My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by our visit to The Donut House. We searched it out , randomly finding it, on our drive from Dallas to San Antonio. When we got there at 8:30, there were four servers and the manager waiting to greet us. All were friendly.
They had a great variety of doughnuts and fried pies as well as sausage rolls. Our fried pie, glazed donuts, chocolate buttermilk and cinnamon roll were very good to excellent.
The place was brand new looking with a small seating area and ample parking. It is about a mile off the highway, but I would definitely consider going back on another car trip.

We thought we would try a local restaurant for our evening meal. Lonestar was recommended. It's basically a bar that serves burgers. My family had the chicken fried steaks which we were told were huge. Not so much. They were the one-third pound hamburger patties breaded and fried. My grandson is an eleven year old who ate his meal AND dessert and was still hungry. For dessert we had the chocolate chip cookie skillet. It was served with two huge dips of vanilla ice cream. The appetizer and dessert were the best parts of the meal.

Junior's has been a staple in Red Oak for many years. Love their BBQ, home made potato salad, homemade banana pudding and they also have great baked potatoes and grilled chicken salads. Every time we have company in town they always want to go to Juniors. I only wish they were open on Saturday's. There are several chain bbq places moving into Red Oak and wish they would go away. They can not beat Juniors!

My family and I recently visited for breakfast. I have been to many Denny's in the past, but this location seemed to provide a better consistency in service and food timing than others. Our meals were done to perfection and the service from the start, through the meal and when paying was very professional. We are very impressed by our visit and will visit again when the opportunity presents.

Everything I've ordered here has been really good and fast. Good portions. Hoping they stop putting to go food in styrofoam containers soon.

Some of the best southern fried chicken in the country. Every restaurant you visit, you get the same great tasting fried chicken. And their sweet tea is tops.

Felt like we were sitting at my grandma's kitchen table.
Fluffy ham and cheese omelette with perfectly crisped hash browns and consistent coffee refills. My husband enjoyed the steak country breakfast, and the pancakes were yummy! The restaurant filled up on a Sunday morning, but it would be worth the wait for a home style meal.

This is a new location for the Red Oak store . The parking lot was clean as was most of the restaurant. Could have swept under some of the tables for the pieces of napkins that customers had dropped. Our order was taken promptly and served quickly. The food was hot and appealing. Ordered the fish sandwich which we seldom do at a Whataburger. The fish was good. I had rather have a piece of lettuce than the shredded "stuff" that put on the fish sandwiches. A little more mayo would also have been good or perhaps some other type of dressing would be even more appropriate. The Junior Whataburger was also ordered and it was very good. The restaurant has a new type drink dispenser that dispenses I think 36 or 48 different drinks with each drink having its own dispenser button. Not one of the huge contraption that so many customers just stare at and can't seem to be abel to use. The staff was very friendly and as we left thank us for being there and inviting us to come back.

What a find!! The food is excellent and authentic as advertised. Went for breakfast and was so pleased. The Huevas Rancheros were well prepared. Service was the best. The staff really seemed to want to please and concerned. It may be a "hole in the wall" but the food is worth driving for.

Palios at Red Oak opened its doors for business in Mar 2016 with the same aim - providing gourmet pizzas using fresh ingredients at great prices and family oriented atmosphere. We have spacious indoor seatings available with a semi private room that can be used for birthday parties, team huddles and church meetings. We even have outdoor patios that you can enjoy with your friends and family.
Went here after church one day with a big crowd. The staff was very sweet and helped us push a bunch of tables together. The pizza is awesome. Can be ordered how you like or they have some gourmet options. It is a thin crust pizza but loaded with flavor. if you eat a lot of pizza, don't be afraid of the big size as it can be less filling since it is thin crust. My 10 year old ate nearly a whole large (and the large is BIG). Price is very good and it is a neat place to gather with friends!
