First licensed in 1858, the Caledonian Inn is a historic English style pub in Robe, South Australia. Over the past 157 years the Cally has become a local landmark and the place to come for food and a drink by the beach in summer or by our cosy hearth in winter.
Came here a couple of times on a recent trip to Robe. Had a lazy Sunday afternoon in their excellent beer garden. Fabulous selection of beers on tap as well as a good selection of local wines. On the Sunday we listened to some live music which added to a great afternoon here.
Menu looks lovely so next time we're here would love to try the food.
And staff very friendly and knowledgeable.

We have just moved location. Modern Australian cuisine with a focus on South Australian caught seafood. Casual fit out for a relaxed dining experience.
Very disappointing after the (mainly) positive TA reviews. We were told we would be seated outside but didn't realise that, although some outside tables are sheltered, most are not. The wind made for a very cold evening. We did get moved eventually to a more sheltered outside table (not sure why they didn't move us inside to the empty tables there).
Not helped by the long wait for food and when it came it just was not good. Rather than a crisp batter on my fish and chips , the offering was soggy and of course cooled down very quickly on the outdoor Terrace. Would never go back.

The Union is one of the nicest little cafes in Robe with super nice staff and good, well-priced food. They have awesome free wifi which is absolutely great for when you're travelling. When I'm in Robe I come most mornings for a coffee and some internet use. Thanks Guys!

Located in the heart of Robe, Vic Street is the perfect spot for a great dine in meal or take away. Friendly professional service, market fresh ingredients and prices that won't break the holiday budget.
First night we dined in and enjoyed two of the items on their specials menu. The chicken breast was fantastic, beautifully cooked as was the boar fish. The second night we had pizza takeaway, the 'from the sea' pizza, ok but the beer and bottle of wine were the highlight of that meal. Service was good, menu choice excellent and I would happily go there next time I'm in Robe.

The number of customers waiting to be served shows that this is a very popular spot. The meat pies were excellent as was the vanilla custard slice. The coffee was also good.

Experience the taste of the Southern Ocean with fresh gummy shark and snapper caught on our family fishing boat. Fresh, local seafood from our family to yours.

Nice selection of flavours and plenty of choices of where to sit amongst the varied interior decor. Expensive as far as ice creams go (so we thought) and no bending the rules if you want to have two flavours in a single scoop cup, unusual since the girl plainly used two scoops to fill my wife’s cup up? Still, on a hot summer day it was just the ticket.

The No.4 philosophy is 'sourced then shared'. In other words, we'll bring the best produce to you, prepared in our own unique way, for you to enjoy with the people you love. Whether it's over a bottle of wine, a beer or even a glass of humble lemonade, we believe that dining is as much about coming together and making memories, as it is about taste. That's the vibe of No.4 - we hope you'll love it as much as we do.
I had breakfast here before I drove back to Ballarat. I ordered the "Pancakes", although they were more like crepe. Nonetheless the were amazing, 3 light but filling ones with delcious sauce. Just wish they were a little warmer. And the cuppa was perfect.Dear Samantha - thanks for popping in. We appreciate your feedback! Next time let us know if you'd like the pancakes hotter as we do that very easily for you.

Had little choice that night for food so dropped in to the Robe Hotel ( I truly find hotel food very very disappointing ).
However we were very pleasantly surprised and delighted to have dined here. The spaghetti prawn carbonara was excellent as was the gummy shark fish and chips ( catch of the day ).
Service was very pleasant and ambience was ok. The small salad bar was a bonus with mixed green salad , potato salad , pasta salad.
