Simple, but good enough quality with nice staff, nice located in a mediocre place. Nothing special, just nice. If you have to spend the night here than it is OK, but otherwise: don't make a detour for this place or restaurant. A lot has to happen to make this a tourist attraction.

This is the bussiest place on the mountain to have lunch. Just at the the end of the gondola and where al skilessons starts and end is Kreischbergwirt. So it didn't surprise us that it could be very busy between 12 and 1 when all lessons end and everybody needs to have a quick lunch before next lesson starts. Despite of this the kitchen manages to deliver an constant quality of food in their self service restaurant. Soups are very good and all other warm receipts are exceptable. Toilets are like most of this restaurants downstairs and that is always difficult wearing ski shoes. Just be aware off the prices of the drinks. A coke for €4,- is a bit to much, but who cares, you're skiing and having fun!

Although we did not visit Kreischberg in the skiing season, the weather was quite cold and rainy. It was good to have a rest in this nice, friendly restaurant. The view was really beautiful and the foods and drinks were delicious. The stuff was very kind, however the bartender did not speak English very well. So if you visit the place, prepare your German (or Hungarian) language knowledge.

We found this place on a way to Corinthia so we stopped off. We had a burger, which was ok and a salad with hat was supposed to be grilled cheese but turned out to be more of turkish pastry with cheese. Dissapointing. The garden is ok, service was fine. The prices were averages. We wouldn´t stop here again.

Visited the place for several years. The previous owner was a character - and the ownership was transferred to a nice young local person. The whole crew does the best to continue the traditions. Good atmosphere, nice meal, excellent wines and beer. And service. Iit...MoreThank you for your visit and your rating :-) We are sorry that the rib-eye-steak was not as what you expected. We are going to give more attention to the quality of the rib-eye... We hope to see you soon Best regards Laura and Roland

Went here with my family on sunday evening while most of the restaurants were closed. Typical austrian interior with different 'rooms'. The menu is fine with many austrian classic plates. Next to that some plates for kids. Unfortunately no wine card so we had to do it with some local wines which were not bad but not what I really like. Service was oke. Especially the owner did his very best and was a good housekeeper.
Be aware; only cash payments and no cards!

We had lunch (Menu #2) here, which comprised either Zuppe or salad followed by one of the local signature dishes (so,I'm told). We had one of each then both had the Mushroom Goulash with knoddels. The zuppe was passable but the salad was drowning in dressing and limp, bong appetising at all. The goulash, yes the goulash, I'm not sure what to say here. It was VERY thin and runny and made with ONLY mushrooms!! There was not a sign of a single other vegetable to be seen...perhaps this is how it should be but really, after the first few mouthfuls it became very boring indeed! The knoddel was probably the only part of the entire meal that was enjoyable. I'm sorry but we will not be returning.

After a walk from Murauerhutte to Frauenalpe and back we stopped here for lunch. Run by a young and enthusiastic couple we had some typical Austrian dishes and some drinks on the Terrace. Nothing special, but the atmosphere makes it worthwhile.

Austrian Restaurants tend to be quite meat heavy and there is not much variety in Murau so this place makes a refreshing change from schnitzel ;-) The pizzas are good the service is good and they do have Takeout boxes for those that can't finish it all.
