Good location:huge parking place in front (Carrefour supermarket). friendly service. Very trendy place (it's the place to be for the BW). Very noisy. Quality of the food is bad!! The only good thing that I ate were the French Frites. The price is: expensive brasserie.

Delightful surroundings where refined architecture and world flavours are united in perfect harmony. During the summer months, the restaurant opens its two terraces, which are equipped with comfortable teak furniture and giant parasols covered in ecru-coloured canvas.
We had diner in Genval Les Bains during a stay in Chateau du Lac. Staff is friendly. Most of them speak Dutch, which was convenient considering our limited French knowledge. Service is good, allthough it sometimes seems a bit chaotic. Tables are sufficiently far from eachother to have enough privacy. In summertime it could be interesting to reserve a window table to have a nice view of the lake. In our case it was dark already.
The food was very good, with a good price - quality balance.
Overall had a lovely evening, and would not hesitate to go back again.

Cadre cosy et intime, cuisine naturelle gastronomique de saisons faite maison et de préférence bio Sélection de vins en accord avec vos plats
A perfect family lunch for seven. Innovative and delicious menu, preceded by a superb gin & tonic or two (the local GemBlue gin recommended). Polite, courteous and multilingual service (English, French and Spanish). More enjoyable than several of the fêted Michelin-starred restaurants in Brussels.

Located at a busy cross-roads, this unassuming brasserie offers both quality and value for money. The sunny Terrace suffers from the road noise. Then things get better. The service, by a young staff, is both friendly AND professional. Bread is brought ,together with an interesting selection of crudités. The 3-course lunch, served on 6 days a week, offers amazing value for money. The week's menus can be seen in advance on the brasserie's website.
Here we have a chef who is not afraid to season his food. And the house wines, from Chile, are above average. You are likely to leave with a smile on your face.

I've always found the food in the Hotel de la gare to be of a good standard and the service excellent

YOUR FEET IN THE WATHER ... WELL? NEARLY! The 'Brasserie du Lac' settled along the benches of the Lake of Genval, which is a real must when you are visiting the Walloon part of Brabant, a magical area for the ones who love walking and enjoy by the same time fine culinary experiences. Its large bay-windows offer a splendid unique view on the Lake. Its heated wind-protected terraces opposite the Oyster Bar allow the strollers to sit pleasantly till late in the season... Even in winter, you could enjoy a clear blue sky because we provide plaids if needed ! Moreover, access to this absolute ideal charming place is quite easy and there is a parking of course. Whether you take the fast lunch formula at 15 € or a more extended meal, Chef Michel Grenier proposes a range of varied Brasserie dishes following the seasons. His 3 course menu at 35 € (choice between 3 starters, 2 main courses and 2 desserts) will surely please you as well. Outside the restaurant you can select your seafood (oysters and shellfish) shown on the Oyster Bar. Plates of seafood and any other dish are to take away as well if you wish. In the afternoon between 14.30 and 18.00, you can enjoy the tea-room service with its wonderful homemade desserts and ice-cream, pancakes and Brussels waffles. If you are a 'salty tooth' we can please you with a Tomato and shrimps, a Croque-Monsieur, prepared minced beef meat... In short, a wide choice that can totally satisfy you
We went to this lovely Brasserie on the Lake as a family of four.
The service was good. We had a table by window facing the beautiful lake.
Prices are Belgian standard and portions. We all enjoyed the Mussels very much with a bottle of their house Sauvignon white wine.
It's wheel chair friendly as all is on one floor.
I found it nice for families.
Very nice location. Good service and food. We will return.

We visited this restaurant by chance as the Hotel de la gare was closed unexpectedly. The interior might be a bit lacking in atmosphere but this was compensated for by an imaginative and varied menu. The portions were generous and all three of us were impressed by the quality of the food. Well worth a visit.

Alas as is way too often the case in these parts, this restaurant sacrifices service. TWO servers both times we have been - for a FULL restaurant! The first time we left after waiting nearly 45 minutes for someone to bring menu and take order. Crazy.
One server quite pleasant (the young one), older one will not give you a smile.
Interior's pleasantly decorateed.
Quite a wide menu choice.
Prices ok compared to others locally.
But absolutely nothing special on your plate. No decoration, such a shame. But it was ok in taste.
