Perched on the bluffs overlooking the mighty Mississippi, Quincy's landmark architecture, dogwood-lined streets and rolling green parks tell of a long and tiered history. Its location on the border of Missouri made it an ideal station point for the Underground Railroad, once in the aid of Mormons and later helping African Americans flee the slave states. Now the city's history is evident in its historic districts, architecture, museums, parks and landmarks.

First time to the bakery and found it was something like I remembered from 10 years ago from another old style bakery. We made several purchases and got $30 worth of baked goods and wanted more. I personally loved their (what I call) Iced cinnamon rolls with nuts on top. I could eat 6 of them with coffee. Everything was delicious and when I can I will stop in again and get more baked items. Next time too I will try their angel food cakes.

Busy place, so plan to take your time for lunch. Quiche was good and filling, both the ham and cheese and Greek. Sandwiches were large and people in the group seemed pleased with them (Chicken Salad). The tomato soup seemed to be a little spicy.
The Passion Fruit tea - was bland, not tasty and wouldn't order again.
Nice decor would go again.

Classic yet casual steakhouse. Serving premium steaks, chops and fish.
I have been here once with a colleague for business begininnimg of August 2017. I travel about 35% of my time for business - mainly in Europe and Americas. I enjoy high quality dinner every time I have the opportunity. Here at BoodaLu - believe it or not- I had the best steak of my last 20 years. Tender perfectly cooked medium rare - a bit of salt and a fine crunchy crust ... all just in the perfect balance. I do not review restaurants usually but I believe this place deserves an exception. Great wine list - delicious cheesecake and a superb grappa (offered by the owner probably to give me an incentive to write a good review - but I would have written anyhow). The owner personally and genuinely came to chat with us, very friendly, smart and nice guy with a fine humor. The atmosphere is elegant but not snob, the service is professional, friendly and close to the customer just to right point.
In essence: an excellent center cut filet with a robust and well selected Malbec from Valle de Ugo (Mendoza/Argentina) ... with a final Italian Grappa “morbida” just to the point to close the meal. All in a smart friendly and enjoyable atmosphere. Go there. You won’t regret it.

Had breakfast here with friends from Chicago a couple of weeks ago. Excellent service after a short wait on a Sunday morning after church. We all ordered relatively simple breakfast meals, they were delivered hot and cooked properly to order. Good breakfast, nice atmosphere.

Decent (but not great) coffee. Same with the cakes, cupcakes, etc. A nice coffee house kind of ambiance, and run by nice folks.

This little BBQ place exceeded our expectations! The brisket and pulled pork were both wonderful! Coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad all wonderful! When we first walked in and saw that you go to the counter to place your order I thought oh no! What a pleasant surprise! Excellent food, friendly staff, and felt right at home! Can’t wait to go back!

Great smoked bbq brisket around. Their large platter has a taste of everything. Friday night buffet is $9 and during certain times has full cat fish that is really good ( I am not a cat fish lover but their breading is tasty. )Soup, salad, potatoes and a veg are usually served with it. They have a huge burger loaded with stuff that you can hardly eat. Everything comes with their classic wonderful corn bread.

Save room for the cinnamon rolls!! The service was wonderful. The restaurant was very busy but there was no wait to be seated. I'll go again when I'm back in the area.

While spending a father/son weekend in Quincy, IL, after talking with the locals decided on dinner at the Abbey. The place was packed on a Saturday night, ended up sitting outside on the patio. Limited selection of beers on tap (bummer), but a nice selection of appetizers. We chose the fried pickles (deep fried dill spears) very tasty! My son had the steak sandwich & I had the Chicken Marsida, both very good. Our server was very friendly, food delivered quickly and hot! The prices were reasonable. Recommended.
