Most vacation spots are either relaxing (Tahiti) or family-friendly (Orlando). Sanibel Island, however, is that rare place which is both. Spend a quiet afternoon shell-collecting, or find a hotel with a kids' program so you can enjoy a trip to the spa or a round of golf.

Good location with ample parking. The ice cream is good and the chocolate is great but don’t get shortchanged when it comes to portion size. We ordered small sundaes and had to hunt for the ice cream. It seems that the amount depends on who dips!

We are open and looking forward to seeing our winter residents and new friends as well this season ! Featuring Continental Drift Cuisine with French, Asian and Southwestern influences. Fresh Gulf Seafood, Aged Beef and Florida sourced vegetables. A limited but diverse Wine List specializing in Small Boutique California and Oregon Wines sprinkled with beauties from France, Italy and South America. And great Art...Featuring an entire gallery of Markus Pierson's "Coyote Series". The True behind the Blue - The Blue Coyote Supper Club!
My wife and I had dinner at the Blue Coyote last evening. We play tennis at the Beach View Tennis Club across the street but never had dinner at this supper club. I had an excellent red wine (Van Duzer) while she had a martini with blue sapphire. We both agreed that this would be a great place to visit in the future for a good drink and small plate. What I enjoyed most about the wines was that they had a section of wines by the glass all of which had a 90 or higher rating. This is quite rare for wine by the glass. She started with escargot while I selected steamed clams. Both were excellent and larger than either of us expected, based on other restaurants.
She also selected a nice shrimp ceasar salad while I had their Coyote chop. Both selections were extremely good with plenty left over to take home for a lunch. The service was also excellent and the owner was walking around frequently interacting with diners asking us how we were enjoying the food. We will be back for 4 weeks next winter and will place the Blue Coyote at the top of our list for a great meal and drinks.

Our party of 6 had an excellent meal which no appetizers or desert or hard liquoir (we did have wine) and the bill was $635. (note for a party of 6 a 20% tip was included).
We had the Bouillabaisse, Martini Seafood, surf and turf (2) Phyllo Shrimp, and Duck salad. All were excellent....but you are paying a lot for the sunset view as you dine.

Much easier to negotiate than the main Love Boat store, the ice cream is the same - awesome! A wide choice of flavors, cones, bowls, concoctions awaits the happy beach-goer and the promise of a visit to this establishment can be the perfect way to get the kids off the beach in record time.

Warm and Inviting dining areas with a separate bar/lounge. Piano music Tuesday through Sunday from 7:00pm evenings. Daily Happy Hour from 4:30-6:00pm in the Lounge.
Beautiful upscale restaurant on Sanibel. Food was excellent. Atmosphere beautiful. Excellent piano player.
I have a mushroom allergy which the chef was happy to accommodate. Made me a wonderful veal dish without mushrooms. 9 of us and everyone enjoyed their dinner.
Christina was our waitress. She was EXCELLENT! Highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area.

Authentic French Country Bistro Dining with classic cuisine favorites, Petit Plates, Prix Fixe Tasting Menu as well as A la Carte. Make a Rendezvous with Chef Christian and Mari Vivet on beautiful Sanibel Island. SIMPLY FRENCH!
If you like genuine French food this is the place for you. It is just like a good local place in France. The food is outstanding particularly the various stews such as lamb (naverain), chicken (coq au vain), and rabbit (lapin). The foi is a treat as well as the ris de veau. The service is efficient and very friendly and the high ceilings keep noise level reasonable. We have going since it opened and it seems to get better each year.

Since opening in 2013, The Sandbar has become known for its incredibly fresh seafood and choice cuts of beef and pork. We take great pride in having the best service staff on the islands. Check out the reviews or come in and find out for yourself!
Stayed at a condo next door and called for a reservation but was told fully booked - but “open seating at bar and nearby high tops”. Came in at 7:45 and all seats at bar and high tops were full, so we waited next to...MoreI was disappointed when the hostess told me what happened. You are 100% right. You should have been seated and we absolutely deserve this review. If you are still on the island, please let me make it up to you. Brian 239-472-0305.

This is a cute island local ice cream shop that's worth checking out. No need to go to Dairy Queen down the road. This place is better. The bakery next door is amazing as well.

We proudly serve old-fashioned, signature fried chicken and all the soul-food fixins. We cater comfort food!
When we decided to plan a day trip to Sanibel we started looking at restaurants. We are casual type people who like the small out of the way gems. We didn't see anything of much interest until we seen The Pecking Order. The inside is tiny but cute, you order at the counter and then wait for the food. Wasn't a long wait, got our drinks and went outside to sit at their counters. It was so nice and relaxing. The food was amazing! Fried chicken is cooked just right and crispy. Ordered the chicken and waffles. Waffle was great, portion was decent. Only comment would be less or no powdered sugar on the chicken, just the waffle. Was a bit to much. Tried their fries and mac & cheese for sides. The fries smallest portion was great for just one, nice amount. The larger sizes would be great for sharing. They seemed like they had been under a warmer or maybe just waiting a bit till the rest of the food was ready. Otherwise they tasted great! Mac & cheese was a big favorite of my husband who is quite picky. Portions of sides were right, prices good and chicken delicious!! Whenever we plan a day trip there, we will be eat at The Pecking Order!!

We went to watch the Buffalo Bills in their playoff game. The bartenders here are excellent. The drinks are good and the food is average. The bar is located near the pool with an excellent view of the ocean.
