Staggering beauty and heart-pumping thrills await in the resort town of Queenstown, which is also known for its Hobbits—much of the Lord of the Rings trilogy was filmed in the area. Outdoor enthusiasts flock to Queenstown for the kayaking, bungee jumping, jetboating, white-water rafting, hiking and skiing. More mild-mannered adventurers can take a quiet cruise through nearby Milford Sound, part of the Fjordland National Park World Heritage area, or sample South Island pinot noir from one of the region's 75 wineries.

Hidden away down a back alley in the center of Queenstown behind a rustic old wooden door, The Bunker offers discreet and intimate 'rustic' fine dining – specializing in red meats, game and local produce with a distinctly New Zealand flavour complimented by crackling log fires, intimate atmosphere, personal service and an impressive wine list. Our Cocktail Bar upstairs from the restaurant offers hand crafted classic and modern cocktails and an extensive wine and premium spirit list in a cosy lounge atmoshere which welcomes guests right through to the wee small hours. Wowing locals and visitors alike for over a decade with superb cuisine, friendly and knowledgeable service and a unique atmosphere, The Bunker is certainly a Queenstown experience not to be missed. PRIVATE DINING ROOM AVAILABLE FOR LARGE GROUPSDiscover The Bunker – Queenstown's best kept secret since 1997.
We would never had discovered the Bunker without the guidance of our tour guide that afternoon (Central Otago Wine Tour by Appellation Wine Tours. Steve was our excellent tour guide. He was formerly a Concierge for larger hotels. He now has his own independent Concierge business (Concierge Queenstown) so guide travelers who have lodging where there is no concierge (think smaller hotels, motels and Air BNB). His recommendations for two night's dinners were spot on! Thanks Steve!! Other than the odd physical lay-out of The Bunker, the meal was delightful. Food was top flight and service was both friendly and accommodating. Plus we had a great red wine that had been properly stored.

This is a 6-7 minute drive out of Queenstown in a residential area, but well worth it. The food is absolutely first rate, different from the usual tourist menu, served by one of the owners in afriendly, laid back but efficient manner while the other owner cooks - brilliantly! Very informal, unusual, relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere . Great wines, great food and excellent value for money. No views, but if you're concentrating on the food, wine and conversation who cares? Highly recommended.
What a find in Fernhill away from the hustle and bustle of Queenstown. Danny, the proprietor will look after you well. Do book. The food was very good and the selection of wine was interesting - ask Danny! Well worth visiting in a quiet location.

Established Indian Restaurant in Queenstown, offering authentic food, cater for vegetarian and Jain. Ideal location for groups, can hold up to 80 diners. Daily lunch specials.
We got takeaway from this restaurant several times whilst in Queenstown. The food was consistently excellent and appeared to made with good quality, fresh ingredients. The butter chicken and palak paneeer were some of the best Indian food I have had. At first $20 for a curry seemed very expensive However the curries actually come with rice. I think the restaurant does need to make this clearer. This is written in an odd place on the takeaway menu. If it weren’t for the women taking out order advising us that ‘the curries come with rice’ we would have ended up with four containers of wasted rice. By Queenstown standards this restaurant is not over-priced and with the excellent location and service you can’t go wrong.
If your in Queenstown and looking for Indian cusine, this is the place to go!

Yeah, salad initially sounds bland and boring, but this place has a crazy combination of amazing salads that you can get on a plate or in a wrap. A large plate is enough to split between two people and you can fit a little bit...MoreThank you so much for your fantastic review! We definitely aim to show people that salads need not be boring, so it's great to get your feedback, and we are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed our food ? thanks again!

Queenstown does offer many types of cuisine from all around the globe, but not much in regards to Latin American or Caribbean flare which is a blast on flavour, colours and creativity. With the sounds of Salsa, smells of the Caribbean, the textures of the amazons, the colours of Latin America and the flavours; is to create a humble but intense composition for locals and visitors to enjoy. Our name: "Caribe Latin Kitchen". Our influence: all Latin America. Our Game: to combine the best from local ingredients and take them to a place where they dance with our cooking.
Caribe is a great place to stop and pick up a burrito before walking to the beach. Good size portions and pretty taste products. They also have a small but really nice sitting area outside.

Pedro's House Of Lamb offers only one dish to Take away: a tender whole lamb shoulder slowly cooked over 4-5 hours. Garlic and rosemary bring out the delicious flavour and scalloped potatoes accompany the dish. In Queenstown we also do deliveries for $8 Extra (between the Fernhill, Frankton and Arthur's Point area)
Was told about pedro's in Queenstown by a friend, so thought we would try it over the weekend.
Well worth the money, two large meals that easily fed four people.
The roast lamb just fell off the bones and the seasoned scalloped potatoes were very tasty.
If you like roast lamb, this is the place.
They deliver in Queenstown too.

Taco Medic is here to attend your hunger emergencies. Our specialty tacos are made with the freshest seasonal produce, free range meats and seafoods, wrapped in an authentic daily pressed corn masa tortilla. Healthy and gluten free, come and be cured. You can find us in beautiful Queenstown, New Zealand. Visit our Taqueria on Searle Lane in the Queenstown city centre 11am till 10pm 7days, or our Taco Truck operating 7 days a week at the Queenstown Airport this Winter. Our hours there are 10am till 5pm.
Where we’re from, we take our tacos seriously....very seriously. Taco Medic, while having it’s own twist, filled our taco craving. The Fisherman and Bushman were among our favorites. All of them were delicious. There is no view. It’s on a street that looks more like an alley but the food makes up for all of that. (You could also enjoy your tacos lakeside.) The tacos are $7 each but are quiet large. A bargain by Queenstown standards. The service is good too. Very personable and prompt. Love that everything is gluten free.

Located on the water's edge in the heart of beautiful Queenstown, Little Blackwood tempts you with a delightful cocktail menu, local beers and wines, signature cheese & meat boards, and tapas style offerings. Grab a drink and enjoy the million dollar view from the heated outdoor deck, or relax inside by the roaring open fireplace, surrounded by modern handcrafted Blackwood furniture and contemporary fit-out. Open daily from 3pm until late, Little Blackwood the perfect place to warm up after a chilly winters day in Queenstown.
Little Blackwood is nothing but awesome! The drinks and food are superb. Visited it twice in two days. Had the Frosè, Espresso Martini, Manuka and London cocktails, as well as the best Pimms (with Ginger Ale) I’ve ever had
We ordered food too: mushroom pizza, dumplings and pork belly. Ermahgerd they were DELICIOUS! They don’t make them on site, rather they order the food from somewhere else in QT but who cares, it makes Little Blackwood the PERFECT place to go for drinks, food AND music! Speaking of music, the acoustic guitarist who played last night (NYE 2017) was awesome! My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed every single cover song he played and his rendition of them too.
Highly, HIGHLY recommend Little Blackwood to anyone who wants to visit a funky, cool and hip QT bar.

Bespoke Kitchen Winner of New Zealands best Cafe award. A carefully crafted menu that speaks to health and wellbeing with no compromise on flavour.
My husband and I ate here for breakfast one morning - we were staying at the Dairy Hotel across the street. It was clear that this place was popular among locals ask well as tourists. The place was well staffed, very efficiently run, and the food selection was incredible. From small pastries to full American-sized breakfasts, but with more interesting combinations of ingredients and great flavor. Full espresso service too. You could grab a Sandwich or artisan dessert to go too!
