We visited with our guide around 11 am for snacks and a drink. The guide ordered a plate of delicious local snacks. They looked as if they would be too sweet but it was not the case. The flavours were of rice, banana, coconut, sesame, etc. I drank watermelon juice, my wife had black coffee. The building was apparently made of wood, maybe teak, and very large. It was an enjoyable place to spend some time.

We ate lunch on a Terrace with sunshades, surrounded by beautiful Gardens. We had chosen a Chinese set lunch and began with spring rolls, which I do not particularly like, since they are largely batter. We continued with some delicious vegetable soup. My main was pork with pepper and my wife had chicken with sesame. It was an enjoyable lunch in a great location.

We are running coffee shop and restaurant together with plants and flower nursery. We are located on the way to Botanical garden. We also have coffee farm nearby our shop and you can enjoy coffee cheery picking during the harvest season.
We sat outside overlooking the pond and nicely landscaped side yard of this cafe, restaurant and plant nursery. Gyozas, Japanese Tempura Set and Chinese style pork ribs with mushrooms and garlic were very good and definitely enough food for two. A drink each, soda water...MoreThank you.

Nice little place for Indian food. Chapatis were incredible, as was the veggie curry set - specifically the cauliflower. Very filling and good value for money. An authentic meal served in the family home. Definitrly recommend whilst you're in Pwin Oo Lwin for a cheap and tasty meal!

We went for lunch and found the place deserted.
The cellar was pathetic with 70% of the bins empty. A separate liquor shop front the entrance but was locked which was surprising.
We ordered a salad and fish sticks and both proved to be unappetizing and unappealing.
Service staff looks disinterested and we had to constantly call for attention.
Seemed that it has past its glory days??

The city is known for having a lot of Nepalese people since the colonial era. The restaurant located in "Gorkha Road", named after the Gurkhas of Nepal, is just the right location for the restaurant.
The restaurant is served by English speaking family members and are very friendly and would answer all the questions you may have! Definitely worth a visit!

After several hours exploring the gorgeous Kandawgyi Botanical Gardens, I had lunch at San Francisco Restaurant. This restaurant specializes in Asian, particularly Chinese dishes. Like many restaurants in Myanmar, it is an open air building with ceiling fans. However, since it is in Pyin Oo Lwin, it was very comfortable.
I started out with soup—a clear delicious broth with bean leaf, which was quite good. I then had mushroom tempura which was also tasty. A nice crisp outside and flavorful mushroom strips inside. My entrée was a bean leaf salad, which I loved. It reminded me of the lahpet thoke (fermented tea leaf salad), a specialty of Myanmar, which I fell in love with. The dessert was a traditional fruit plate, this time all papaya. A cool and refreshing end to a nice meal.
My only quibble with the restaurant was the state of the tablecloths. The white tablecloth had food stains and could have used a washing. It really did not detract from the meal, but it was noticeable.
Despite the tablecloths, the food was very good. This is a great place to eat if you are a vegetarian. The vegetable dishes are fresh, well prepared and delicious.

Local bistro chain serving a range of hearty asian cuisine, local favourites and international favourites. Our food philosophy is fresh, clean, delicious, comfortable and affordable.
Small location that was near our hotel. Seemed to be a teenager hang-out the night we went. The food was inexpensive, but some of the best tasting Chinese food we've had in Myanmar. We're vegetarian, but they didn't even blink, and after a wait, made us some substantial and well cooked dishes. Nothing fancy here, but if you're a budget traveler, you'll love it!

Locally sourced coffee, fresh juices and home made yoghurts. We also serve cakes (Japanese cheesecake, blueberry chocolate cake) and other sweets.
I visited there many times. Last time, their coffee shop located in front of Khele monastery and there were as a small street vendor coffee shop as well. Their products such as coffee, snacks, milk shake and pudding were great at that time until right now. Their selling price very reasonable and all foods were clean and fresh as well.
