TerraSole Ristorante offers authentic innovative Italian cuisine just off of historic Main Street in Ridgefield. Our flavorful hand-picked produce from local Connecticut farms are paired with fresh meat, fish, and foul from artesian producers. All of our dishes are also available for take-out. Please check our site for daily specials and upcoming events. We are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner from 11:30am to close. We have a 70 seat patio open during warm months.
Walk in to a warm greeting, sun lit room. Fabulous lunch, perfect for special occasion but reasonable enough for treating yourself. We shared the optional dessert - $5 with the prix fix lunch- which I still savor. We always share - mushroom soup, salad, special lasagne. Looking forward to our next visit.

Visited recently for dinner. As the place filled (around 7pm) the noise level approached and exceeded distracting levels. I found the French bread provided with the meal to be rubbery and served cold. The onion soup, a standard, had a layer of cheese with the consistency of rubber. My entree, cassoulet, another bistro standard, had pieces of very fatty pork, no croutons nor bread crumbs, and was apparently reheated in a microwave, since one piece of "meat" was blazingly hot while the remainder of the dish was of normal temperature. The dessert, a strawberry crepe, had the toughest crepe covering I've yet encountered. The wife was very happy with her salmon burger and my daughter's pate was said to be good, so menu choices may be critical here. Certainly not the best food in Ridgefield, but it looks charming inside and seems to attract a large crowd. This was my second or third visit, with the others going better, but I doubt it is a good value.

Dining in Bernard’s cozy dining room was a delightful treat. From the friendly greeting to the delivery of the check, we received impeccable service. We asked to share an appetizer and a salad before our individual entrees were served. Although we shared one serving, each of us received creatively prepared plates. Although we did not order dessert, there was a special surprise in honor of my birthday.
I highly recommend Bernard’s!

Great food, generous drinks, and a lively pub atmosphere you'll feel right at home in.
I’m giving the Little Pub a bad rating only because of one thing.
They run out of their advertised weekend specials all the time. We went specifically because I get emails from them advertising their specials.
We went on a Saturday night and they were sold out at 7:30 pm. What’s up with that?
This happens constantly, and the owner doesn’t seem to care.
We will now be going to The Hideaway in Ridgefield. Bye bye Little Pub!

Have been to the Hideaway many times...happy hour, lunch, dinner and most recently Sunday Brunch. No matter what the occasion the Hideaway never disappoints! At my last Sunday Brunch, the options were so enticing I couldn't decide between the smashed onion burger and the skillet corned beef hash. So, like any food lover would do, I got both and had the hash to go. Both were delicious and have never had a better burger than the smashed onion burger! Whether you just want some tastings with apps, an outstanding burger or sandwich, a lighter salad or full entree you can never go wrong. The owner is always coming up with mouth watering specials which are outstanding. I just wish it was closer to home, but it's still worth the drive because I can't find anything near me that offers the quality, value, and atmosphere the Hideaway Kitchen and Bar constantly delivers. Just go! You'll be happy you did.

I've been here a number of times for lunch. The burgers are hearty, taste good, but are all cooked one way - well. The fries are steak cut but obviously of the frozen variety. No booze and limited cold drinks - no coffee. A good choice, at reasonable cost, for a quick lunch. Don't go for the atmosphere!

This is a cozy little place, so from time to time you can find yourself waiting in line for a seat. This is not your typical "Mextex" you find at the mall or other fast food joints, although you will note from the menu many old-time favorites you would expect to find at a Mexican restaurant. Most are priced in the high teens and are worth it.
The only negative I found are their Margaritas, which tend to be too acidic. Try one and if you don't like it, send it back.
Their service is often too fast and your entree ends up being served within moments of your appetizer. They just don't listen, so I don't order my main dish until I am finished with my appetizer. Another related problem is the food is often served cold, meaning your entrée was most likely prepared at the same time as your appetizer. Since the restaurant is small they are looking for as many "turns" as possible, but I simply refuse to eat cold food or be rushed.

Disclaimer: I like barbecue, but I am no means an aficionado. That being said, Hoo Doo was my best barbecue experience so far. First walking in, that smell...good vibes overall. Food very great! I liked how the food packed good flavor, but wasn't overwhelmingly filling or heavy. Best collard greens and pulled pork of my life so far. Good smoke flavor without being too overwhelming. Will definitely come back!

Great dinner! Veal Milanese, shared special of crab and shrimp over Avocado mousse. Always a homerun! Wonderful staff and an excellent Italian wine that they bring in themselves

Mostly a place for pizza and pasta, meals also include veal, chicken, and fish dishes prepared in traditional Italian ways and served with a salad or a side of pasta. Large menu thanks to the different Italian preparations (parmigiana, marsala, saltimbocca, etc). Food is good, not great. Prices are reasonable, service is friendly. Inexpensive dinners on weekdays.
