We loved this modern, stylish cafe/restaurant in central Saint-Brieuc, and the fixed-price lunch was amazing value - a main course (baked salmon in a tomato sauce, with mashed potato with hazelnuts), desert (a tangy lemon tarte, and some gooey soft chocolate cake), and a glass of wine - for under 13 euros. One of us also had the melted goats cheese and honey on toast - which was incredibly tasty. The service was extremely friendly and quick, and they cater very well for young children (there's a toy kitchen in one corner for them to play with). Be sure to get their early - it's deservedly full at lunchtime - though they do take Reservations.

Simple but well cooked fish, light crispy batter, very good chocolate mousse as dessert. Very nice and helpful people. The location is cozy, beautiful, original, unexpected.
They have one high chair, so make sure to reserve it if necessary.
They have a 8.50 euros kid meal, nicely done, with the same fish and chips as for the adults but in smaller quantity, a drink and a dessert. Kids got pencils and paper when we were drinking our appetizer, it was a nice thought.

I would like to say that our meal here was outstanding, but I'm afraid I can only say it was good. A very dear French friend chose it for us as she knows we love fish and seafood. The menu was very complicated to understand and the food was okay, but nothing to rave about. The service was good. I don't think, however, that we would go again

500 grammes of pure heaven grilled dans la cheminée. INCREDIBLE! I've had similar steaks in several US states as well as in Florence, Italy, but this was BY FAR the tastiest, juiciest, tenderest cut of beef I've ever had...Our server (the proprietor) recommended a Gigondas red that married PERFECTLY with the meat as well. A must try for the meat, the ambience, the service...EXTRAORDINARY!

We paid a flying visit to St Brieuc over lunchtime and were depressed by the touristy resaurants in the small mediaeval area. We found Le Madure rather hidden away quite by chance. What a wonderful experience. A shady Terrace, an interteasting good value lunch menu and attentive service. They were caring aboiut my husband's gluten allergy.

L'air du Temps was simply plucked from the internet by our son looking for a convenient restaurant for us to eat en famille, midway between his holiday hotel in Brittany and our home near Chateaubriant. What a happy choice it proved to be.
We arrived in typically Breton rain and were warmly welcomed, despite my having booked for six covers instead of eight - a problem swiftly sorted out with good grace by the manager.
All dishes were nicely cooked and well presented. We particularly liked the way the two children's meals were served - other restaurants could learn from this.
Should we find ourselves in St Brieuc again, we will certainly pay a return visit.

This restaurant does not look much from outside - just like a regular bistro. However, it's very funky inside and the food is excellent. Everything from the amuse bouchée to desert was excellent. Well worth getting the sat nav out and making a detour!

We went to La Croix Blanche for a family lunch with our two kids. The restaurant is elegant. The service is excellent, with a very discrete and knowledgeable staff. The cuisine is fine, delicious, beautifully presented with a lot of research. We all loved it! Even the decoration of small herbs add a creative touch and flavor. Excellent!

I am on a never ending search for the perfect Frangipane Crepe, and I finally found a creperie that serves this treat in Saint-Brieuc. I visited this restaurant early on a Saturday afternoon, and I enjoyed my visit. Keep in mind that the restaurant is very small, so it's best to get there early. The food came out quickly and was very satisfying. The menu has all of the classics with a few unique options. On the first Thursday of every month, you can enjoy the Breton classic Kig Ha Farz.
