Out of the Fire Cafe is a family owned and operated casual restaurant serving New American cuisine year round. We have been creating flavors amidst laughter and friends since the year 2007. The Cafe is tucked into the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania, conveniently located near area ski resorts, Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, numerous state parks, and the rushing Pennsylvania Turnpike. Out of the Fire Cafe welcomes guests with an open kitchen where guests are able to peer into a mesmerizing scene of flashing flames and artistic finesse. The spacious dining area is complimented by an incredible view of the Laurel Highlands ridgeline. Deck dining is offered when the weather permits giving diners the opportunity to take in the rolling countryside. We are a Bring Your Own Beer or Wine establishment so don't forget to snag your beverage of choice. For a reservation please call the phone number listed below.
Came with my husband, my parents and our 13 year old son. We had a reservation on a Friday night. A wonderful woman took the reservation over the phone, wish I could remember her name because she was so great. Our server was fantastic as well, she was so helpful and friendly. This is the first dinner experience I’ve had here, we have been for lunch. Fantastic byob policy. The specials were delicious. The cheese tray could feed a small army. You certainly get you money’s worth in portion size. Steaks were delicious, salmon melted in my mouth. This is such a gem, we had a wonderful family time. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

Helen's Restaurant is the perfect place for a truly fine dining experience. Helen's continues the tradition of offering an upscale dining experience in a rustic setting with unique food that cannot be found anywhere else on the mountain. The menu at Helen’s features fresh creations from local ingredients. We take great care in carrying on longstanding traditions served alongside fresh presentations featuring locally sourced ingredients.
Located along side of the ski slopes at the Seven Springs resort, this rustic lodge provides a wonderfully romantic atmosphere for dining. The service was great. The food was expensive. Average main course about $40. Unfortunately the food was not up to the standsrd that you would expect for the price. It was not bad, but not as great as you should expect in such a pricey place. The duck confit was rather stringy, the veal shank was about as good as you would get in any Italian eatery for half the price.

We got a birthday cake here . I don't have any pics to post because it was eaten rather rapidly! The decoration was great and whoever did it took their time and did a fine job. The cake tasted amazing! Highly recommended.

Great little place with an awesome view! Nice place for a quick bite, lunch or appetizer - any time and especially after golf. They also serve breakfast sandwiches and eggs in the morning. Really the only place open in Hidden Valley, off-season. They have Fairway Friday during the summer with specials and live entertainment. Specials include taco night, steamer buckets, grilled sausage, hamburgers and club sandwiches. We especially liked the Fairway Fries - French fires topped with pulled pork, BBQ and cheese - paired with a cold beer! Delicious!!

Silver Horse Coffee is a family run cafe born in the mountains of Southwestern Pennsylvania. We provide the finest coffees and local goods to guarantee that you experience and remember your time in the Laurel Highlands. Eat. Drink. Ride.
Don't let its strip plaza location fool you, this is a true independent coffee shop opened just short of a year ago. Great design, texture painted silver throughout with woodsy lodge motifs prevalent in the area. A full barista menu is offered with many Torani flavors and seasonal specialty drinks, teas and top notch matcha. Light food accompaniments are available as well.

I recently made a larger order (8 pizzas). We tried both the white and regular pizza. The service was good and the pizzas were ready on time (pre-ordered). The reaction to the pizza was mixed. Some really liked it. Some did not.
Personally, I did not care for the pizza (not the type of crust I prefer as it was more on the bread side as opposed to hand-tossed...similar taste to a bakery pre-made crust one would purchase).
Thank being said, I would try this place again. The beer selection was very varied and the chicken looked amazing. The prices of the sandwiches seemed reasonable.

Located on the fourth floor of the Main Lodge at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Slopeside features amazing views of the mountain, gracious service, comfortable family dining and great all-American selections
... from an overpriced hotel buffet. The breakfasts were very good (pricey, but that's expected at a vacation resort). Other meals, not quite as much. The meats were always dry and marinated in something godawful. But everything else was OK.
We spent only a day and a half at a boardgame convention on site and ate breakfast twice at Slopeside and dinner once (technically, at Timbers, but you can order the Slopeside buffet from that venue as well).

I was with a group, so I got to try different appetizers and see different sandwiches. The wings are unremarkable and appear to have some coating. They appear to be frozen and the sauces were predictable - I tried the buffalo, bbq, and garlic which were the best. The bleu cheese appeared to be house made as well as the ranch and honey mustard. good sauces, not so good wings. The soft pretzel sticks were also frozen and mircrowaved. They became quite hard as they cooled and were devoid of any unique or flavorful taste. The nachos with pulled pork were the best appetizer I tasted and the pork was not bad-not great, but not bad. The toppings on the nachos was a tad skimpy. My sandwich was a grilled cod on a roll with remoulade sauce. They put little sauce on it and it would be much better with more of the sauce. The cod was adequate and sauce was above average. The cole slaw was creamy and institutional. They have single serve pizza's and my friends said the pizza bread (it was french bread style) was good. They have a version of the Primanti bros style sandwich that had lunch meat roast beef and was not very substantial, lacking overall adequate filling. Prices were higher than average but on par with the rest of the over priced food at the resort. Average cost of sandwiches was about $15, do not go out of your way to eat here. They do have a nice deck view of a lake and you get to hear the soothing sounds of shotguns firing at the adjacent skeet range if sitting outside.

My friend and our children (3 teenagers) stopped here for lunch during the Mother Earth Fair on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy. We asked for two checks and was told our orders may not come out at the same time.
As my friend has dietary restrictions, she asked the waitress if they have gluten free buns. The waitress replied that they "don't even have bread" in their kitchen. This confused us, as there are several burger and sandwich items on the menu.
My friend ordered the Nachos Supreme without cheese and sour cream for her dairy free child. We ordered two of the Alpine Chicken Sandwiches, one without onion. The nachos arrived with cheese and sour cream. Without realizing it, my friend ate a chip and her daughter double dipped one of my fries in the salsa. After I pointed out the error, the nachos were removed from the table and our waitress exchanged them with another waitress who served them to the table behind us.
One of the chicken sandwiches was served without onions or salsa, the other didn't have avocado.
Although the food was tasty, I'm not sure I'd want to return here.

Good Pizza. Great value if you can snag some of their coupons. There is a small amount of seating in front. They also offer local delivery
