There is limited choice on Rottnest and the bakery does do lovely food, the sandwiches were delicious but as others have said it is expensive. Glad I was only staying on the island a day, otherwise you'd need deep pockets

Visited the Dome Cafe yesterday morning for breakfast.
It is staffed mostly by young staff with very poor English.
The queue to order had 12 people in line, with one staff member taking orders.
Ordered breakfast for my wife and myself, specifically requesting that the tea and coffee be served with the food.
Food arrived without the tea or coffee.
The big breakfast food was cold, served on a cold plate.
The hash browns were stone cold and the sausages appeared as if they had been dunked in hot water rather than grilled, as advertised.
When requested to return the sasuages to the kitchen to be cooked, the waitress responded they had too many orders!
Overall, an experience best forgotten.
It used to be a great place for breakfast, but it will be a long ftime before we return.

....when the place was a reformatory for boys in the 19th century as this was one of - if not the - worst buffet lunches that I have ever had. There was a poor choice of poorly prepared, lukewarm, dried out stuff in trays. The dining room was drab and my wife bagged me the whole time about what a poor dining option, I had made.
After lunch we realised that buying a bottle of wine at the general store and then lunching at the nearby bakery would have been a far better option.

$19 for a burger, no chips included. I mean seriously? This place is ok as long as you don't mind shelling out $100 for an average lunch for 4. Just another rotto rip off

It was buzzing after the Rottnest Channel Swim. Quick drink service even though it was four deep at the bar. The food service was quick even though it was busy and the pizzas were good considering. Great choice of live music. It would probably excel on a less busy day.

If the world had more people like Ursula, the world would be a better place! Such a lovely girl, who makes a delicious iced coffee. The ice cream comes from Simmo's next door, and is awesome (coffee crunch flavour). So good.

The newest venue on Rottnest offers 5 senses coffee, fresh made juices, smoothies, cakes and salads as well as an extensive dine in and takeaway menu. Local and Rottnest themed artworks are also on display and available for purchase.
We picked up takeaway chilli mussels and ribs and some salads and garlic bread. What a treat! Big serves and so fresh and delicious and more food than we could eat.
Friendly service while we ordered and totally loved the entire meal. Fantastic meal and so easy. Thanks!

The food is the same standard Subway fare that you can get elsewhere with a few added extras like pizzas. And the consistency and quality are the same as everywhere so you know exactly what you get. Which is why you go to Subway in the first place when you want a quick and relatively healthy meal.
But the staff are something else again. Clearly they don't want to be there and don't care about customer service at all. Why bother stopping personal conversations or navel-gazing to actually serve the customers who pay their wages? Why bother speaking to the customers when you can ignore them or just grunt at them?
Whoever owns this franchise should spend some time in the place and get rid of the staff that so badly let the place down.

We decided to give this place a try when in much need of a cool beer on a hot day. We were served a good enough beer by a pleasant friendly barmaid. Unfortunately the place is a bit tatty and it did not have enough character for my taste, not helped by having on too many TVs - although to be fair it does style itself as a 'sports bar'.
