Also a posada type small hotel. Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner - a mainstay of Mazunte's community, as popular with locals as it is with Mexican and foreign tourists. Especially known for its pizzas, the restaurant also does excellent Mexican classics such as enchiladas and enmoladas and chilaquiles. For breakfast, they do crepes, yogourt, granola and very nice smoothies.
I landed on this place two days into my 10 day stay in Mazunte and was glad I did. Regina runs the place mornings and afternoons and serves up breakfast all day. A simple menu, but everything she does is done nicely, from the crunchy granola on the bio yogurt, to her enchiladas, which were the best I had the opportunity to try.
Evenings belong to Rodalfo, who obviously knows something about Italian food - his lasagna bolognese rocked, even with Mexican cheese, and although I didn't get a chance to try his pizza, I hear it's really good.
Atmosphere is laid-back and service here is generally casual, but very friendly and accommodating - if you want less cream on your enchiladas or more granola on your yogourt, just ask, and if you are not getting the salt & pepper fast enough, just get up and get it yourself. At night they dim the lights and turn up the music a bit - which seems to be quite varied and good.
Rodalfo also runs the posada guest house, adjascent to the restaurant, which looked clean and quiet enough, and maybe cheaper than others of similar quality which are right on the beach - less than 100m away.

A friend and I visited this restaurant after receiving a recommendation. It was excellent! Very quaint with a tree growing right inside. I had pulpo al ajillo that was the best version of this favorite dish I've ever eaten. My beer was icy cold. My friend had a huge seafood cocktail full of shrimp, octopus and other tasty things. Really enjoyed the meal and left stuffed.

The nearest Restaurant to the One Hotel. It seemed to be a chain rather than a local restaurant. The two pizzas were very poor. The Steak was ok as was the pasta.

Mariscos a nuestro modo.
