We had a delicious meal at Torino. Our waiter, Diego, was friendly and attentive, professional and helpful.
The fresh, hot bread was delicious and Diego's Malbec recommendation was very good. We started with papas bravas, and they were the only disappointing part of the meal. There was too much sauce and it was too sweet, and also the potatoes weren't crispy. We've spent a lot of time in Spain and have been spoilt with perfect patatas bravas over there. (Wikipedia describes the Spanish ones really well!)
However our mains were really delicious. We had the rib eye steak (best steak ever), the deer goulash, the Caesar salad and the cerviche. All were really, really good.
Diego also gave us a great recommendation for dessert.
We would definitely return to Torino's, a very nice restaurant in a beautiful little town.

First I must say I was very excited to find a vegetarian burger in Argentina, and it even came with fresh vegetables! For that they deserve 5 stars :)
The veggie burger was great. My husband ordered a pizza which with also good, but pretty small.

we arrived a the doorstep of this family run restaurant just as the owner was about to close for midday siesta. He left the restaurant specially open for us and served us the best fish meal we had in south america - excellent local trout with a few other wonderful dishes from his innovative kitchen.
all with impeccable hospitality from the heart,
dont miss out on San Martin and this place,,,

One of the best steaks I've had in my whole life. We don't really eat much steak anymore as it never compares to the steak we had at Don Florencio!!
Delicious and big portions. Really busy restaurant so you might want to consider booking ahead! Worth going to San Martin just for this restaurant!
We were only here for one night so could only eat here once - unfortunately!

We had lunch here yesterday. We had a small pizza with Pancetta and Egg that was very good except the crust was soft. The two empanadas were quite tasty-a beef was excellent and the chicken quite good but just a tad bit dry. The waitresses were all very nice, though none spoke English. Ice cold beers were good as well. The place was packed with locals/Argentineans-which is always a good sign. Prices were just fine, all the above plus two beers and a water was about $20. Would definitely return!

Pizzas here have 2cm of cheese, tomato and not much of anything else. Far from your traditional italian pizza. It is more a tarte au fromage you will get. All this fat and tasteless. But if u starve it'll feed you!

I am a great fan of La Costa del Pueblo, but went to dinner last week and some things have changed, the rabas are not the same, my pork chop was tastless, but that was probably my fault because I choose the wrong thing, I...MoreThank you for your rating, hope to delight you with our meals on your next visit.

Lunch for 2...
Veggie Sandwich, ensalada, scone, y cafe.
We split the Sandwich vegetariano as it had queso delicioso y was grande.
La ensalada & scone equally delicious.
Capuchino and Americano were made for sipping.
Located in newer Alpine design building. Open light decor, with of course, some flowers...tranquilo. Seating inside, on front patio, or inner courtyard.
Staff was friendly, attentive.
Yes a little pricey for a small town cafe. San Martín de los Andes is not an ordinary small town. Being a beautiful, popular destination on Ruta de los Siete Lagos.

Pizzas, Empanadas, Hamburguesas caseras, Ensaladas, Postres y mas...
They say their specialty are hamburgers, I didn't have time to try them, but the provolone pizza is a must.

We ate here three times and service was great and fast. They accommodated our large group every time, not only with tables, but whatever the little ones wanted to eat, it seems that "no" is not on their menu. Well done.
