In a small whitewashed house, you find Koloni both café, restaurant and bakery. Here everything is made from first rate organic products. Enjoy good food, fresh baked goods or a glass of fairtrade wine in our island setting café. Or a berry pannacotta, passionfruit flavoured cheesecake in the pretty garden filled with piones and corn flowers.
Had a nice lunch here with great fresh raw ingredients. Good choices of salads in a bowl and raw bean burger. The wraps looked excellent, would have gone back for these if we had time!

Welcome to Artipelag Restaurant on the third floor of the Artipelag art museum. We offer a lunch and brunch buffet based on ingredients of the season. We rave for ecological and locally produced food and many of our ingredients come from our own cultivations on the roof. Outside the large Panorama windows is the beautiful archipelago nature. Here you will find our inspiration, welcome and join us!
An excellent Swedish Buffet. It is a large space with fabulous views of the natural environment of pines, rock and water. The buffet selections were very good and well worth having. It is self serve and you pick your own Seating. Very highly recommend.

Restaurant Holmen, located in the marina of Grand Hotell Saltsjöbaden is the main meeting place for locals and visitors. The restaurant has maintained the local atmosphere and this year expanded with local lounge built on a barge.
Food is fine, value for money. The menu offers some standard meals and a small selection of fish and meet.
Take the train, boat or car to Saltsjöbaden between May and September and you will have a wonderful evening in the sunset in the middle of the archipelago.

There are two coffee shops at Tyresö Castle nowadays - one in the courtyard of the castle itself and then this one, at the end of the park, over the little wooden bridge to the island of Notholmen. The café is cheerfully decorated - indoors and out. They have small-scale outdoor Concerts on Friday evenings in the summer, too.
Family-friendly, pet-friendly and the cakes and food were delicious and not too expensive. A nice little walk round the island and park, then back to the bus stop and back to the city in 30 minutes.

At Saltsjobaden Train station close to Grand Hotel, the marina, the sailings boats and the ocean you find our cozy cafe and restaurant situated in the red old station house. We serve lunches, sandwiches, beer and wine, ecological drinks, freshly made coffee and espresso, cinnamon rolls, brownies, carrot cakes and other various goodies. Everything made by us in-house. We cook everything from scratch, using fresh and seasonal ingredients. We also have a small shop where you can find nice tea, honey and other gifts. Welcome! Annika with staff
QUALITY: good! The cake and the teas we bought were very good.
PRICES: cheap (in comparison with Stockholm's ones). Tea at 28 Sek and a piece of cake at 35 Sek.
SERVICE: kind and willing. We arrived just 5 minutes before closure, but the barmaid anyway offered us to use the toilet and all the necessary for eating on the outside tables.

Restaurant and Bar Sea Front is located at Grand Hotel Saltsjöbaden. Here you will find the chefs choice and á la carte menu. Enjoy some food and beverage on the outside Terrace or take a drink at the bar - all with a view of the ocean. The restaurant also has table Seating and a lounge inside. The kitchen serves a classic cuisine in a modern way with produce from Swedish farms, forrests and lakes.
Grand Hotel in Saltsjöbaden was designed in the spirit of Hotel-des-Bains on Lido outside Venice. It is the hallmark building of this old-fashioned residential area, a 25 min. train ride from The Old Town in Stockholm. Italians love it. It has a quiet restaurant called...MoreDear Christer, Thank you for a splendid, historic and detailed review of your visit at Sea Front. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your meal and we hope we get the opportunity to welcome you back again. Sincerely, Jenny Höglund, Front Office Manager

This is worth a trip. They call it Sunday brunch but it is really as gorgeous buffet with fresh, excellently prepared dishes--hot and cold. All you can eat. And you can sit outside on a big Terrace and watch the yachts sail by. The staff are friendly and helpful. On the menu, we particularly liked the smoked and the "gravad" salmon, the seaweed salad, the fish cakes, the chicken, and the waffles. The ideal way to get here is by boat, but it is not too difficult to come here by bus from Slussen in the city.

This place has a great atmosphere from the early 20th century Sweden. The staff is very friendly and the coffee is good. That pretty much sums up the positives with this place. The food options are not many or very good. My daughter ordered pancakes and had to eat another lunch when we got home because the portion was too small (and she is 5 y.ol! Imagine if I had ordered the same dish...). The Goulash soup I ordered was definitely not a goulash soup. The ingredients including the spices were just not what goes into a goulash soup. I am Hungarian so if there is anything I am an expert at it is this! My recommendation is to stop by the place if you are in the modd for a coffee or tea in a nice setting but to keep it at that.
