We are open seven days a week from 4:30 pm to close. Good company is fundamental...With friends everything tastes better, is more enjoyable and better absorbed. It enriches your blood and spirit.
Had a cheese board with bread before dinner that was delicious. 3 cheeses some bread and husk cherries. My husband had the beef tenderloin medallions. they were melt in your mouth good. The menu is very limited but they're all delicious. portions aren't huge so order an appetizer or small bite if you r a big eater. I had the haddock and it was wonderful. This is a very small restaurant so you need reservations or go early like we did and have Linner

This is just a jewel of a bakery-slash-cafe! A fabulous menu of amazing variety. Great food offerings, from soups to sandwiches galore...to sweets and very specially-crafted hot drinks! Perfect for our recent frigid winter visit to Rockland.
Lots of charm in this cute little eatery, great service from very hard-working staff, as they do get very busy and this is a go-to for locals and visitors alike! The number of tables and their turnover is fairly good, so you will most likely be able to get one. Better yet, grab one when you see it and have someone in your party order for you!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time and food here, and then wandered to the back of the cafe into the adjoining book store. Perfect! A lovely spot to visit that I highly recommend.

Dorman's has been around since before I was born (and I'm getting OLD). Can't teach this dog new tricks. I ONLY order grape nut ice cream on a plain cone, and it's DELICIOUS. Quantities are heaping, even a small cone has 2 huge scoops and the price is more than fair. I'll be back every year I come to Tenants Harbor. Thanks, Dorman family.

Specialize in Home Made Donuts
A good variety of excellent fresh daily donuts. The setting is quaint, the servers at the counter are friendly, clean and helpful. Delicious, an enjoyable "indulgence"!

Very small family run general store and restaurant serving the famous "best burger in the Midcoast area", chowder, crab melts, pizza and much more!
Owls Head is not really a general store, but instead is a small cafe featuring outstanding hamburgers. They are big and juicy. It is located next to the post office on the way to the lighthouse. Parking can be a challenge. Note: go early for lunch. Except on Fridays they close at 2 pm and shut down the grill before then. Arriving at 1:45 or so is too late!

We started with Calamari done right, topped with Parmesan...MoreOh my goodness...she poached your clams???? She will just have to get'er own next summah! (By the way, its "Flatlandah") Lol!! :) Thank you for the wonderful review - hope to see you again next season! Cheers, Steve & Luanne

Stopped this afternoon for a coffee. They 4 or 5 varieties of coffee including organic and non organic regular and decaf. The dark roast coffee was excellent. It is as piping hot. You add your own cream / milk and sweetener if you so desire. It was quick and courteous service. It opens at 8 am on the weekends but at 7 Monday - Friday. I didn't try their pastries at this location but apparently they are baked at their other location just a few blocks north on Main Steer. I did try there almond pastry at their other location and it was to die for and at a steal at just $2.50. The pastries where very large and delicious. You've got to go!!!

Now ALSO open for Dinner Wed - Sat 5-9pm
My experiences here was ok. The food was tasty and a solid breakfast. It wasn't as friendly as I would have expected but it might have just been an off day. Great location and nice place overall. I'll be back.

Went w a friend I had not seen for awhile which is why I did not send my food back. I did not want to ruin our lunch. The waitress was nice but really could not describe the selections. We each ordered a pasta dish. Mine was so dry and had less than a tablespoon of the veal described on the menu. It was also cold, I requested a little more sauce. My friend's dish was a pasta w kale. There was less kale in her dish than the veal in mine. The prices are not cheap. Hers was cool as well. By the time we finished what we were going to eat of the large helping of mostly pasta, they finally after two requests brought out the sauce.. which was hot... but we had finished eating by then. We used to enjoy the Samoset lunches... this was not a good experience.

After one bad experience in about 10 years I am happy to report that the high quality food and service of Primo's has returned. The new manager seems to have stepped in to his new job well. He is not only talking to customers to make sure they are happy but also steps in and helps out where needed - as any good manager should do. We dine here 3-4 times a month - either in the dining room or the bar area, with friend or family, or just to have a zenzero cosmo and some bar food. The creativity and high quality of the food is well appreciated.
