Stopped by and ordered chicken salad on a croissant---YUMMY!!! And the coconut cream pie was the best. Homemade/fresh food is always better.

My son and I sat at the bar and enjoyed an excellent meal while served by attentive and friendly staff. Food quality and taste was way up there. Definitely recommend to eat here if driving between Houston and SA. We tried the strawberry field salad, Asiago/mushroom pizza and the lamb burger. The goat cheese and the salad was excellent and complimented the fresh strawberries and grilled shrimp. Thank you. We will be back if in the area again.

Hey it's Dairy Queen. Stopped in for a Blizzard to satisfy the sweet tooth and cool down a little for the heat.

Ina's kitchen is a family oriented restaurant. We serve comfort foods with a gourmet twist and Food is cooked fresh and from scratch upon ordering. All salads are made with fresh lettuce that is cut daily.
We were so tired and hot rom spending a day at the Round Top Antique Week that we didn't want to get back in the car to drive somewhere. We ended up walking over to Ina's and we were peasantry surprised. I just had a side order of grilled green beans but my friend had a full meal and it was clean, the service was excellent.

I now eat here at least once a week. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets are so good that I have yet to order from the big menu. Everyone I have taken there has found something to their liking. Sausage & Sauerkraut every day, outstanding pork ribs most of the time, real roast Turkey and dressing on sundays, salad bar, great peach cobbler.....soups, fried chicken, ham on various days. Great breakfasts. Decently long hours, friendly service. And a great candy and kolache store in the front room. Not expensive...great value for money!

With nine others, our planned lunch location was closed. Lucy's wasn't! Can't cover everyone else's choices, mine was the chalupa supreme and a marg. Good food, good marg, really good service and reasonable pricing.

I was excited to try Frank's when traveling through Schulenburg because it's been around forever and people have fond memories of it. It was really lacking, though. Their menu is limited, which is okay, but my brisket sandwich and potato salad was expensive and bland. The pies weren't very good either, and were very expensive for a piece of pie. The service was very slow, to the point it seemed like we were being ignored.

Who rated this joint down? The brisket is up there with the best we've had in Texas -- better than Kreuz, better than Southside. The sausage is delicious as well, and the jalepeno sausage I has just enough bite without being too hot. My only fault is the pork, but this is a complaint with joints in Texas. Just don't do pork shoulder. Texas pit masters don't know how to cook it.
Prices are fantastic, lower than in Austin.

You cannot travel south Texas without stopping in a couple of Whataburgers which originated in Corpus Christi. Many of the restaurant have been remodeled or are completely new thus you can find a clean place to eat a quick meal. There is a lot of consistency among the various Whataburgers and this may be due to the fact they are family owned. This one was very clean, the food was delivered to our table quickly and the hamburger was large hot and good tasting.

Another must see and experience place while in Schulenburg, Texas. The bar is very impressive and the owners have kept the bar/restaurant in the family for over 100 years!!?
