Jack Allan’s Kitchen is our “Go To” place in Round Rock. The food is locally grown and amazing. The portions are substantial, and the pricing is very reasonable. Our servers have always been attentive without hovering. We have lived in Round Rock for the last 30 years and think this is the best restaurant in the area.

The brisket and creamed corn are great. The whole ambiance completes the experience. You wait on line. They set up a box, measure out the meat, add side dishes and soda cups, and supply bread, sauce, extra waxed paper, napkins, and utensils. The you sit down at a long table and eat off of waxed paper in lieu of plates.

Torchy's is my absolute favorite "fast food" restaurant! Whenever
I am in Texas, I make it a point to eat here at least once. The Green Chili Queso is so flavorful and everything on the menu is fresh and made to order. Favorite tacos include the Deep Fried Avocado, Yellow Finn Tuna, and the Shrimp. I can't say enough good things about this place!!!

Stopped in to grab a to-go order for one of my ailing golf buddies. Ordered a couple of "half-pounders", fries, and onion rings. Food fresh, hot, and delivered promptly.
Burgers were great, fries were good, and the onion rings.... better than just great!
One of my favorite burgers. Only downside, I have to fight the traffic to get there.

We went recently for a Birthday dinner for my wife on 3/1/18 we got there before 7pm and the crowd had not gathered yet. Parking is really poor at this location as all of the spots are really small. This drives me CRAZY because in Texas everybody has large trucks that end up taking to much space so as they try to get more parking in less space it does the opposite. I drove around for 15 minutes waiting for someone to leave and then ended up still ended up parking in the Holiday Inn parking lot.
Went in to meet the family and after ordering a drink our table was ready. The chips are perfect and they sides are great also. I really could have eaten enough to get full off just that. I ordered the Combo Fajitas and really enjoyed them. The rest of our table all really liked everything. The bill came and it was well reasonable.
Will be coming back soon. I doubt the parking will ever get better but the food is worth it.

My husband and I found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. We got there close to closing, but we were seated and received great service from Ricky. We each ordered the combo. It was a lot of food, but it was very good. We will return if we’re ever in the area again!!

We stopped in this place to have lunch since we only had about one hour we loved the prices and the quality of food, the place serves better hamburgers than the conventional places like McDonald’s or there’s fast food places and the customer service was great.

Salt Lick is a nice place to eat lunch. The servers are friendly, the atmosphere is casual and fun, and the food is pretty good. We ordered the senior citizen specials and they didn't even card us, even though we're way younger than 65, tee hee.
I wish I liked the food better, but I just find their side dishes to have very strange seasoning. The potato salad tastes downright weird to me. I couldn't bring myself to take more than a few bites.
The brisket and beans are okay. Service is excellent, really stands out for friendliness and promptness. Overall, Salt Lick is a decent place to stop, if you aren't expecting world-class barbecue.

I frequent this establishment for the raw oysters and the outstanding stuffed flounder. During crawfish season, the selection is second to none. This place is always busy but for a good reason. The Food is well worth the wait. The staff has always been friendly and attentive. Your dollar goes a long way at Deckhands. The portions are bountiful so you won’t leave empty handed. By far, I would say Deckhands Oyster Bar has the freshest seafood in the Austin area. Here is the added bonus, Deckhands also serves Thai styled seafood cuisine. Totally recommend this place as a must eat location.
