The Spot Restaurant has been a fixture on Historic Courthouse Square in Downtown Sidney. We feature fresh ground burgers, made from scratch pies and hand breaded onion rings and pork tenderloins. W ether you dine in our retro dining room our pull up to one of our car hop served stations you will be transformed back to the 1950's Americana. We look forward to serving you!
Okay- so this is # 8 on the top 19 places to eat in Ohio before you die and it’s a must! Here’s what we learned: the burgers are all meat- no fillers. All of the pies are amazing- especially the fresh strawberry and sugar cream pie. The chicken tenders are really juicy! The toppings on the burgers are fresh and crisp. Their french fries are coated in some sort of MAGIC- they are really awesome! Love the decor- a 60’s red and white coke motif. The jukebox takes quarters and works- mostly 50-60’s music- just adds to the atmosphere. We hear the malts are incredible- but we were too full to even get one to go. The portions are good for the price. The slaw is good- but it’s vinegar slaw- not on the sweet side. This place is worth the trip!

We enjoyed our lunch at the Bridge Restaurant. Sandwiches were quite good -- real Turkey! It was a little dark inside, and the wait staff seemed preoccupied with setting empty tables for dinner.

Tasty pizza, tasty spaghetti and meatballs! Overall a good family restaurant that seems to do an equally successful business with takeout. Typically we go there to get lunch, and they have some good combos of small pizza, salad and drink, or similar for a decent price. If you are ordering a larger pizza, know that in this geographical area, it is common to get your pizza cut into small squares as the default. If you want pie shaped slices, just ask and they are good at remembering to cut it as you request.
A note on the spaghetti and meatballs: this is placed into an aluminum disposable round pan, spaghetti on the bottom, meatballs in middle, sauce, and an entire layer of yummy melted cheese on top. This is a large serving, so could be shared, and it is what one of my kids orders every time we go to Cassano's. The leftovers are easy to take home in the aluminum pan.
The only downsides here are that sometimes there is quite a wait for a table and little room to sit and wait. In addition, many many people order takeout, so these people are coming into the same area to pick up and pay for their pizza, using the same narrow entry hallway. And then you have the people who have finished eating and are leaving as well (same narrow hallway) - as you can tell, more often then not, I have been stuck in this narrow hallway waiting to move in one direction or another! Being a busy establishment, I have had to wait a little longer than expected for food, but it does always arrive hot and everyone receives their meal at the same time.

When college girl comes home, first thing she requests is Cazadore's. I love that it is a family business and that it is not a chain. I am a big fan of the salsa, guacamole, and queso. Prices are extremely reasonable. Definitely the best Mexican in the area.

I love sushi. Lima lacks decent sushi. This spot is just down the road a bit, in a less than optimal location, but location doesn't translate to food quality.
Well worth the trip. We had a pile of excellent rolls. Extremely fresh and tasty.
Service was spot on, extremely friendly and attentive.
Finished off with some fresh green tea ice cream.
Very authentic and quite a surprise for our neck of the woods.

My first experience with authentic Senegalese cuisine was a real taste treat. I had the grilled tilapia which came with side dishes of mixed ingredients ($12, reasonably priced). The fish and sides were delicious and new to this 74-year-old who has dined at restaurants in all 50 states and a couple dozen countries. Everything was freshly prepared by our gracious host/chef/owner. The only downside is that the restaurant is a tiny "hole in the wall" in a strip center that has seen better days. (It seems to do mainly carry-out business.) Nonetheless, the food and hospitality make for a great dining experience, and we would return on another visit to Sidney.

and the buzz goes around town fast, Chilly Jilly's is open! Then the line forms. I've waited for over a block to get my twist waffle cone. So let the line do the talking, Chilly Jilly's is the place to go for ice cream if you are in Sidney in the Summer.

Established 1965. A true iconic fast food restaurant in Sidney, Ohio.
A good family fast-food restaurant. I have only ever eaten lunch here, but I consistently hear that they have a very good breakfast, and I can attest to seeing long lines in their drive-thru during morning hours.
With regards to lunch, they serve the usual hamburgers of various sorts, some sandwiches, fish, and a few other items. Most notably, on 2 Wednesdays per month (1st and 3rd, I think), they will serve an "International" meal representing common food of that country. We will try to go there for these meals, and have always enjoyed the ones we have been able to fit in our schedule. Otherwise, they have daily specials that are varied, and a good deal.
This is a fast food place where you order and pay at the front counter and they will bring the meal to you. The seating area has windows on three sides and is well lit. The tables are cleaned promptly, and the trash is emptied before it overflows.

Stopped in earlier this week during the late afternoon for a cup of joe for an evening road trip west. The place is fairly small and they seemed to be in cleaning mode when I stopped around 4:30 pm like they were planning to close the doors soon, get folks out and go home. My cup was not the freshest but I guess that's cause it was near closing time.

Smok'n Jo's BBq has been in Sidney for several years. The last time we ate there probably was +5 years ago and not really impressed at the time. Not certain if it was because it was new or maybe the staff was very good but didn't go back until today.
We stopped in around 5pm today Tuesday. There wasn't very many patrons at 5pm but they could be arriving later. The place is very clean and the staff greeted us with a smile and very helpful They have Draft Juengling and several bottle beers and hard cider but we elected for some Coke products and water. Prior to ordering, we looked at the salad bar, though not as extensive as a Frisches, it still had a good selection of toppings, macaroni salad, slaw, fruit, vanilla pudding, melon and fresh salad mixture.
We decided on ordering Chicken & Pulled pork and Brisket and Pulled Pork. Two sides were available with the meal and salad bar would be $2.99 extra, We decided just on the meat and did the salad bar for $.99 extra. With the drinks, a small loaf of sour dough bread and cinnamon butter was offered. We hit the salad bar and started eating and enjoying the bread. In about 10 minutes are entrees were delivered. The smoky flavor was evident in my pork and brisket. On the table they had 3 sauces, honey mustard, regular bbq and hot bbg sauce. I like the hot - not like a fire engine but rather a small bity tang, the other two sauces were good and my wife used them since the hot was just a little much for her. Our bill with salad bar, 2 drinks and entrees was $39 . They may seem high but we took home a meal from the left overs.
