Today Muslims form the majority of the population of nearly 27,092 in 2007, with Christians making up a significant minority.

I have lived in Ramallah for several years. This place is my favorite. The food is consistently good, and the garden is beautiful. They have the best burgers and chicken fingers in town. Unfortunately for us, this place is quite popular and can get very smoky. We usually go for early lunch on a weekday (Sun-Thurs are weekdays here, as most people have Fridays and Saturdays off.)

We used the Lonely Planet to locate this restaurant in Ramallah. The food was very tasty and the service excellent. We sat out on the Terrace and it was delightful as the weather was excellent. There were clean toilets and the prices were quite reasonable....MoreThank you for your visit and for the lovely review, I'm glad that you enjoyed the atmosphere, we look forward to see you soon. I have been a frequent customer of Jasmine Cafe. I was disappointed to learn that the restaurant was under new management; because, the new manager does not attend to details. The windows were dirty. On a sunny warm day, the windows remained closed. I ordered the chicken salad. As I was finishing my salad -- I noticed an inch of dressing in the bottom of the salad bowl. A salad floating in dressing is disgusting. I had to use the restroom. The toilet seat was broken, toilet paper was all over the floor, and used paper towels (for drying my hands) were also on the floor. The new management is enjoying the reputation of the previous manager.

My favorite coffee shop in Ramallah. Excellent food, especially their salads (love them). A great spot for meeting friends and very chill vibe. I prefer it outside because it can get a little smokey inside in the winter. They do have a non smoking section, but it isn't far enough from the smoking section. However, it is the only coffee shop I know that has a non smoking section. Excellent coffee drinks including soy and almond milk for vegans. It is a definitely a hang out spot, and so happy they don't serve shisha (Hooka)...as that tends to make the coffee shops too smokey. BTW, they have the best internet connection in Ramallah. If I have to upload major files (gigs), this is where I go. Really friendly staff, you will be considered a regular just after a few visits.

This is apparently the hippest joint in Ramallah. Here, you can mingle with upper class Palestinian locals , foreign NGO employees, diplomats, Palestinian expats, and PA officials. The decor is great and the food is good but the place has an arrogant feel to it that is unusual for this city.
If you go here at night, be prepared for the overwhelming smoke stench inside! The patrons chain smoke indoors and no one seems to be bothered by it. The PA needs to ban smoking in public places (never gonna happen.) Anyway, it's worth noting the drinks here are more expensive than they are in Tel Aviv! In fact, I paid more for a Martini at Orjwan than I did at the Avalon club in Hollywood! All in all, I'd still come back here if I find myself in Ramallah again; not because I love it, but because of the lack of other options.

Although the ambiance is nice, the food was extremely mediocre (think overcooked vegetables out of a can and overly salty dishes) and the service took a very long time... We got the feeling that the waiters were more keen on helping out the local businessmen who there instead of us. Very dissapointing, we wished we went to a nice local hummus place instrad when walking out!

**seasonal closure** Only open between Mid April - Mid October. Tucked away between the pines, you will find serenity in our not so little "treehouse". Our extensive menu has many delicious items to choose from (try our Black & Blue Burger, it's our most popular). Or have a cold beer at the bar, while you hang out with friends. Looking for quiet time? Bring a book and lay on one of our comfortable couches and get lost time.
Snowbar is one my fav places hands down. It is an oasis in the middle of busy Ramallah and THE place to unwind and relax. The beautiful scenery is unreal with comfy couches, vibrant pillows, nightly bonfires, dream catchers and bicycles in the trees, Snowbar = summer joy. Also, try any of the burgers, best in town.

A family owned and run Restaurant & Bar. Offering the best steaks in Ramallah. A home away from home atmosphere.
I had lunch together with friends at Azure. Many choices for soups. Salads appetizers and main dishes. Arabian. French. Italian. Mexican dishes are available. Food is very delicious. The place is not that well organised for a good atmosphere. Service is not within standards and needs to be improved. If you want to order salads to order the selection of Palestinian mazzeh . For 4 persons 80 nis . Dissent worth it . 5 main courses and this 80 nis selection of salad together with 4 lemon and mint and one water for 610 nis. . For good food this is one of the ones I recomend. .

Situated in the small village of Taybeh, approx 20 km from Jerusalem and/or Ramallah. A traditional Palestinian building of which the oldest parts date back approx. 1000 years. Beautiful view over the Jordan valley. We serve different kinds of salads and a traditional Palestinian hot meal of the day, Open Fridays and Saturdays. Other days by reservation only.
Sitting on the Terrace of this delightful restaurant you can gaze over to the Dead Sea and the Mountains of Jordan. That's a great start but then comes the food. Delicious local specialities, typical of the Palestinian kitchen include excellent humus, salads, taboon bread, and Chicken Musakhan - roasted chicken baked with onions, sumac, allspice, saffron, and fried pine nuts served over taboon bread. Freshly squeezed orange juice is delicious as, of course, is the beer from the local Taybeh brewery.

This is a very good restaurant in interesting location and nice interior. It feels like you are entering a cave or cavern with the stone walls and Cathedral like ceilings. The menu is mainly Mexican oriented but there are a nice selection of salads and some other main courses not Mexican. But you have choices of burrito, taco, etc that are for the Mexican taste. I ordered the Baja Burrito. It was split into two soft taco shells with plenty of chicken pieces, guacamole, sour cream and tangy taste. It came with a nice portion of rice with a few beans on top. Overall, this was a very nice large lunch portion and very filling. It was really very tasty and would make me want to try other Mexican items on the menu. I had a nice large lemonade to go with my meal as well.
