The first choice for last minute party treats, the caffeine jolt that gets you going in the morning or the meeting place for friends to share news or gossip, the Donut Shack is a community favorite. The donuts (and donut holes) are super and the coffee always hot and fresh. However if you are looking for a diet friendly treat it may not be your first choice!

The ice cream is always fresh and the flavors change daily. There are always the most unique creations that always hit the spot or answer the sweet tooth craving. Next time you want an exceptional ice cream cake this is the best place to go. The staff are always friendly and you can taste as many samples as you want.

This is a local, bustling focaccia/pizza restaurant with great service. No reservations, and popular, so go 30 mins early; it has 10-12 tables max on the first floor of an old row house in Little Italy, which is an easy walk from the inner harbor.
My boyfriend and I shared rigatoni with red sauce - so flavorful! Each of us had a focaccia - one meatball and one garlic, mozzarella and arugula. Took home leftovers enough for a second meal - good cold. Save room for the cream puffs... worth it.
Our waitress was great!! She made us feel welcome; and even with the urgency of a small, busy place, she ensured we had a relaxed eating experience.

Love their ice cream!!! Always happy when we stop here. So many flavors to choose from, and a lot of unique ones as well. You're able to sample before you buy. The waffle cones are delicious. Love all the fresh ingredients. My favorite flavor is peanut butter Oreo!

What a wonderful meal and experience at the Royal Taj on a snowy, dreary day.
My friend Dave and I got to the Taj a little early on this snowy Tuesday and the owners allowed us in and we settled into a 'fireplace nook' for a wonderful meal and business discussion.
The buffet was fantastic and we both went back a few times. By the time we left, the place was packed and everyone had a smile on their faces.
The owner greeted us on our way out asking us to come back soon, we certainly will!!
The Royal Taj is a 'must visit' restaurant in Columbia, you must visit!!

We love their imaginative pizzas and combinations, including butternut squash with goat cheese and prosciutto. Great fresh salads to start and excellent wine choices, including a $5/glass (during lunch?) Be ready for a wait or better yet go very early- as soon as they open -or late, at the end of the night.

This place never disappoints. The service is always friendly, the food is always fresh and lots of flavor no matter if you get a sub, platter or pizza. The ice cream is awesome. We never hesitate to go back.

We stopped here for breakfast and decided to eat outside since the weather was cooler. My husband ordered eggs with potatoes and bacon. The potatoes were delicious. I ordered the BLT on rye and a cup of fruit. The BLT was one of the best I have had for a long, long time. Service was courteous and efficient.

Each visit to Fells Point in Baltimore leads to Pitango. The farm-fresh flavors vary throughout the year and the delightful experience never varies. The staff is always welcoming and generous with samples as you decide where your taste buds will travel today. My favorites include hazelnut, pistachio and any seasonal fruit flavor ... though the raspberry is #1 in my book! Servings are small for the price when compared to chain operations, yet zero comparison for quality, texture and flavor.
Gelato in the USA can't quite measure up to that you will discover in Italy; Pitango is as close as I've found so far. Seek this location out at any cost when in the Fells Point area!

This was my first visit to Arturo's. I use to be a regular here when it was Alberto's! I do like the improvements to the decor. It's a very relaxing, inviting ambience. One of the owners came to our table early on to introduce himself and let us know that Arturo's is an "offshoot" of their Annapolis restaurant Osteria. I like Osteria, but rarely go there, preferring Carpaccio's on West Street because I think Carpaccio's is a better value. I alway enjoy the meal at Osteria, but feel I over pay. I definitely get the same feeling, even more so, from Arturo's. It is located in a somewhat nasty strip of stores on Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. You slightly feel you have to look over your shoulder going in. The other stores in the strip use to include a laundromat and a bail bondsman place. The bail bondsman is no longer there and the laundry seems to be closing, but you get the idea. They will not be offering outdoor dining alongside of Crain Highway in warmer weather! LOL The service is fine, though not particularly helpful. We asked about the specials and basically were told to read the insert with no offer of guidance. The food was good, but bear in mind you will be paying $30+ for entrees. The dover sole was a jaw dropping $55. Come on now.... We are not in NYC or even a romantic location by the water in Annapolis. To be fair, the food is good, just extremely overpriced for the overall dining experience. I use to forgive this in Alberto's when the waiter's were in tuxedos and fawning over you at the table to be helpful, and were rated the #1 Italian restaurant in Baltimore Magazine, but there is just nothing exceptional here besides the prices.
