Had lunch in this restaurant and was very much pleased with the warm service and great food, Reading and interpreting the menu which is in Swedish was the only difficult part, hope to see the menu in English (with pics would be really great). One of the better place in Skovde to have food...

Had the opportunity to taste their moose burgers and they tasted lovely. I recommend them. The restaurant is very nice and the food is very rustic and good. Service is great. There was a cozy bar that was very popular after dinner.

Really nice local restaurant in Skövde. The building looks terrible from the outside, but don't let that put you off. It's worthwhile opening the front door and going in. The interior is astonishing, don't quite know how to describe it. Shabby chic maybe? Regardless, it's very personal and the toilet must be visited :-) The food is good, nothing extraordinary but well prepared and well served. Decent prices. I'll keep on returning over and over again, every time I'm in Skövde.

Had a really great tasty fresh lunch here with my friends. Skövde's premium golf course with a restaurant to match. Great service!

Really loved this nicely decorated restaurant with beautiful modern copper chandeliers and comfortable chairs . The service is young , very kind and enthusiastic in explaining what the kitchen has to offer . We shared an assortment of sausages , olives , cheese , homemade fruit bread , chutney and preserved onion rings which was really good .
My perch was perfectly cooked with crunchy skin and tasty flesh served with beurre Blanc and fresh vegetables quickly cooked . Boiled small potatoes on the side . My husband 's aged steak was juicy and tasty , great his home cut thin fries .
We had two different Swedish beers as in Sweden we thought was good to try what they produce . We only saw the desserts that have been ordered by the other tables as we unfortunately were too full, but they looked amazing especially the creme brule' with the berry sorbet .
The price was ok for Sweden .

Skövde, where Volvo produces their car engines is a pretty, and pretty sleepy, town.
The best place I could find to observe locals and a few tourists going about their daily lives was this little coffee shop in the former town hall. It is a long time since Sweden abandoned her mayors, but this house still stands on the main square and is almost romantic.
Food is good here. Foreign guests, please beware: don't let your coffee go down the wrong throat! Prices are steep. But that is common in this type of shops in Sweden because here also waiters enjoy a reasonable salary, and your petit four or Sandwich has to shoulder that.

I have eaten here several times for lunch and once for dinner. The lunch buffet is very popular and the restaurant can be crowded between 12 and 13.
Service is very friendly. When we ordered our dinner the waitress advised us to take a bit less. I like that!

Lunch restaurant with "dish-of-the-day" service in a shopping centre. Reasonable selection of dishes and slightly better than run-of-th-mill alternatives. Prices are also standard for the service provided

Mamma Mia is a very nice place which reminds small restaurants in Italy. And people who work here have warm welcome for their clients. Warm bread, warm blankets when you sit outside on a windy day... Human warmth compensates for cold Swedish climate and makes Italy almost real.
No problem to come with children.
As for food, I would recommend pizza and scampi. Scampi con Aglio e vino bianco, to be precise. Fresh delicate taste, tender structure. Refined simplicity. Mm-m... I actually regret that I haven't tried desserts and refrained from alcohol... Have to come again :) Pizza is quite cheap for such quality, btw. Mamma Mia also serves lunches on weekdays.

As you'd expect in Sweden, this place has great coffee, espresso and pastries. Server spoke better English than me.
