We were traveling to Dallas from Lubbock. Some family members wanted DQ. We decided to look on Trip Advisor for alternatives. Could not have picked a better place. The beans were delicious. Everyone liked them. I had sliced brisket, beans and fries. Another sliced brisket with beans and house potato salad. They said it was great. Another also had brisket, beans and house potato salad. Another had fried catfish and the mustard potato salad. Everyone thought all of the food was great. Don't be too quick to judge the place by the outward appearance. Great food, great service and great prices. We will definitely make it a point to eat there again. Skip DQ and Subway and have some BBQ.

Have always stopped at this DQ on the way to Dundee. Always enjoyed the big trees around it, clean dining area, and fast service. Stopped yesterday and couldn't believe how run down it had gotten. Women's restroom horribly filthy. Service extremely slow. Dining area not clean. Won't be stopping here again for awhile.

This is not a no smoking establishment, so be prepared when you walk in 'cause it hits you right away. The non-smoking section is in the back. We sat in booth by restrooms and could smell it slightly there. We visited 1:45 on Friday and shared CFS dinner plate and fried pickle appetizer. Chicken fried steak was not great, chewy and overcooked crust but not awful. I still ate it all. They do give generous portions and nice, large glass for drinks. We were only guests and never saw waitress again after delivery of food. Pickles were ok. Batter was kind of corn meal base. Posted a pic of those. We were passing through on way to Lubbock.

Absolutely a must eat in this town. The atmosphere is more of a bar than a steakhouse, but I trusted the reviews, took a seat at the bar, and ordered a steak. KC strip cooked med-rare, with bb and a salad. All really tasty. Sweet tea and service were great as well. If passing thru, it's worth a stop.. Enjoy

Pizza the way you want it, subs, wings, and calzones too! Their lunch specials change daily, but are always delicious. Beer, soda, tea and other drinks available. If you make it on a HAMBURGER lunch day, you must MUST eat there! The burgers are the bomb!

You’ve got a nice mix of country cooking with fried okra and burgers, and some healthier options for the mindful eaters like myself. I very much enjoyed my salad which was grilled chicken upon a fresh bed of spinach with walnuts and feta. The place has the small hometown feel where you aren’t rushed like at chain restaurants. The prices are also very reasonable.

This is a great place for a sandwich. There is no inside dining but they have the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. There is also a deli counter inside with items to purchase by the pound. If my waistline would allow it, I would eat here at least 5 times a week. There are daily specials.

Usually we love Chicken Express and stopped here on our way to Lubbock. There were a max of 4 people already eating when we placed our order. We waited.... and waited while at least 5 people came in, ordered and got food. We got our money back (we had not even received drinks) and left. Wish I could award a 0 because a 1 is being too generous.

There were five of us looking for Mexican food in Seymour. I don't know whether there is another Mexican restaurant in Seymour, but I doubt it. The food here was good enough. It seemed a little more "Mexican" than many TexMex restaurants. Service was friendly and quick (actually, the waitress was friendly, which offset the rather grouchy man at the register) and the dining area looked clean. I might not make a special trip to visit here, but I'd go back again.

We stopped for lunch on the way to Dallas. Service was good, even though the server apologized and said they had 14 take out orders and several tables filling at the same time. Tea in large mason jars was included with lunch for around $8. My cranberry chicken salad was a little sweeter than I prefer but was still good. He had the chicken spaghetti special. Both entrees were served with salad, fruit, and delicious homemade bread. Chocolate sheet cake for dessert was wonderful with frosting like homemade fudge. I would have something else next time, and we would definitely return.
