The Chez Nous has been trading on this site for several decades but was relaunched in May 2016 by chef patron Ian Carr, Ian is a well travelled chef taking in all the textures an flavours along the way. Ian has guested on TV and also cooked for Royalty and within the TV, film & music industry. The menu as the restaurant reflects both the French origins of the original Chez Nous and Ians european influences
Went end of January for lunch . Very surprised at the high price for a two course meal. Would have liked to see a slightly cheaper alternative menu...light snacks?...I had chicken bourgignon ...(.two pieces of chicken thighs in red wine sauce with mashed potato..)
There was very little meat on the chicken and the potato dry and tasteless..as a desert I had the rice pudding....a huge bowl of pudding which I had to add my friends anglaise cream to make it less stodgy....
The young lady serving was very pleasant and we didnt have to wait long for food to arrive. ..the main problem I found was that the toilets are down steep stairs.....so if you have a member of your party with mobility difficulties using the toilets would be probably impossible...however the toilets are very clean and stylish...sorry but I wouldnt go to chez nous again. However, I dont like to be completely negative...my friends had the salmon and one had the risotto both of which looked delicious.

The Fat Loaf restaurant in Sale is an absolute find and a local favourite. The brainchild of chefs Paul Taylor and Tim Wood who trained under Michelin-starred Marco Pierre White at the Lowry, The Fat Loaf is a brilliant bistro. The open kitchen lets you watch them work. Sourcing is taken seriously – local wherever possible, excellent at all times. The menu is modern European prepared with imagination and flair. It’s perfectly set in a storefront restaurant with slate floors, white chairs, neutrally coloured walls and an array of art photography on display. Formerly a bring-your-own-wine place, The Fat Loaf now offers a short, thoughtful, international wines list at prices so reasonable you’ll have to blink
I do enjoy a classic dinner at the Fat Loaf. It’s near where I live, so it’s only a quick stroll, and also the staff are always very friendly and helpful. The menu is fabulous but the service could have been a bit quicker. The scenery is great and I enjoyed the food. Ultimately, it was a great meal and I would recommend this place to a friend

Visited this restaurant tonight for a retirement celebration. Our party took over this restaurant for the evening. What can I Say other than the food and service were excellent and beyond. Many thanks to you all at Zautoon. No wonder you have fantastic reviews.

Bar San Juan will be closed for the festive period from 25th December and re-open 5th January.
Great like spot. Friendly. Buzzing. The food is just amazing. The beef cheeks are one one the finest things I have ever tasted. We shall return.

Five of us ate there last Sunday..Decided to try the Sunday special served between 4pm-8pm..four courses £ 11-95p same very high quality & representing unbelievably good value for money..Served with the usual quiet, attentive efficiency.
Reviews are of course entirely subjective but for us this is the best in this town or any nearby. Another bonus is that you are never ever pestered to write a review.....very highly recommended

Came here for the first time in September and quickly returned. Good food, nice atmosphere although at times it does feel a little ‘local’. Will be coming back again and again for the great service.

Great space, pizzas children’s menu good.
Slightly limited menu
Coffee was good but lukewarm, not the first time maybe my personal taste
Very generous portion of pizza fingers and addictive garlic sauce! Highly recommend for a snack!
Kids love the ice cream - nothing fancy just flavoured walls whips type but lovely all the same
