Pushkar (Hindi: पुष्कर) is a town in the Ajmer district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is situated about 10 km (6.2 mi) northwest of Ajmer and about 150 kilometres (93 mi) southwest of Jaipur. It is a pilgrimage site for Hindus and Sikhs. Pushkar has many temples. Most of the temples and ghats in Pushkar are from the 18th century and later, because many temples were destroyed during Muslim conquests in the area. Subsequently, the destroyed temples were rebuilt. The most famous among Pushkar temples is the red spired Brahma Temple built during the 14th century CE. . It is considered a sacred city by the Hindus particularly in Shaktism, and meat and eggs consumption are forbidden in the city. Pushkar is located on the shore of Pushkar Lake, which has many ghats where pilgrims bathe. Pushkar is also significant for its Gurdwaras for Guru Nanak and Guru Gobind Singh. One of the bathing ghats is called Gobind ghat built by the Marathas in the memory of Guru Gobind Singh.

We stayed in Pushkar for a week and once we discovered this restaurant we came back everyday. The food is fantastic so creative and delicious. This was one of our favourite restaurants in India. The muesli was incredible but the sandwiches and the juices and everything we tried.

The place is nice, which serves alot of israeli food and veggie dishes. The portions were too big to be eaten by just one person. The service is slow and you will find the cafes full almost all the time.

Great location over looking the lake. Onsite bakery and movie room (free of charge). Canadian chef designed menu. Nice tunes also :)We are upstairs, next door to Honey & Spice. Close to Laffa shop.
Everyone we met said we should visit this place on the rooftop of a tall house overlooking the lake at Pushkar. We loved it here - a great mixture of Indian and Spanish food with lovely pizzas cooked in a proper wood-fired oven. Delicious! The music lends an Ibiza vibe to the place and there’s no better place to sit back and relax with a beer and a bow of pasta watching the sun set over the lake around 5.3pm. The place next door, Honey and Spice, probably just beats Laura’s with the food (but only just, and they are both great really) but Laura’s has the views

Who would have thought of finding delicious Pizzas in the small town of Pushkar? I for one was pleasantly surprised. Thin crust crunchy pizza with a food variety of toppings and a beautiful bottle of infused chilli garlic oil to go with it. While I did enjoy the Pizza what I loved here the most were the beverages. Their signature Lemon Nana (lemon and mint mix with ice slush) and the Ginger Beer were so refreshing and tasty that I ended up filling my belly with it- no regrets! The entry is unassuming and missable. The ambiance is relaxed and there are little candles to make every meal here that much more romantic. Highly recommend a meal here when in Pushkar.
P.S- 2 beverages and a pizza costed us Rs 350 and they only accept cash

Welcome to the Laughing Buddha Cafe, a tiny cafe restaurant above the streets of lively Pushkar! We are a small and cozy place, consisting of three tables on a balcony with some additional Seating available inside. Please note that there is no toilet available for you, nor do we permit smoking... but this small restaurant has a VERY BIG HEART! No need to feel away from home: All food is home-made with Love for 'Little Buddhas Hearts', our school project run entirely with small profits made at the Laughing Buddha Cafe. Come and enjoy the home-baked bread, try the banana cake and french press coffee! The Laughing Buddha Cafe offers an Indian/International menu with healthy Vegan options, all freshly prepared for you upstairs, while you can relax and watch the world go by below...
Had a fantastic lunch here, food was fresh, delicious & safe. Vegetables are washed in bottled water so salads are safe, and they make their own wholemeal bread. Also the lactose intolerant are catered for with availability of soy milk (a rarity in India). The owner runs an after school youth education centre just outside Pushkar & 50% of the cafe profits go to running the centre. The cafe is very small but don't miss the opportunity to have a great meal here

We loved this restaurant so much that we couldn't eat anywhere else during our stay in Pushkar. You should try yak cheese momos and all momo on the menu. It takes a little time to have the food because it is freshly made but it is really worthy the waiting. The choice is really wide: breakfast food, indian, greek, italian, tibetan, israeli cuisine, salads. Quality is really good and the Terrace is cosy too.

A great place to relax and enjoy some of the best food in Rajasthan, with lovely views and a great variety of food to suit everybody's taste. The friendly owner Mango will help you with all your inquiries and needs for Pushkar
Indian food was great, delicious shahi paneer and homemade lassis! International food is also available, like pizza, pasta and more. We had some falafels and houmous really ok. Fried momos were not the best. They also have a very tasty Hello to the queen! But you will probably go there for the atmosphere and the very friendly and funny Mango, the owner. The rooftop is a nice and cozy place for a dinner. Good vibes in the Heart Rock!
