Sant Joan de Labritja (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈsaɲ ʒuˈan də ɫəˈβɾidʒə], Spanish: San Juan Bautista) is a village and municipality of the Balearic Islands on northern Ibiza. Among others, the resorts of Portinatx and Cala de Sant Vicent are located there. The actual village of Sant Joan is a quiet street, dominated by an imposing Christian church, and is the meeting point of Sant Joan de Labritja Municipal Council. One may find several small cafés and restaurants (including the locally well-known Vista Alegre, as well as a taxi rank, outside the Municipal Council building and the local office of the Guardia Civil, the Spanish Civil Guard. Towards the west of the village is the origin of the Torrent de Labritja, a tributary of the Riu de Santa Eulária, the Balearic Island's only constant-flowing river, although the Torrent only contains water during the winter months; throughout the tourist season, the stream is a dry river bed full of green vegetation.

This was our second visit to this place as we thought we had missed something the first time around. Why is this place so popular? They say it is authentic Italian but it is not. The service was terrible and so slow. Our starters of pumpkin and sweet potato soup with Camembert was so sweet that it would have made a better dessert. The other starter of salt cod fish cakes were too deep fried and very unattractive looking, just 4 tiny meagre 'things' thrown on the plate that I thought I was in some nasty backstreet takeaway establishment in a part of dodgy London! After waiting an hour for our main courses, during which we heard several customers asking how long their food was going to be, we realised by then that we should have left straight after our starters. The duck was underdone (and I like my duck pink) that you could still taste the blood and the seafood risotto consisted of 2 prawns, a few pieces of mange tous (weird) and was plated up so crudely that you would have thought a child had made it! When I was asked if everything was alright with the risotto and told her that 'no, not really', her rude response to me was 'there is nothing wrong with the risotto and that it was me' - what a nice way to talk to a customer! DO NOT be taken in by the hype, AVOID! There are much better restaurants on the island.

At La Luna Nell'Orto we offer the best Mediterranean cuisine where creative dishes, homemade fresh Italian pasta and tasty grilled meat and local vegetables are the main attraction of our menu. The essence of the unique flavor of our dishes lies in the homemade elaboration of our foods, using quality local produce and our own garden to supply our pantry.
Went to Amante and Bambuddha - would rather come back here. Great food - especially vegetarian options, in a beautiful grotto like setting. Wine great. Service lovely. I would highly recommend.Thank you so much for your so kind message ! We hope to seen you again very soon !

Great rustic al fresco restaurant serving grilled meats.
Loved the tomato and onion salad. We had the chicken which was juicy. The entrecôte was perfect and needless to say so was the T-Bone.French fries were good but a bit oily.
Let down by the desserts.
The staff don't speak English but not an issue.
A great place for meat lovers.

Born from our passion for food, design and all things beautiful, we invite you to experience The Giri Café. A perfect location, nestled within the walls of a 300 year old townhouse and opening out onto a dreamy, sun-drenched garden; it’s hard to imagine a more idyllic spot to enjoy the finer things in life.
We enjoyed the quiet setting in the garden. Our food was also prepared and presented excellently by the chef: the chef clearly showed care. Since the price was quite reasonable, I almost feel guilty noting that the quality of the meat used in the entrecote could have been a little better – definitely not at all bad, but not top-notch either. The sea bass (or bream?) my wife had was excellent. The serving staff members were very friendly and helpful as well. However, the bread with very nice tomato pesto would have been nice to have earlier than being served with the main plates we had ordered. All in all, I would definitely return here if in the northern part of Ibiza again.

We decided to have an early evening meal after having been snorkelling all day. We had been refused in one place as they did not start evening menu until 7pm . We arrived at the Jardin around 6pm looking slightly bedraggled with sea swept hair. However after a friendly welcome they were more than ready to serve evening meals. We got a fab table on the outside balcony. It was a warm clear evening and we sat until well after 8 when the sun had gone down.
We just had burgers but they were so delicious , big and meaty with cheese that you could actually taste. The chips were gorgeous. We shared a bottle of wine and the bill was only around E30. We were not hurried out, although it wasn't that busy, despite the fact we were there for ages.
We returned on another occasion for cocktails before bed. It was after 10pm on that occasion and again we were met with a friendly welcome. The restaurant looked like it had been busy and there were still a few diners left. We again got seats on the outside Terrace and were knocked out by the strength of the delicious cocktails. Best Tequila Sunrise in a long time.

Caballito del Mar liegt direkt am Strand S'Arenal Gros in Portinatx im Nordwesten von Ibiza.
It had started to pour down one night and we darted in here and sat down. Very glad we did. It looks like a basic beach bar type place but be put off.
It looks like 2 sisters seem to run things front of house, one was certainly English although she speaks fluent Spanish and has lived there for about 14 years I think she said.
We were made to feel very welcome and had drinks served to us quickly which is unusual in his resort where drinks service is generally slow!
We knew we wanted a pizza that night and they have enough on the menu to satisfy everyone. I had a spicy diablo and my partner had a margarita. Both were superb. Thin crust, hot, lovely toppings, one of the best pizzas we'd had....ever I think.
We had cocktails which were nice too and a free liquor type shot at the end which is a nice touch. Apparently they do a lot of homemade cakes as well which sound good and they cater for the British, Germans and Spanish with their menu. Recommended.

Es Puet Blanc liegt direkt am kleinen S'Arenal Petit Strand in der Bucht von Portinatx im Nordwesten von Ibiza.
A good old favourite, the pizzas are relatively cheap and in my opinion the best in town, also try the meat kebabs, hanging skewers of melt In your mouth lamb or chicken, served with vegetables. Delicious, probably one of the best eateries in Portinatx. Highly recommended, staff fantastic and friendly.
