A great find. All the reviews were spot on. This was a great dinner at a reasonable price. We did all four courses, antipasti, pasta, meat, and dessert plus two bottles of wine. Nice setting for a relaxing evening with good food.

We visited Duomo for the lunch. We had the set lunch menu wine wine pairing. The were little extras before each course. The wines were perfectly matched. The service was great. The very highlight was the truffle ice-cream with truffles. This restaurant was recommended to us from the staff of Locanda don Serafino the night before.

A friendly welcome to a traditional trattoria, with ceiling fans and a menu written on a whiteboard. No English menus, but our basic Italian, combined with Google Translate, was enough to understand what was on offer. We had a selection of very tasty antipasti, penne alla Norma (tomato, aubergine, ricotta, basil), and a couple of pasta dishes with different types of fish sauce. All very fresh, and promptly served. Very good value for money, with main courses at EUR 6-10. The one drawback for us unacclimatised northern Europeans was the lack of air conditioning.

The food was exceptional. Definitely glad we went. They were also extremely accommodating. Our 2 year old wanted chips, which weren't on the menu, so the chef actually went and made her some very tasty crisps as a side to her meal. We loved the food.
I thought the service was extremely top class. However, the setting/service might have been a bit too formal for some tastes. The waiter was straight out of top-end Michelin star typed restaurant. Most sicilian restaurants were a lot more relaxed, and you felt that they catered a lot more towards families. It wasn't unfriendly per se to families, far from it, but we felt more on edge than normal when our toddler shouted or wanted to walk about.
Whilst the food was really fab it was also quite a long lunch. They brought us many tasting dishes and with our food that we ordered (starter, main etc) we were there for a couple of hours - which was a little past the boredom threshold of our daughter. So could have been quicker, but if you want a long relaxing lunch then its perfect!
It was very reasonably priced and it is clear to see why it is the top rated restaurant in Ragusa - really top quality food.

"The Fenice" restaurant offers an elegant and comfortable setting thanks to a skilled restoration work of an ancient 1800 manor farm. Throughout the wide glass walls you can look at the green garden park of Villa Carlotta Hotel. Wood and steel give a blend of warmth and modernity in a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere. From the restaurant we reach a wine cellar obtained by a natural cave that contains roughly 900 labels of national and international wines. Claudio Ruta's creative cooking and the impeccable service create an excellent union of inspiration and expertise, so that each meal meeting turn to an unforgettable moment, all under the watchful eye and leadership of Mauro Malandrino
This is a top restaurant with all the good and fine food you want.
Add to that their excellent wines and perfect service. Last but not least: with our group we ate for less than 60 euro/pp.
The best restaurant in Ragusa and aroud. Go for it.

The welcome and the service in this trattoria were very warm indeed. The 'outside' dining area was a passageway off the street with three tables - rather odd. The food was well prepared and of a good quality.

Tiny little place, where we had the chance to eat typical sicilian tasty cheese and meat. The lady that serve us was very hospital and kind, the type of person that you can easily find in sicily.

Braciere delle Scale is a charming place located in the historic centre of Ragusa. Through the streets of this beautiful baroque town in Sicily you could savour the best sandwiches filled with local products. A wide variety of meat (such as pork, donkey, buffalo, chicken, etc) combined with local cheese and first-rate condiments, wisely chosen, will let you discover the unforgettable flavours of Sicily.
We looked to this place based on TripAdvisor and we were delighted! My wife is a vegetarian who does not like mushrooms, so I get to watch her struggle to find food often. We were both happy with our selections. It was one of those meals when I was not sure if I could finish, but it was so good I had too!
The cook was very proud of his local ingredients, and he has every right too be proud. I only wish I had time to taste more off of the menu.
No worries if you eat too much, because you can go right out the front door and walk with the locals back and forth the Sicilian way.
Thank you for the wonderful dinner

Superb food from local produce. Both the seafood and meat dishes equally delighful. Luca is extremely helpful and knowledgable in his recommendations, for both food and the wide range of Sicilian wine available. Really good prices for the quality of the food. Honestly, this was the best food we ate in 2 weeks in Sicily.
