Sadly we ordered a Caesar Salad and crab cakes... My salad was about a cup of wilted lettuce with a blob of greasy dressing in the middle... And my friend's crab cakes were still frozen in the middle - guess they didn't nuke them long enough.. For the prices they charge you'd think there would be fresh food and some attention to detail!!

Was pointed towards this donut shop by friend of mine, and it was a great choice. Plenty of variety in their donut selection, even a couple with bacon bits on the top. No, not this time. :-) Whenever I visit a new place, I see how good their simple glazed donuts are and their cinnamon twists. These pretty tasty! My sons had a few other varieties that were gone in no time, so they also must have been pretty good.
I wonder if they could make the kinds of kolaches that you find in Texas??

We visited this restaurant based on its excellent reviews. Very disappointing. Calamari was barely lukewarm with breading falling off the seafood. Veal parm was a huge piece of tough veal with an overabundance of fried coating smothered in sauce with chewy dry cheese on top. Tagliatelle bolognese has good pasta with a bland tomato sauce full of large pieces of bulk sausage. ???? Not appealing at all. Shrimp scampi had a thick yellow creamy sauce unlike any we'd ever tried or would want to ever try again. Pizza crust was mediocre and tasted pre-made. Everyone's meal appeared pre-made and re-heated. Don't know if that's the case because we weren't in the kitchen but that's what it tasted like. Bread was very good. Service was very good. Ambience is strip mall basic. Storefront faces the parking lot and you enter facing a takeout counter and a glass case with soft drinks. Dining room tables are small and close together and chairs are not comfortable. This is the top rated restaurant in Modesto? Makes no sense. Will not return.

Of the 2 Starbucks here in town, this is the one I like better.
I'm not a coffee drinker, so I go there for more varied conversation with different people and the fact that it is 4x the size of the Starbucks in the CVS shopping center. They seem to have a few more food items as well. This one has more space for groups and a larger patio area as well.

We came here for a business lunch after a long block of meetings. There were lots of options for all types of tastes. Some folks had pasta, some salad and others sandwiches. All of our group really enjoyed the food.
The service was good and our drinks were kept full. The interior decorations were also very well done. Next time I'll have to bring my wife here for a nice dinner.

It's attached to Mountain Mike's and many customers go there for dessert. I love the many flavors and new additions which it has from time to time. When you get an ice cream craving, you can satisfy it here.

I don't like spicy myself , so I am careful what I order here, as it has been very spicy many times. If you are like me, make sure they don't use any of the spicy chiles, moles or sauces..
Basic Mexican faire, but they have a loyal following as well so someone must be giving them better reviews than I do.

On Mondays when most restaurants are closed this little gem of a restaurant is open. The waiters are to your table quickly with chips and menus. Not long after they are back to take your order pronto. Good service, good food too. Have yet to ever get a bad m
eal.

I wish happy hour had better drink specials; just Miller Lite, ew! They did have a nice selection of apps for $3, the happy skins were decent, needed more flavor, but the cheese and bacon helped. The Texas Walking sticks weren't that good: it tasted like a generic breadcrumb mixture. If those green beans had a beer batter, I would have been in heaven. Bartenders were nice and it's a cool place to hang out for a bit.
