Old Mill is well located on the road outside of Great Barrington right by South Egremont. It is a nice space with friendly staff. Unfortunately,!the high priced steaks were not great. They were very well prepared but the quality of the meat was not consistent with the quality elsewhere. Low quality beef gets this place just three stars.

During our stay at the nearby Inn at Sweetwater Farm, at the recommendation of the inn's hosts, we indulged in homemade ice cream at SoCo Creamery. YUM!! Everyone in our group found flavors to love - including our one dairy-free eater, who loved the mango sorbet and dairy-free Dirty Chocolate ice cream.

Of the best meals I've ever had and could not have asked for a cozier colonial setting. Arrive a little early and enjoy sitting in the cozy bar to exchange some laughs or thought provoking conversations with the locals and other dinner guests. It was a lovely quiet dinner with terrific service- attentive without being intrusive. Halibut was excellent and so was the potato leek soup. My husband had the lamb along with the squash and pancetta risotto which he found to be prepared to perfection. The majority of guests that evening were staying at the inn, however, we made a 45min trek through beautiful long and winding roads to get there- the trip was definitely worth it and we look forward to returning. We encourage you to include this stop on your Berkshire "to-do" list if you are traveling with your significant other, close friends or even alone.

We came here upon a recommendation of a friend and we're glad we did. The salads we started with were huge, even though they were smalls. They were so tasty.
Our two pizzas were great too. Our waitress was great...friendly, efficient and nicely wrapped up all of our leftovers.
Recommend.

They have such delicious fresh doughnuts that are baked every morning! They have a variety to choose from, including light yeast doughnuts or cake doughnuts! Besides doughnuts they have choices of breads for breakfast and breakfast sandwiches! Everything always so good! The owners are very friendly!

We stopped with friends after an afternoon hiking and found hospitable service with delicious coffee (kudos for both the coffee and the barista), light snacks like excellent fish tacos, chili, burger.

For over a decade, Roma Pizzeria has been Canaan's destination for good food and great memories! Relax with friends or family in our comfortable atmosphere while you grab a bite to eat, or call in for a delivery. Our menu features a variety of items from crisp salads to delicious pizzas to grinders! Guests rave about our Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza and our tortellini. Stop in throughout the week for lunch specials but don't forget about our weekend dinner specials! We look forward to serving you soon at Roma Pizzeria!
This looks like a hole in the wall next to the railroad track but it serves excellent food in king-sized portions at low prices. The pizza is very good, but the pastas and entrees, served with bread baked on the premises, and large salads are an exceptional value. If two people share you'll still have left overs. The sea food chowder is only served on weekends - try it.

Just down the road from the Old Inn is our sister property, The Southfield Store, a hidden gem that operates year-round as a coffee shop/café by day, and a casual late-week dinner option from mid-May until November 1st.
Holy moly, I wish I could eat lunch here every day!! Friendly staff, wonderful ambiance, and the food was incredible! I highly recommend the Reuben and the tuna melt. I was so happy to learn they could use gluten-free bread for my dietary restrictions!

Hubby and I love The Bridge. The food is always good and the service fast, friendly and efficient. We particularly love the slow cooked Prime Rib (available on Fridays and Saturdays). Portions are generous and everything we have ever had has been good. Somehow, on those nights when we want a little pampering, we always end up here! Thanks, The Bridge; we are so glad you are here.
