Step to the beat of wafting flamenco music as you wander the downtown River Walk before sampling as much chili (San Antonio’s signature dish) as your taste buds will allow. A visit to the Alamo is an absolute must, as is taking in a show at the ornate Majestic Theatre. San Antonio Missions National Historical Park is dotted with 18th-century buildings and features, making for an enriching excursion.

We were here one year ago and I think this trip may have been even better than our last. If they have it on the menu, the short ribs were delicious and the branzino got rave reviews.

Outstanding service and great food! It’s even better than Fogo de Chao and Texas de Brazil. The staff is very positive and ready to serve. The variety and qualify of meat is exceptional. For salad lovers, there is a nice salad bar. Love the accompaniment- - mashed potatoes, polenta, Parmesan bread and plantains. Our favorite cocktail is the Brazilian caipirinhas.

We had our belated Valentines Day dinner here. The service, drinks and food were excellent, as usual. Our waiter even personalized my entree order. It was amazing! Wildfish is our favorite restaurant.

Bohanan’s fame is founded on sublimely tender prime beef grilled over fragrant mesquite wood. Enjoy extraordinarily delicious Akaushi beef, Chef/Owner Mark Bohanan’s large custom cuts of prime aged corn-fed beef, succulent seafood flown in fresh daily, and spectacular table-side desserts flambé. Imbibe a classic cocktail at the first-floor Bar at Bohanan’s, then join us upstairs for the best steak you’ve ever eaten. Located in a historic building in downtown San Antonio about a block from the River Walk. AAA Four Diamond rating and Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence.
Came to Bohanan's during a convention a few years back based on the rating. Loved the steak and sides. Came back again (twice) during a recent convention. The steak was top quality and perfectly cooked. The sides were excellent and portioned right. The oyster appetizer was really good. The bar has everything you can think of.
This is a place I plan to return to next time I am in San Antonio. I also recommend it to friends who are traveling this way.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the visit. The specialty drinks were special which is not commonly true. The specialty of the house are the prepared Smoked Meats and cheese appetizer. This is well worth the money to start. Everything was delicious. Maybe the best hamburger that I've had in a long long time.

Diane (in training) and Antonio were our main servers. We had Beef Carpaccio and Fired Oysters as appetizers. (I underestimated the amount we'd get and wish only ordered one appetizer). They were delicious! Then I had Lobster Bisque soup that was also delicious. Then my wife had a 16 oz Ribeye w/Sautee Spinach and I had a Filet Mignon w/Potatoe Au Gratin. They were first class. The Assistant Manager, Mr. Oscar Diaz, took me around and showed me the different private rooms they have available since he learned I may come back w/a group. He was very professional. My wife had an excellent Sangria and I just mention this so that when I tell you all of this cost us $175.00, the totality of the bill makes some sense..

We are local and independently owned and feature Southern European, mostly Mediterranean food. Chef Sean Fletcher leads the kitchen crew and with Sous Chef Anthony Grabda has established an outstanding menu focused on creativity, balance, quality, and value. Our small and intimate dining room and wine bar is one of the most unique and special places on the River Walk, San Antonio, Texas, the United States, and maybe the World. It's literally like walking up off the River Walk into a small Spanish bistro or Italian grotto with its natural limestone rock walls, candle-lit tables, and its cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Our professional and friendly staff will always treat you with a 'We Are Glad You're Here" attitude. We are proud to be the 2016 San Antonio Express News Critics' Choice for The Best River Walk Dining! Please join us for dinner.
We came on a Tuesday night to celebrate our anniversary wanting a special place on the river.
They have a great wine list, but the food was terrible and the service very very slow.
My husband was very clear with the waiter he was allergic to shellfish when he ordered his meal, and they brought it out with shellfish. Then it took them over 30 minutes to get a new meal.

Overlooking a quiet bend of the San Antonio Riverwalk, but within walking distance of all Downtown hotels and the Convention Center, Biga on the Banks highlights the daily changing menu of Chef Bruce Auden, the most frequently James Beard nominated Chef in San Antonio. Menu features seafood, steaks, lamb and wildgame with a preference for local and sustainable product, but do leave room for the Sticky Toffee Pudding. With high Zagat ratings Biga is an ideal venue for a romantic dinner for 2 or has impressive private dining rooms to entertain clients.
This was our first visit to Biga in San Antonio. We had dinner as part of our anniversary celebration, and we were looking for a nicer/upscale restaurant. Biga definitely delivered. The menu was varied, although leaning a little more towards seafood. The restaurant was very elegantly and creatively decorated. Our waiter was extremely attentive, regardless of the number of tables assigned to him, and was always anticipating our needs efficiently. The food was delicious, and presented like you would expect in an upscale restaurant. When it came time for dessert, the staff was nice to congratulate us on our anniversary as part of the dessert presentation (see pic).
Overall a great restaurant, delicious and elegantly presented food, and an experience I recommend for anyone looking for upscale dining in San Antonio.

Some people rant about this place. I withhold the rant, but it's worth a visit. First of all, it's a greasy spoon diner with Mexican motif, so don't go for the atmosphere. Second, if you want gourmet tex mex, this aint the place. Enchildas is what they're all about. It's not an extensive variety on the menu. and it's not exotic recipes.
However, I felt like I was eating a home made meal by my real Mexican Abuela. There was something quite satisfying about it. Very unique.
I'm not Mexican, but felt like it for a short while.

Feast is a contemporary restaurant that serves a seasonal selection of sharing plates. Located in a historical building in the beautiful King William district, Feast is a local favorite for its innovative dishes enjoyed on the spacious patio or inside the restaurant and bar.
The menu is innovative and tasty, and definitely makes this a place worth trying, but in my mind, they need to fix a number of things if they want to get a 5-star review. Gripe #1) The place was really cold. We were there after they had been closed over the holidays, and they explained that no one came in until (4?) that afternoon to turn on the heat. O.k., I'm glad for the explanation, but I can't reward you for poor planning. #2) The tables are worn, and look cheap. We were inside, but the white melamine-like tables looked like they belonged on a home patio. They had chips large and small in the surface. #3) The wine menu lacked years for vintage wines. While the year isn't important for many wines, they have plenty for which it is, and many close to $100, and several above that mark. I should be able to pick a wine without asking the server to tell me the vintage of ten different things on the list.
