Food was fine if you like waiting forever. It took so long to get our food my wife wondered if they went to Key West to get the eggs. Rather unfortunate as we watched at least a few couples leave without ever being waited on after being seated. The waitress even told another couple near us that it was gonna be awhile before they ordered so they knew which was nice but the restaurant was not even busy.

Innovative fresh local seafood. House Smoked Fish Dip is phenomenal, a definite "must try"!! Our Conch Chowder and our Key Lime Pie are also something you should not miss. We also have a great Square Grouper Fish Sandwich, 16 oz Grilled Ribeye (Certified Angus Beef!), Salads and lots of small plates to share...Flash Fried Conch with ponzu and wasabi. We are open on Mondays from the last week in December thru April! We close every September from the Sunday AFTER Labor Day and reopen on the Thursday BEFORE Columbus Day Weekend.
Relaxed environment with exceptional eye for detail. Fresh local seafood daily. Best place for a awesome lunch and/or dinner in all of The Keys. Definitely worth the drive from anywhere.

There is one on Sumberland Key also, but we couldn't find it.
Stopped in on our way to Bahia Honda for some lunch to go. Got two Cuban mix sandwiches, a chicken empanada and a beef empanada, and a guava and cheese pastry. Oh. My. Everything was just divine. And the prices cannot be beat! Stop in here if you love delicious food and friendly service!

We had just celebrated our one year anniversary when Hurricane Irma swept through and destroyed my Florida Keys based ice cream business. We are looking to rebuild and reopen as soon as we can. Got to keep the Keys alive! Any donations to our GoFundMe page are much appreciated and will be used to rebuild this local favorite Help spread the word! https://www.gofundme.com/4fxo7lc
We randomly stopped on our way to Key West and OMG what a surprise!!! It is authentic homemade ice cream infused with flavor not sugar like most ice creams. Authentic flavors with a local twist. Also incredible home made waffle cones with a cinnamon hint.
Highly highly recommended!!! Must stop!

This restaurant is conveniently located right on the Overseas Hwy with ample parking. The staff is friendly and efficient, that's the vibe. There is a nice, medium sized bar with good TV placements. There was a fair amount of take-out business going on each time we visited, probably because the food is so good. The menu is varied, American fare. The restaurant is busy but the staff maintain a nice flow. This was our 'go to' eatery for the 3 days we were out on Big Pine. I don't think you can go wrong at the Bucktooth Rooster. 4 out of 5 just because there's always room for improvement (although I don't have any specific recommendations)

We were going to Key West and we decided to stop at the No Name Pub and see if they were open after Hurricane Irma. Though there is a lot of damage in the area, it appeared that No Name Pub was quickly repaired of any damage. We ordered the pizza. Though it is not near as good as a Chicago pizza, it is surprisingly good. Check out the dollar bills stapled all over. I know that I have one up there somewhere, since I started coming down to Big Pine Key to dive in about 1990. The service was good and the price was reasonable. We opted to sit inside. One thing that we did not see or find in the area, as we were driving to the pub, were any key deer.

HUMBLE BEGINNINGS FOR THE LARGEST TIKI BAR IN THE FLORIDA KEYS Boondocks opened their doors over 25 years ago as a small ice cream shop. The current kitchen was the entire building. Quickly realizing Ramrod Key was in need of more than just ice cream the original owners expanded the menu to include sandwiches, and later added beer and wine to the mix. It wasn't until 2001 that the real transformation began to take place. Lanny was first to arrive in the Florida Keys and scope out Boondocks. Seeing past the overgrown trees and broken tables he immediately called this father, Larry and long time friend and colleague, John to hop the next flight down and check out their new home. With Lanny's vision, John's restaurant expertise and Larry's backbreaking work ethic, Boondocks Grille and Draft House and Miniature Golf has become one of the most popular destinations on the overseas highway.
We were down in the Keys for Thanksgiving and we weren't quite sure where to eat Thanksgiving dinner at. Some recommended this place. It was fantastic!!! They had just about anything you could possibly think of for the Thanksgiving buffet. Being away from home and family for the holiday wasn't so bad after all!!

Full bar and tapas style menu offered at this wonderful new lounge that is located above the Square Grouper Bar and Grill. Offering fresh shucked oysters, peel and eat shrimp by the pound and half pound at the raw bar. Cheese and Chocolate Fondues as well as an array of sliders and salads are on the menu. Check out the menu on this site or on our website. Live Music!!
We stopped in after having dinner downstairs at the Square Grouper. The place was bustling but we got a hightop table and sat down to listen to the music and have a cocktail. The acoustics for the music are very poor -- we were unable to really hear the singer, and overly loud and in other areas

We stopped for lunch and enjoyed a very good Cuban sandwich. The cinnamon rolls were great as dessert. They opened extra days to support cleanup crews after hurricane Irma. We will eat here again.

Great Tiki Bar, but not much more. Typical island bar food, but prices are OK. Lots of fun if it is your deal. If you have a little class, there are better choices. Put it this way, most of the local drunks love this place. But remember, in the Keys a drunk is a functioning drunk! lol Entertaining, once.
