The Mikuni in Roseville used to be our favorite sushi restaurant in Roseville. Now it has been edged out by Blue Nami, with its half-price sushi roll menu. But we still like Mikuni. It has a very diverse menu with many creative offerings. Our favorite Mikuni is still the flagship Mikuni in Fair Oaks, with more of a neighborhood ambience. Their torched sushi rolls are the bomb, especially the Marilyn Monroll. But I would avoid any rolls that include creamed cheese - not a good fit with seafood.

This is a review on Happy Hour at Hawks. We come here for HH to enjoy the small plates and wines. Fresh Pea, Burchetta with Ricotta Cheese, Tempura Asparagus; Caesar Salad and sharing the burger & fries all made for a very enjoyable dinner at Hawks during Happy Hour on a recent visit. Wines by the glass at $ 6 are reasonable but there is limited selection during HH. I would go for the red blend if you are into reds. There is an extensive wine list too if you want to try something else. With about 6-8 seats at the bar and 4-5 small tables- this is a small area - so you will need to come early if you want to sit. Overall experience and service was excellent. IWish there were more restaurants of this quality in the Roseville area!
Dinner Review. Hawks is a nice dinning establishment in Granite Bay with high quality service and attention to detail. Recently celebrated my wife's B-day here. We tried the Hamachi appetizer, Caesar Salad, Slow roasted short ribs, and Halibut. Nice citrus sauce worked well with the Hamachi - although the portion was too small to share. Caesar salad was great, fresh with a touch of anchovy in the creamy cheese dressing- very fresh salad. The Halibut was well prepared - but a small portion for the price. The short rib was a large portion pulled form the bone and pressed together in a generation serving. The flavor was rich - but a little too oily for my taste. Very nice, pleasant dinner experience with serval good wines available by the glass. I wish there were more fish and pasta selections, and a good duck dish on the menu would bring me back .

The Chef's Table Rocklin ~ Local ingredients, carefully handled, lovingly prepared and joyfully served to you for your culinary enjoyment. We love where we live, we love where our restaurant sits, and we love to entertain. If you've been in before we hope to see you again. If you have never been, we can't wait to meet you!
My wife and I were visiting the area and decided to go here. Half of the place is for drinks only and the other part serves bar food, which is quite good.
We shared an order of pesto fries, which were EXCELLENT, then my wife ordered their salmon tacos and I selected the green Chile pork tacos. Both were very good. I had a wheat beer and my wife had a nice chardonnay. They were perfect. Our waiter was very attentive and they got our food to us quickly. What can I say except the next time we are in the area we will definitely go back.

My fiance and I have a long standing date with this place. About every other week, we go for Sunday brunch. I count the minutes until the next time.
Their breakfasts and especially the Eggs Benedict are fantastic. We sit out amongst the trees, bushes, plants and flowers of the nursery and unwind with a delicious meal. The setting is amazing and beautiful, food is great with homemade breads. You can't beat this setting anywhere, it's very unique.
The eggs, specialties, potatoes, homemade chips and huge pancakes are all excellent also, but ahhhhhhhh the Benedict,
For lunch the salads and specialty stuff are really good, but I will say the sandwiches are just OK, pulled pork being the best but the most popular tri-tip is a little underwhelming.
Service is right on with a very pleasant wait staff.

We came here because my baby was craving Turkish food. I went in there with an open mind, knowing most places tend to follow their customers' tastes and develope flavors according to the popular culture. I was pleasantly surprised to find authentic Turkish flavors of a quality I've only experienced at some of the best Turkish restaurants in Istanbul, Bursa and Izmir. The service was accommodating and welcoming. The food had just the right amount of spice without the burn. I only wish it was closer to home. If you want to try something new, authentic, and full of flavor don't hesitate, you won't regret it. Compliments to the chef❤.

A large variety of nice plants and a Koi pond If you plan ahead you can have lunch in the cafe, you are advised to make reservations. the place is in demand. My last visit I was there to photo to Koi. Looking around I did see a large variety of plant specimens tastefully arranged. I've eaten in the cafe previously, but not on this visit.

This is a very good place for breakfast food. If you like eggs, you can have them prepared in various ways. The pancakes looked delicious too. We had perfectly brewed ice tea with lemon and a fresh mint leaf. We also tried a BLT and a vegetarian sandwich. Both were tasty. Service was fast and efficient. The restroom was well supplied, but had a musty smell.

The Fat’s Asia Bistros are individually handcrafted by our regional culinary legends, the Fat Family. At Fat’s Asia Bistro modern Asian cuisine meets timeless tradition.
The restaurant is quite beautiful but the food is just so so. Our first experience was the same . Lovely atmosphere below average food. Dry cold chow mein noodles. Overly sauced and sweetened Honey Walnut Chicken. Cold plates and Inexperienced server. Had to asked another server for water and soy sauce as ours vanished for several minutes just after we were served. We have given this restaurant two tries and won't be back again.

We went for my nephew's birthday. Nice atmosphere and attentive wait staff. The food was lack luster and only one vegetarian option, a veggie burger. Expensive for what you get.

Via Roma is a gem, a San Francisco-worthy Italian place in a modest suburban setting. We've been regular patrons there for years and we highly recommend it. Much more than a pizza place, Via Roma also presents hearty and sophisticated Italian dishes like seafood risotto and (OMG) gnocchi in a sauce of prosciutto, garlic and herbs. The owner and staff make you feel like family. Excellent wine list, too. Don't hesitate, go -- maybe we'll see you there.
