First - this hotel is very cool. Second but not least important - the staff is amazing. They are friendly, informative and helpful. They gave us great advice on food and assistance with winery tours. Marion is a star and I would hire her if I could. The woman gets stuff done.
Don't miss the delightful breakfast and jet fuel, French press coffee!!

We decided to splurge at this two Michelin Star restaurant while staying at this lovely chateau. We were not very hungry after over indulging in delicious French pastries and champagne while
sight seeing during the day, so we opted to order entrees instead of the tasting menu. We were seated at a large spacious corner table in a lovely elegant atmosphere including an oversized elaborate crystal chandelier, fine linens and China. We started the meal with vintage champagne and were also offered a selection of fine wines but as we are not big drinkers we opted just to stick with the champagne. For our meals we ordered the John Dory fish and the beef entree. We did not order any starters though the waiter brought small
bites to enjoy with our champagne that included foie gras, pumpkin, and another vegetable. They also brought an assortment of fresh bread and salted butter. Before the meal, they brought out two plates on warmers. Then they brought the filet mignon cooked to perfection (medium rare) and began to expertly thinly slice it in front of the table before placing it artfully among the different sauces and accompanying potatoes on the warmed plate. Then they presented the John Dory cooked just right - not too much not too little, with just the slight char of the grille, and they sliced it in two before presenting it with potatoes and butter sauce. They applied just a small amount of the sauce and I was unsure if I would like it as usually butter-based sauces overwhelm me. However this sauce was just right and absolutely delicious. It was amazing to me how the chef could create such a light and airy sauce made from butter. Additionally my fish was served with a jellied mushroom consommé unlike anything I have tried previously. You simply slice with your fork into the gel to reveal delicious fresh mushrooms in a tasty liquid broth. I usually do not enjoy mushrooms but this particular recipe and cooking method was exceptional and I enjoyed every bite. Finally the waiter graciously took our photo to commemorate the event. I felt like a queen during this during and I definitely ate like one. A must do when In Reims.

Overall a disappointment. The combination of flavors and food presentation were only average and not notable for a Michelin rank. The staff, although nice, were not attentive to small details such as keeping a water glass full.

Food was 5 star, without a doubt! We ordered the "Land & Sea" multi-course dinner. Everything was fantastic, really! The tastes, modern touches and quality were Michelin star level. The creative plating and inclusion of edible leaves are art-worthy (with a taste to match).
The gentleman who runs the dining room knows his stuff. Perfect customer service and in-depth knowledge of the menu. He's a star along with the food.
The dropped star is for the rest of the wait-staff. They bumbled and left things out. As soon as we ordered the multi-course menu, the waitress asked what we wanted for the final dessert course. This isn't unusual, but we hadn't even looked at that part of the menu. We were reviewing the wine list, and trying to make a bottle choice, even asking for someone who could give us advice choosing between Burgundies. She came back 3 times pushing for a dessert choice before we could even get wine ordered. I was ready to jump out of my chair (note, this is at the very beginning of the meal - we don't even have our aperitifs, so we're not slowing down the kitchen). Then, throughout the meal, things like an empty carafe of water, etc. Again, the head waiter/concierge/sommelier would immediately handle things as soon as he saw or was involved.
This is a compliment - for a meal of this caliber, the staff needs some training. Know that they weren't rude and nothing bad happened, but the meal started out in a nerve-racking way and the filling in the missing professional touches would elevate this FABULOUS restaurant to great levels.
Anna-S. La Table Amoureuse is an excellent value. A meal of this caliber would have been twice the price in Paris. Good wine list, with bottles of varying prices was appreciated. Their house aperitif was a nice champagne start.
This is a restaurant that we'll return to. If you're in Reims, it's a don't miss.

Close to the city centre, the train station and tram lines, this restaurant makes you forget where you are with its wine cellar structure. The chef proposes a "Gordon Ramsey" type menu: short and stuff he's really good at. Dishes are prettily presented, reminding me of Marc Meneau. We were quite happy with every single dish we ordered. A subtle balance of tastes, creatively mixed to effects that surprise. Come here for things you can't easily make in your own kitchen. The wine list is long, but I found most of the wines too young and overpriced.
Staff is fine. Neither stuffy nor pushy. "Madame" is cordial and energetic with a tinge of frankness; a precious asset for the restaurant. Her easy charm alone is worth coming back for.

A tiny belly deli with few tables with many goodies such as top charcuteries, farm cheese, smoked fish, some hot dishies and a selection of natural wines and champagnes by the bottle or by the glass. Continuous service from 12:00 am to 14:00 pm - Then cold plates of cheese and meat until the dinner service at 20:00 (until 23:00 thursday and friday) - Closed monday and sunday.
We visited this delicatessen on our way to London from Mallorca. Nothing was too much trouble and the couple helping us were so kind and experts on their products. We bought many cheeses and other deli foods. All were brilliantly vacuum packed so in perfect condition when we arrived in London. The bread was amazing too. Highly recommend.

We came here on our last night in Reims. Really enjoyed the food, especially the little pastries for starter. The tagine and couscous dishes were really hearty and delicious - very good value for such big portions. We also tried some Moroccan wine which was very nice. Would happily come back here and would recommend to anyone looking for something a bit different.

From the moment we walked in to this restaurant I was impressed with the setting and ambience. The food is very good and I cannot believe that this restaurant is not rated higher. The staff cannot do enough for you. We decided to choose assorted starters amongst ourselves with a view to sharing. I chose the the mixed plate of four starters and the waiter explained each one to me when it was served. A previous reviewer advised to try the red curry and I saw that a chicken based dish, Karry Kai had a choice of red, green or yellow curry. Wow the red curry is lovely. He asked did I want it medium and it was lovely and tasty. I also recommend the red curry. My wife had a glass of champagne with her meal and it was served in a very attractive glass. This is a great restaurant with great food and atmosphere.

A very friendly local restaurant with superb food just a short stroll away from the Novotel and Ibis hotels. Although the staff spoke no English, and my schoolgirl French is rusty to say the least, they were very patient with us and we got by between us. Highly recommend it. Prebooking is a must as we were unable to get a table on the first night. Tres bon! Merci!

This wine bar is unique and very special. The two French female owners are charming and clearly wanted us to have a good time. Their knowlege about the fantastic wines they stock is impressive and the selection of seasonal cheeses and meats are delicious. Not...MoreBonjour Alex-from-Stroud, Thanks a lot for your advise. We shall not change ! Lucile et Salomé
