Vila Velha serves real food, made from scratch with highest possible ingredients. We offer a very friendly, informal service, in a really cosy ambiance.
This was the most expensive restaurant we ate at during our stay, it was not the best value for money but the atmosphere service and food made it worth the money. The rabbit was very good ,nicely cooked and full of flavour.

Food was really not good but we were still sat looking at a beautiful beach so it was still pleasant

Our room at Marthinal was not ready so we popped down to Sagres village for a quick lunch after arriving tired from Ireland with our three little girls. Although it was almost closing for the afternoon (3.30pm) we were served a lovely lunch by pleasant...MoreDear Costumer, Many thanks for the wonderful review posted recently and for taking the time to tell us of your experience with us. we have the pleasure of welcoming you back again. Dromedario Bar celebrates 30 years this June 2015, it's one of the oldest bars in Sagres! We serve tasty snacks and fancy cocktails in a friendly and multilcultural environment, so come and meet us!
Loved this friendly little place. Delicious cocktails (my personal favourite is the local almond liqueor and sours drink). The salads, burgers and wedges were well beyond what you'd normally expect and included some great vegetarian and vegan options. just what I needed at the end of a day's Surfing.

Surprisingly good food considering the touristic location. There’s a café part with somewhat modern food (pasta, burgers) and restaurant part with traditional dishes like mixed grill and Algarvian tuna. Tasty dishes with good ingredients. Staff is correct but not super charming, the venue is typical and well looked after. Our dishes didn’t arrive at the same time and one side dish was not served but still charged on the bill. We had lunch with 4 people for 90 Euro, including desert and coffee.

Pleasant setting and nicely decorated, excellent food, very friendly staff. In other words all 'ingredients' present for a perfect dinner.

The Restaurant Retiro do Pescador is located in the village of Sagres, in a quiet and peaceful place and with a family atmosphere, with capacity for 130 people. With a good menu of fish and seafood always fresh. Accepts group Reservations.
Tourist crowd came by bus and was already inside when we arrived. Ordered mussels that was over-over salted, dorada was plain and everything other in the plate was left untouched because of taste. Kid loved french fries and left grilled chicken because of strange smell. Price/value was very low for our meals. Would recomend to search for another place. Huge dissappintment for a perfect beach day...

This not a review but a small rant....
My wife and I visited for lunch a couple of Sundays ago having had a great meal here the previous year. So we sat down, the restaurant was busy so we knew it would be a leisurely lunch, no problem we were in no hurry...
15 minutes in, menus handed over, waiter/owner hurries off taking orders and serving.
20 minutes in and a few glances to him and the waitress indicating the chance to order a drink would not be amiss....
25 minutes in, a few more glances, a couple of hopeful waves and still no one thinks we need a drink..
30 minutes in, tables who arrived later than us (locals, good luck to them!) have ordered and still no one thinks we might want a drink and perhaps to order some food
31 minutes exit angry English couple with some choice words for the waiter/owner and his bone idle waitress, who looked like the classic sulky daughter.
No skin off their nose I guess, restaurant was busy, who cares about a couple of middle aged Brits seemed to be their thing but really left a bad taste in my mouth.
Had brilliant lunch in place round the corner which actually overlooked the harbour so I'll now write a good review about that and put this place on the "used to like it but wont go again" list.

During our trip we tried a lot of different restaurants along the coast.
None of those were as good as Babugem!
First of all the atmosphere is amazing, it's small and cozy, the decoration gives you the feeling of a relaxed and chilled vacation.
Second, the food is outstanding! The side dishes are huge, you get a big salad and French fries or cooked potatoes with your fresh fish (fished on the same day) or your absolutely delicious steak. The shrimps are also to die for.
Third and last, the staff is absolutely friendly and makes you feel like old friends.
It's the right place for a romantic dinner for two or for a big family with lots of kids!
Try it out and you won't be sorry :)

Terrace Restobar / Gourmet Shop / Beach Wear Shop ... We have one of the best views in Sagres ... Full Moon Parties / Sunset Parties ... Wine & Cocktail Shop
Stopped off here for lunch and the amazin views. Food was lovely we had the Aberdeen angus burgers. Service was a little ropey as the waiter had his lunch whilst we were having ours but hey maybe this is the portuguese way!!!
