We visited this restaurant a few times before. The reason to revisit was the restyling of the restaurant. What a wonderful, stylish, contemporary ambiance! This definitely adds to the full experience. Our lunch was perfect: creative, exciting tastes and structures, well balanced, adequate portions, beautifully designed presentation. Service exceeded expectations: very friendly, professional, informative, well paced. From the moment you enter the reception area until you leave again, you are accompanied by great hosts. We would recommend La Source for special occasions where you want to feel very pampered. Perfect! In summer there is a large Terrace overlooking a lovely garden. Luxury overnight stays possible in hotel La Butte aux Bois.

Looking for a place to dine first night of holiday came on this restaurant by chance, quiet when we arrived but large party arrived while we were there and within minutes all the furniture on the verandah was rearranged to accomodate them.Staff were friendly and helpful..
We ordered grilled Perch which came with Argentinian spiced rice(absolutely delicious)and a huge sharing bowl of salad.Cost was about 28 euros each including drinks, didn't have a starter and couldn't possibly have eaten a dessert.Went in not having eaten all day and came out full and very happy.Would recommend.

Everytime I am at Belgium of course I will to the best efforts to come to Lido. Try the salmon filet and enjoy the nice atmosphere, cool decoration and of course the hospitality! Cheers!

I have stopped in this restaurant as I was just arriving in the area and he hotel owner where I was sleeping suggested me to try this place.
Berger is good, fries are also nice, the salad is nothing special. I haven't tried the nachos or similar.

This restaurant is located in one of the most picturesque villages of Belgium and the restaurant itself fits in perfectly as it is located in an old building next to the village's castle. The staff is very friendly and the lady of the house takes good care of her clients. We all took the proposed menu and were very pleased with it, the food belongs to the better class. Don't bother with picking the wines, unless you're very sure of your own wine-knowledge, the restaurant has a sommelier who suggests wines that go perfectly with the dishes, he did a perfect job for us anyway (also try the champagne of the house, great choice if you feel like trying something else than the classics). In short, we had a great evening with great food in a great location and considering all the great food and wines we had for a very fair price. For us, this restaurant is definitely one we will come back to. Rather sooner than later.

My partner and I, with another couple, had dinner at the newly renovated and decorated La Strada in Massmechelen last night - the food and service were excellent and the updated restaurant is simply beautiful, The new décor is light, airy and very tastefully decorated in a very trendy style. Its clean and modern yet warm and comfortable; you do feel like you are eating at someplace special. We had the 4 course menu and each plate was excellent: good portion size, delicious in taste and beautiful to look at. The wine menu was good with some price friendly selections. The service was lovely and attentive. It was a very enjoyable evening.
We highly recommend La Strada: its an upmarket and elegant Italian restaurant at a reasonable price point - its costs a bit more than some other Italian restaurants in the area but its worth it. We look forward to returning.

Had a mixed grill. 1 piece of chicken. 1 small piece of Steak and something else (i forgot) 21,50 euro. I think that too expensive for 3 small pieces of meat. Chicken was dry. nothing really special overall. No real flavors. even a little Salt or pepper would have done a miracle. I can make this at home too. for 10% of the price.
Maybe it was my mistake, because if you want a steak just go to a steak house.
This was (one of) the most expensive dishes on the menu, other dishes were cheaper so maybe I took the wrong one.
Service was good, friendly. I think with a group it's a good place to go. but I don't think I will come back again. Simply because of the fact for this price I can get better food elsewhere.
And what other people said too. It can be very noisy when it's crowded.

We have eaten in Contrast many times, they now have an English menu which makes ordering for the visitors who do not speak the native tongue difficult, not any more.
The food is excellent and the atmosphere matches the food, it is not the cheapest restaurant but it is good and the staff are certainly more than helpful to you.
I would suggest you make a reservation to ensure you get a seat, the place is always busy and it has free parking on the grounds.
In the summer you can eat outside under a covered roof which is very nice you will not be disappointed.

We know this restaurant although it was several years ago. The owner are now Dutch people, but I have the impression that the cook stayed. The food is very good with some "old fashion" cuisine touch. The fish is delicious, the have also sweetbreads with foie gras, excellent.
The service us relatively slow, although you don't need to wait for hours. They try to do their best, when we had dinner it was only one waitress for the whole restaurant.

It took 25 minutes after having announced ourself inside to have someone take our order. The drinks then arrived another 20 minutes later. Another 20 minutes later we got the bill for the drinks, with the announcement "we are too busy to bring your cheese platter". No apology whatsoever.
Clearly this place gets enough business from passing tourist to not have to bother about professionalism. It is always a bad idea to understaff.
I can only recommend you to avoid this address, as this may give them more time to actually serve their tourist visitors while preventing you grom having to experience our disappointment.
