The Mikuni in Roseville used to be our favorite sushi restaurant in Roseville. Now it has been edged out by Blue Nami, with its half-price sushi roll menu. But we still like Mikuni. It has a very diverse menu with many creative offerings. Our favorite Mikuni is still the flagship Mikuni in Fair Oaks, with more of a neighborhood ambience. Their torched sushi rolls are the bomb, especially the Marilyn Monroll. But I would avoid any rolls that include creamed cheese - not a good fit with seafood.

My wife and I were visiting the area and decided to go here. Half of the place is for drinks only and the other part serves bar food, which is quite good.
We shared an order of pesto fries, which were EXCELLENT, then my wife ordered their salmon tacos and I selected the green Chile pork tacos. Both were very good. I had a wheat beer and my wife had a nice chardonnay. They were perfect. Our waiter was very attentive and they got our food to us quickly. What can I say except the next time we are in the area we will definitely go back.

This is a very good place for breakfast food. If you like eggs, you can have them prepared in various ways. The pancakes looked delicious too. We had perfectly brewed ice tea with lemon and a fresh mint leaf. We also tried a BLT and a vegetarian sandwich. Both were tasty. Service was fast and efficient. The restroom was well supplied, but had a musty smell.

The Fat’s Asia Bistros are individually handcrafted by our regional culinary legends, the Fat Family. At Fat’s Asia Bistro modern Asian cuisine meets timeless tradition.
The restaurant is quite beautiful but the food is just so so. Our first experience was the same . Lovely atmosphere below average food. Dry cold chow mein noodles. Overly sauced and sweetened Honey Walnut Chicken. Cold plates and Inexperienced server. Had to asked another server for water and soy sauce as ours vanished for several minutes just after we were served. We have given this restaurant two tries and won't be back again.

CCF never disappoints. Once again it was a delicious meal. I had the skinny taco salad and it was excellent. It’s huge and takes a long time to eat. Great guacamole sauce, tender chicken , wonderful low fat dressing. How do they do it? The grilled artichoke appetizer was out of this world with garlic and butter marinade. We fell upon them like army ants. Highly recommend CCF!

Il Fornaio Is a great Italian restaurant. Its authentic regional offerings vary from month to month with tasty dishes that you don’t find in most restaurants. Of course they have a menu with all of the Italian food you can get. The service is always top notch too.

We picked here for our anniversary celebration dinner. Wonderful service (until dessert was served & our water glasses were empty). Fabulous petit steaks (melt in your mouth good). My hubby had the fingerling potatoes which were very good. I had the garlic mashed potatoes that were bland & boring. Desserts were over the top! This would be a place for a special occasion.

This was definitely a 5 on all areas. The atmosphere, food, service and portions. It was an excellent choice for a nice family dinner place. The ambiance felt like we were in a ski lodge. It wasn't too loud, yet there were a lot of people. Our server was great and always filled our drink glasses. The steak and prime rib were grilled to order and the fixings were an added value to a big meal. We really loved everything about this restaurant. It's also confidently located right off the highway 80.

This was our first time here as we were trying to see a place to eat as it’s lunch time. We are glad we did. The food was great and affordable. We had some noodles and pizza. The noodles was a bit salty, but they are both the right portions as we don’t want to eat heavy. The coke soda was expensive though. Maybe we’ll Just share one next time. We enjoyed our date and hope to go back —-maybe this time for dinner.

The menu at Paul Martin’s consists of dishes aimed at taking diners back to the American farm with meat raised in a humane and wholesome way, locally sourced organic produce, fish from conscientious fishmongers, artisan cheeses and cured meats from small local purveyors and custom-made bread from expert bakers. The California-centric wine list twists and turns, by glass or bottle, through the Golden State’s fruitful vineyards, with an occasional stop for an Oregon Pinot Gris or a Washington dry Riesling. And behind Paul Martin’s elegantly rustic bar is an interesting array of local craft beer and spirited cocktails with fresh garnishes. Good times and thoughtful food are a way of life at Paul Martin’s local, American Bistro.
Along with a very active bar scene for area professionals, there's a lot to recommend at Paul Martin's Bistro. We started with bar drinks, a Meyer Lemon Drop ($13) and a Top Shelf Patron Silver Margarita ($15), both of which were tasty and well mixed. Along with that we tried the chicken soup ($8) and the Dungeness Crab Cakes ($17), both of which had plenty of flavor to recommend them. A small dinner salad ($6) followed, then the main courses were Filet Oscar ($39), New York Steak ($42), and two of the Skirt Steaks ($32 each). Every one of these main courses was well worth the money spent, cooked to perfection. A side of Mashed Potatoes ($6) made sure everyone had their quota of calories for the night. Afterwards, and after a long conversation that lasted until closing hour, we tried the Apple Crisp ($9) and the Campfire Sundae ($6), along with two regular coffees ($3 each) and a Double Espresso ($3.50), all of which capped off the meal perfectly. Our server was Erik S., who did an outstanding job and made us feel very well spoiled the entire time. So if you're looking for a special occasion restaurant, or just a warm and caring atmosphere to hang out in, we highly recommend Paul Martin's. It is worth the cost of admission.
