Have a great lunch here for the first time( had been here for dinner many times) in Sept. I ordered the daily special of Fried Sea bass with Portuguese fries. My wife had the octopus stew with potato. Both dishes came out pipping hot & the seafood was most delicious. Price was reasonable & service was like your parents have you come over for Sunday dinner, warm & pleasant.

Chardonnay's is a casual yet elegant restaurant featuring eclectic new-American cuisine and a carefully chosen wine list that includes twenty wines by the glass and many more by the bottle. We do not take reservations for the bar or the bar area, sorry. Those seats are first come first serve.
I live in Wisconsin but travel to Seekonk to visit family. This last trip we visited Chardonnays three times because the food is simply amazing. It is one place where you are guaranteed fine tasting food every visit. This visit I tried this butternut soup...MoreHoly Cow SJ, you made my day. Thanks for the great review and I agree with the butternut soup. I hope to see you again on your next trip to Seekonk!!! Al Castiglioni

My family has been purchasing pastry from Scialo's since before I can remember and the quality has always been top notch. I celebrated my 31st birthday recently and was craving some bakery favorites from when I was young so I went to Scialo's and purchased a Zuppa Inglese cake plus cannolis, Russian tea cakes and pepper biscuits. The cake was simply amazing with extremely fresh whipped cream, hand frosted roses and writing that were applied upon pickup and really it was just beautiful. The best part was that I didn't even have to order it, I just purchased it out of the case. The cake was HUGE and very fairly priced compared to dry supermarket birthday cakes. The Russian tea cakes are the best I've EVER had, anywhere. Hands down the best flavor and texture, just sweet enough with real rum flavor. The cannolis still have the best tasting filling of any I've ever had and come in regular size and mini. They both have chocolate chips on them though, which I find less appealing than plain/powdered sugar. The best part is you can tell that these are not mass produced cannoli shells because they actually have flavor! The pepper biscuits I found to have a great crunch but not quite enough pepper for my taste. Scialo's offers everything you can imagine... bread, rolls, cookies, pies, cakes, brownies, dry and cream pastries, pizza strips, wandies, etc. etc. etc. There really is too much to list and everything I have had there has been at minimum good and typically better than anywhere else I can remember. Service is prompt and polite. I will continue to be a life long customer!

We've been coming here for the fish and chips, clam cakes and chowder and spicy fritters on Friday and Saturday's. The seafood is just as delicious as the ice cream. Uncle Ed is usually there and often comes out to say "hello" to customers. The fish and chips is crunchy on the outside, tender and flaky inside, homemade tartar sauce is creamy with just enough tartness to cut the rich seafood. Clamcakes, which I cannot get enough of, are stuffed with tender bits of chopped clam surrounded by dense, cakey dough-perfect. Of course I dip those in the tartar sauce too. I did not have the chowder, but my sister did and she loved it. She also had the Louisianna spicy fritters, which were sublime-just enough spice to tingle your tastebuds. Of course I have to have ice cream after eating dinner. For me, it's usually maple walnut or oreo. Both are jam-packed with chunks of cookie or rough chopped walnut halves in the creamiest, silkiest ice cream ever made. The space is small. If you have a big group go when there is good weather and you can sit at the picnic table outside, or bring a blanket and spread out on the lawn. You can also get your meal as take out. There are long lines-but that's to be expected from a small place with food this good.

Stopped in here while visiting Providence last week. The pastries are incredibly good. The latte's and cafe Americano were also delicious. We returned a second time to sample some additional menu items. If you like a French style bakery, this is a pretty good bet.

This is first ever restaurant I went to, when I arrived in RI. In RI, this is one of the places which offer indian food that can be considered close to authentic. The ambience is very warm, with various pcitures of women from indian villages...MoreHi Jegan, thank you for your review and feedback. We hope to see you again soon.

I have visited the ice cream barn a few times this summer. It is a great place to visit. The ice cream is great-there are many wonderful flavors. Also the waffle cones and bowls are fantastic. The serving sizes are tremendous. There are lovely places to sit and have your ice cream-very tranquil. Overall the Ice Cream Barn is a nice place to visit-the ice cream is great-the servers are friendly, the atmosphere is lovely and the prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend-nice for children.
