Perths 63 Tay Street is regularly billed as one of Scotlands top restaurants. Set in a typical imposing grey stone building, the small but perfectly formed dining room is pure elegance from soaring ceilings to polished wood floors. The menu is made up of British classics given a contemporary twist, so youll find your Aberdeen Angus served with an oxtail sauce and your Inverurie lamb rack, neck and shank may be served with traditional neeps, but youll also find chorizo mash on your plate. The use of fresh, local ingredients and fine produce sourced from further afield means that every dish promises to delight those tastebuds.
We received an itison voucher for the tasting menu here and my, what a wonderful gift it was! Cosy restaurant down by the river, with very attentive and friendly staff. Everything we had to eat and drink was first class. We can't wait to return.

Perth's only Authentic Indian Restaurant. Owned and run by Praveen Kumar and his wife Swarna Kumar. Opened 2009. Both born and brought up in small rural communities in south India. At Tabla we use fresh, farm grown spices by own family in India. Praveen has gained great wealth of Food and Restaurant management skills from The Gleneagles Hotel & Turnburry Hotel, where we workedover 6 years. Tabla is well presented restaurant with stone walls and open kitchen. You'll find cheerful and well attentive staff to exceed your dining expectations.
I have visited several times over the years but this time it failed to match to both previous visits and expectations. The restaurant and staff were up to the usual standard but the food was well below what we have had before . The lamb dish was less than tender as described and the chicken tikka had certainly been boiled . A shame as it was always reliable, perhaps an off night or new chef in the engine room.

The North Port Restaurant Perth is situated in the heart of performing arts just a step from Perth's Concert Hall and Museum and a few meters from the historical Fair Maids House. The building housing this restaurant dates from 1774. We look to welcome you with relaxed contemporary dining. No fuss, just come along and enjoy the food, cocktails, wine and service. We also have our fabulous private dining area 'The Tay Room'. 'The Tay Room' is available for lunch or dinner and can seat up to 20 guests at no extra cost. Our menus for private dining can be adapted to suit all occasions.
Very welcoming & cosy atmosphere. Lovely low beam ceilings & lovely rustic but classy feel. Food is exceptional and lovely choice to choose from. Had set menu or al a carte menu. Very reasonably priced. Staff very accommodating & knowledgeable about the menu. Toilets are upstairs not sure if they have disabled access on ground floor. Toilets are even lovely & have extra touch Maybe worth checking although would assume they do.

Thai family business since 1998. Our Thai chef is committed to give you an authitic Taste Of Thailand as close as possible using local Scottish Produce. Our customer service team are look forward to welcome you and take care of you in our establishment.
We weren't sure what we would find in Perth for food options but were pleasantly surprised to find Mae-Ping's Thai food! The food was delicious and the cocktails were beautiful and all sounded and looked amazing - I didn't even know Rhubarb Gin existed! The Tom Kah soup was full of flavor and the Pad Thai also did not disappoint. The Sweet potato fritter appetizer was also quite nice - tempura battered and fried! Our waitress was new - you could tell she was just learning and needed some help from the others here and there but she was very nice and attentive!
We have full bellies thanks to Mae-Ping!

Authentic family restaurant. A little tight for space but brings the feeling of proper Italian busy restaurant.
Family enjoyed the brushetta, while i personally enjoyed the generous meatball starter.
Mains all presented us with good portions and flavoursome food. Half portion available for our 9yr old. Plenty of flavours present in my pasta.
Desserts enjoyed by all. Cheeseboard fine too, altho i did feel cheese could have more stronger cheese...but thats a preference.
Overall great and enjoyed visit

This was our favourite place when we lived in Scotland so really missed it when we moved to Somerset. A Scottish Winter visit to Effies was a must and the lunch with friends did no disappoint. Worth travelling 450 miles for. Well done George and all your lovely friendly staff!! Thanks so much from Pam and Lawrie.

at Nawaabs it is our number 1 priority customer satisfaction with over 25years of experience and our interior designed to a very high standard in the ala carte and buffetand the rest you can judge for yourself, so why not dine in with us in a Nawaab style
Rather than the usual Christmas Party food we decided to go here for a meal before our works night out.
The food was superb with a service to match. We ordered a la Carter rather than the buffet a didn’t regret our decision. Lovely atmosphere, great service and top notch curry!
I will be back, next time with my family!

The coffee was pretty good and the Panini was tasty unfortunately the table wasn't clean warranting more than a simple wipe over. The electric radiator where we sat by the window hadn't been cleaned for a long time displaying a build up of grime. A review of the in house cleaning policy is certainly recommended.

A family run restaurant in the heart of Perth serving good, local food and drink. Food served lunch and dinner from 12 noon. Menus change every month and set menus are available at lunch and dinner too.
Had dinner with a group of friends. Although menu is small there is also a specials board. Service was good and food very tasty. Nice atmosphere
