At the Metzgerwirt in Uderns, it is far from ‘all sausage’, nonetheless you shouldn’t depart without have tasted that, too. It is homemade, and it is scrumptious.
Coming to Hochzillertal 12 years and eating in this restaurant for six consecutive years, I did see it change, from exclusive to almost familiar, but keeping the high standards for food. Last time the chef came several times to the tables, what we appreciate, and the hostess, his wife I'm sure, is a grand lady. Excellent food and excellent service. The first is not that common in Zillertal...

Nester's is a quality proofed restaurant and as "Tiroler Wirtshaus"certified. "Tiroler Wirtshaus" stands for lovingly, elaborately cooking with fresh, regional products, cosy atmosphere and originality of dishes.
Since Gerlos is a difficult place to diner by lack of restaurants, most of them are only open for hotel guests, based on the Tripadvisor reviews we took a taxi to Stumm. The quality of the food is -no doubt- good. The menu offers a limited however sufficient choice of mainly authentic Austrian food. As the chef explained us, the more adventurous cocking of contemporary dishes temporary could not be realized due to the economic situation. The pleasure of cooking is nevertheless reflected on the fine plates. Service was pleasant and the staff attentive. Its a real pity that Zum Nester is a 25 minutes (and a € 60 costing) drive from the ski village Gerlos. Otherwise it certainly would have been the place to eat the whole week. Our next visit to Gerlos certainly will include a diner in Zum Nester.

The historic village inn in Stumm, home town of skiing legend Stephan Eberharter, is itself an enticing invitation that everyone hastens to accept: to savor awhile, to linger awhile.
We visited this place several times in the past during our ski trip to the Zillertal Arena region.
Sophisticated kitchen with local produce; best local Austrian wines, contemporary presentation, chic decoration, delicious and creative food.
If you are in Stumm area, this is a must visit Restaurant (we did not stay in the hotel).

Experience pure enjoyment and authentic Tyrolean cosiness in our wood-panelled a-la-carte restaurant „Tiatta“ and its Cafe & Bistro “Kimm” with two wonderful sun terraces. Tasteful traditional dishes, light Mediterranean creations, oven-fresh pizzas, fresh salad variations and home-baked patisserie specialties, like cakes and ice creams, are served throughout the whole day in a warm and delightful atmosphere. Our restaurant opens 365 days a year from 11:30am – 9pm!

A la Carte Restaurant - All you can eat buffet Fondue - Grillen am Feuer
We ate twice at Almdiele twice while we were staying nearby. If it wasn't for TripAdvisor we would never have found the restaurant - or given it a second look even if we had stumbled upon it. From the outside it looks like a basic bar - and the bar is good fun too - but inside it is a surprisingly spacious and comfortable restaurant. We went for the 'all you can eat' BBQ buffet, which I think is on Sunday, Monday & Friday evening at €15 for adults and half for children. The buffet and BBQ selection was very good - lots of meats and salads. The spare ribs are particularly good. Some of our party ate from the a-la-carte menu and that was also good, as were the Deserts. There was live traditional music on Friday. The service was good and very friendly. There are a few English menus, but you may have to ask for them. Most of the staff spoke some English, and they all did their best to explain things to us. All in all, a very enjoyable experience and one of the highlights of our holiday!

Food was bad and definitely side dishes were taken from all inclusive part of restaurant. For every dish U get old potatoes - crocquets instead of salad from the menu, fried potatoes to turf & surf. Imagine steak and shrimps (quite good) with a side of fried old potatoes.

This is everyday aprés ski must :)
We enjoyed food, drinks, party, atmosphere. I have never seen such professional stuff, even there is 200 people, you get your food and drinks right away with no stress and hustle. Enjoy this place, I fully recomend to visit.
