We were unsure of where to go while in Schroon Lake, and chose this restaurant. It seemed busy inside, which we felt was a good sign. Once seated, my wife and I ordered. We both had steak. We found both the Delmonico and NY Strip to be very bland. The side was a cup of canned corn which is descriptive enough. We didn't enjoy the meal, and then when we saw the bill...well let's just say you can get far better for far less elsewhere.

Family owned and operated, this place does breakfast like no other! Tables are shared by the customers, so you always meet new people. The food is exceptional - pan cakes as light as a feather - omelets that are fluffy as air. So delicious. The service (by the family - Maureen cooks and Roberto runs the register) is wonderful and friendly. It really is a General Store so you can pick up souvenirs and food items as well. Great deli counter. Don't miss this Adirondack gem.

Very cute and inviting. The staff was young but professional and friendly first thing in the morning...lol. The coffee was fabulous, probably the best in town. The bagels were good as were the GLuten Free pop tarts. My kind of place to start a busy day. Well done!!

Sticks & Stones Wood Fired Bistro & Bar located just off Interstate 87 in Schroon Lake, NY. Fireside dining inside and outside. Dog friendly patio. Featuring Adirondack Rustic ambiance with gracious local art decor. Authentic Wood Fired Neapolitan Pizza. Serving fine wines, local draft beer and hand crafted cocktails. Fresh seafood, steaks and nightly specials. Vegetarian and Vegan options available. OPEN 7 DAYS PER WEEK year round! During summer serving lunch and dinner everyday!
My wife and I had heard good things about Sticks and Stones, so we took some scenic back roads one evening and stopped here for dinner. We had dinner on the patio, what was nice was we had our dog with us, the service we all received, including Tilde, was above and beyond. Very good food, excellent selection of craft and domestic beers and a well stocked full bar. We will definitely go back! As a side note: I had been here years ago when it was Barry Gregson's rustic furniture gallery. Always interesting to see different businesses in the same building.

We always make sure to stop by for pies. They are all home made and great selection. We are here for breakfast the first time and menu is not large but if you like hot cereal, eggs or pancakes/French toast.
I usually order the pull pork and the barbecue sauce is home made. The best tasting sauce.

if you want casual atmosphere, paper/throwaway plates, etc., virtually no wait staff, but great Italian food, this is the place for you. The restaurant is crowded for good reason. Inexpensive and great food. While most people order from a large array of pizzas, we got Italian dinners: chicken and eggplant parmageans. We were not disappointed..

Casual Family dining with the best steaks and pasta in the area. The most authentic, original Adirondack atmosphere in the surrounding 100 miles. If you are looking for great food, great service and a fun time, give Witherbee's a try.
Folks are always friendly, and they feature "Open Mike" night every Thursday. Wonderful talent. They even put on extra shows like their Comedy Tour which was awesome. Famous folks do come to Schroon Lake, and they gather here as well as the Boat house. Shakespeare on the Park too. Schroon Lake Rocks.

Don't miss this place. Entrance is through the general store. Wine samplers are great. As are the slushies. Nice selection of food items if you're looking for something light. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Enjoy the weather by sitting outside, or stay warm inside.

Looking for lunch after pulling into town, we saw the open door and went in. Outdated interior but genuinely the nicest couple running the place. We ordered and received an excellently cooked thin crust NY-style pizza that had ample toppings and a good tasting pepperoni and a nice cheese layer to match. We knew we would have paid more at other places local and away, and not come away as satisfied. They had garbage bread that we saw others enjoying, and the calzones were appealing and might be our next target when we go back camping later this summer. They have seating outside that puts you front and center for the street action. Helpful staff that made you feel at home, and an overall satisfying lunch that left us hungering for another chance to dine here!

One time the drake family owned this motel, along with other business in town. Now I think that they lease the place out to whoever each season. Last year we stayed in the motel and the rooms defiantly are showing their age. The motel needs sprucing up, painted more comfortable beds and outdoor furniture. Someone ate lunch on a picnic table and left all their chicken bones and mess. It sat there for two days before management finally cleared it off.
Now maybe the person that leases it this year may do a better job but I have my doughs. Always Chefnfly
