Went to The Door with my mother. I had a Wonderful authentic Jamacian meal of seafood soup and goat curry. My mom had the steamed snapper. Service was attentive and timely. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. Only downside was a strong musty smell in the dining area.

Lucky Boy Restaurant has served The 5 Towns in the South Shore of Long Island and surrounding areas for over 30 years. From authentic Greek-Mediterranean cuisine to American classics and everything in between. Leave room for our homemade cakes, pastries and tarts that are the talk of the county! Also try our other restaurant Yiasou Cafe, which is located in Sullivan County, NY.
Five of us came here for a birthday celebration. Although there is not much ambiance or parking , this place makes up for it in friendliness and yumminess! I highly recommend the stuffed eggplant and any of their desserts. There aren't many tables and it can be a bit of a tight squeeze but it is worth it!

Always great service, clean and no wait when your looking for a great breakfast or sunday brunch. The parking can sometimes be full on the street but once you're inside your sure to be seat and food comes right out.

If you're just in need of a quick cup, need a spot for a for a meeting or a place to take some friends to for some catching up, this is the place to go. The service is always friendly, the baked good are outrageous and when there I found out they even have trivia night on occasion. I've been a few times and always had a good experience.

Ate here on our way to Airport. Husband had fish sandwich and liked it! Wedding soup was yummy! Such a nice view and enjoyed sitting by the windows. Zucchini with marinara was awesome. Great little gem to visit. Only complaint was bartender was complaining about her job duties and was pretty loud swearing. Only lasted few mins so didn't ruin our lunch.

I had never been to Itgen's legendary Ice Cream Parlour before, so I was totally looking forward to it. As excited as I was, that's how disappointed I became. I am so sorry, but I cannot pretend this place was clean. It was blatantly filthy. From the old grease spots on the menu to the decomposing floor, I did not have the heart or stomach to eat here. Not willing to disappoint my companion, I ordered an ice tea and feigned a stomach ache. The ice cream parlous offers soda fountain food and ice cream. there is an old grill with a grill man in attendance. There are barely high school girls waiting on and bussing the tables. The place opened in 1960 and I, personally do not think it's been cleaned since then. We left quickly, I will not return.

Their pizza is okay, but their pasta dishes are all good. Their Italian entrees are also good, but the portions are small for the price. Love their gorgonzola salad. I have brought many a friend here, when we didn't want to spend a lot for dinner, and they have all been happy and even requested return trips.

Been a satisfied customer here for years ! Magic bagels is a well established business with a good following. There are two locations one on Merrick road the other in a King Kullen shopping center at intersection of Peniinsula blvd and Rockaway avenue. Magic bagels is basically a small deli type store with tables..The bagels are hot, fresh daily - a real New York style bagel . CASH ONLY at these stores. They also offer sandwiches, lox , tuna or egg salad coffee etc. good place for quick breakfast bagel or lunch. Watch out for long lines at the store on Merrick road it gets crowded around lunchtime as there is a high school nearby. Coupons in local papers get you a discount and I believe they honor competitors coupons as well.

Why? The food is well prepared, consistent, always have new specials to make it interesting, the ingredients are always fresh and the staff makes sure you are well fed. It's always a treat whenever you finest King Umberto's, you feel like royalty because the service is friendly, warm which makes you feel you are dining with family. Old world charm meets new world nuances, oh so delish! The restaurant is divided for the casual pizza side and the fine dining side so you make the choice. If you choose the fine dining side, remember to make your reservations because it does get busy! If you desire old world food made like nana, yes you will find it here and if you want fancy smancy Manhattan-esque flair with excitement, yes this place will rock your culinary expectations. Most of all, you feel satisfied feeling like you really had a great meal. Happy Eating and I'll see you around the table from time to time. Capeche?

From the moment we walked in we were impressed. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff cordial, and the menu offered a great selection. We found this through Trip Advisor so you can believe it is really good. Our recommendations are: Mescaline w Gorgonzola and Walnuts, Fried Calamari, Linguini DeMare, Veal Piccata, and Sole. They have a Pizza oven which we would have loved to try - their selections were great. Best experience in Jamaica and Howard Beach NYC.
