Had the tasting menu here with the wine flight. It was amazing and each dish was delicious. The paired wines were fantastic.
The service was so friendly which was really nice as we had felt a little akward due to the grandeur of the location.
The breakfast in the morning was also great.
Would love to visit here again.
also could not believe it did not have a michelin star - this meal for far superior to other places we tried this trip which do have one!

At the Old Station Restaurant & Bar we offer great locally sourced food at reasonable prices. Dine in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, in the unique setting of a converted Victorian railway station on the world famous West Highland Line. We are located at Spean Bridge station where the Commandos began their training during the Second World War. Relax beside the fire in our public bar and enjoy local real ales. We are the only bar in the village serving real ale on draught. We also have a good selection of malt whisky, Scottish gins and wine. We have a gluten-free menu which is available on request. Children are very welcome ... And we even have a special menu for the wee ones! Our Bar is open from 5pm until late in high season. Our Restaurant is open from 5.30pm until 9pm
Interesting location, very friendly staff although slow service and the food was disappointing especially for the price paid.
This Restaurant obviously thrives on the tourists as anywhere else they would need to do much better. We travel this road monthly and will not visit again

Situated in the rural village of Roy Bridge, The Stronlossit Inn, a former croft serving food daily from 12-9pn. We offer a range of local beers and an extensive malt whisky list.
Lunch for 4. Soup, scones, salad, tuna sandwich--all good. Friend said the tuna Sandwich was the best he's had. Prices fine and service okay.

Had my usual chicken rumbledethumps which was lovely and a massive portion. No room for pudding., 2 courses and 2 drinks each for £54, excellent value for a lovely meal.

Serving outstanding cuisine with fresh local game and a selection of seasonal produce, Russell's is an AA award winning restaurant incorporated with the Smiddy House at Spean Bridge near Fort William. Once you have experienced the fine dining in our relaxed environment you may be tempted to stay a while!
From the warm welcome from Robert, the excellent host, to the very comfortable and relaxed lounge, to the excellent service, to Glen's absolutely mouth wateringly delicious and imaginative dishes - a meal at Russell's is a wonderful experience and not to be missed. Do book or you might miss out!

The food was fine, nothing special. A seafood linguine dish was cooked fine, had some local mussels, hot-smoked salmon, one large scallop, and some kind of whitefish (maybe haddock). The garlic and butter sauce was understated, which suited me. Mussels steamed with cider and bacon were delicious, although roughly a third of the mussels were unopened when served (meaning not safe to eat). The server promptly brought us a couple of complimentary glasses of the wine we were drinking after we mentioned it.
I'd think the owners would want to invest in a grill and serve a daily catch of grilled or broiled fresh fish, but there was nothing like that on the menu.
The wine list was adequate, nothing notable but also priced appropriately.

The Lochy Bar and Restaurant is extremely popular with locals and visitors. We are located on the edge of Caol village and near Banavie, by the Caledonian Canal - perfect for visiting yachts and visitors staying in the area. Our family restaurant offers good value, wholesome food with a tasty menu to suit most tastes. We have easy parking and an outside area with picnic tables when the weather is good. If you are looking for a nice evening with some good, traditional food, come on in and give us a try ! Our staff are great and guarantee a welcome smile and good customer service. We are now stocking cask ales during the summer months.
Arrived here as a party of four after local recommendation and weren't disappointed. It's invariably a good idea to find out what's popular with the locals. Fine traditional fare at keen prices and a treat to eat. Drinks prices too were easy on the pocket. Staff were friendly and helpful to a fault. Families were there in abundance, always a good sign. Sometimes it's a pleasant diversion to get away from the grand, and pretentious, and enjoy a simple, satisfying, home cooked meal. Thanks to all the staff, for whom a warm welcome comes without effort.

Three of us shared two starters, two mains and two desserts. £60 in total. The haggis and slow-cooked ribs were fantastic. Other dishes were also very good. Our table was waited by a warm, welcoming and friendly waitress and the service was impeccable. Highly recommended!

We booked a table here through a recommendation. Although the hotel is in a fabulous setting and lovely inside we felt uncomfortable sat in the lounge with our drinks, there seemed to be no atmosphere at all. It seemed strange to order your meal before being seated at your table and we felt a little rushed to choose. The meal itself was lovely but overpriced for what it was as were the drinks. We had a starter and main course but didn't feel full afterwards.
