Top quality seafood, vegetarian, and barbeque in Punta Gorda. Relax at the only restaurant and bar around that is completely over the sea. Fresh meals are cooked to order with sustainably caught seafood; fish are often caught by Asha (the owner/head chef) himself. Our kitchen serves hearty dishes prepared with healthy ingredients. Listen to various styles of live music – including Creole and Garifuna drumming, Mayan marimba, and international Performances – all while enjoying the Caribbean sea breeze with a view of the Guatemala highlands from across the bay. Exceptional service and competitive prices. Business practices are very environmentally friendly. We cater to all needs; including large groups, food Delivery, and a variety of events. Please call ahead for large groups, to-go orders, directions, or our music schedule. Marine tours, sustainable-fishing classes, sunset-booze cruises, and cooking lessons are available.
We were told that this was the "best" restaurant in town, and it is quite good. (Leela's Bistro was our favorite though). He had seabass and I had barracuda. The Tiger FIsh FIngers were a great appetizer and the callaloo was wonderful. Great location... just keep walking and following the signs. Ignore the "check-marks" on the menu board telling you what is available, they don't seem to update it. The bathroom was a bit scary, and my friend told me that the Men's was worse. Nice deck though. We had a nice meal with nice appetizers and marginal Key Lime pie desert. If it weren't for the deck, I would have given Asha's a 3.

In the small town of Punta Gorda, Joycelyn has a simple restaurant overlooking the Caribbean. The comfortable outdoor Seating overlooking the ocean with the gentle breeze was wonderful. Joycelyn's stewed chicken with rice and beans was excellent. Tender, tasty and great seasoning. This place is as "local" and "home cooking" as you can get. Well worth the visit.

We were referred to Marian's Bayview by whom we thought would be a reliable source. We were all very hungry and It turned out to be one of those meals that you eat half the food offered with a lot of trepidation. We ordered two dishes to share family style between 4 people. They didn't have a menu but said we would be getting some kind of Belizian pork ribs as one dish and some kind of Belizian chicken stew as the other.
When the food came, we dished up to find that their version of pork ribs were nothing but chopped pieces of boiled pork liver in some mystery brown sauce. The chicken stew was nothing more than a few chicken backs and legs boiled in water with a small amount of onions and carrots. We all found ourselves dumping salt on our food to try to give it a little flavor. We ate less than half of what was offered even though it left us still hungry. I can assure you none of us will ever return even though the view over the water was very nice. If you find yourself there because you couldn't get out of it for some reason or another, I urge you to just order a coke or something. It probably won't be cold but at least you will spare yourself from a very expensive and very low quality meal! Oh, and by the way. The service was about as good as the food...

Right across from the sea and quite nice if you can sit outside. Had pizza and a plate of pasta/chicken, with non-alcoholic beverage. Had to laugh at the smurf plate. Very nice owner and yummy food. Order at counter and they bring to table. In the photo the pizza looks greasy, but it was good and did not look that way when it came to the table. Plentiful amounts to share the two meals between two of us and enough pizza left to request wrapping the leftovers in foil and had them for next days lunch at Nim Li Punit.

Family-owned and operated ensures that everything is clean and comfortable. Relaxed and inviting - excellent food without all the fuss of "fancy"!
Ate here three times while staying in Punta Gorda for a Mission trip. Aprill the owner is wonderful. Such a welcoming personality and you can tell she and her family put pride into their restaurant. Everything I tried was fresh and delicious, I even bought some brownies to go and they were amazing! If you are in PG, find this place.

Grace's was recommended by the other tenants of Coral House. My husband had the chicken chow mein and I had the chicken quesadilla. The chow mein was superb and I could only finish half the quesadilla, but it was also excellent. Please remember that everything is made fresh ... there is no pre-packaged convenience, so you might have to wait while your food is being prepared.

The Mangrove has been serving fine international cuisine in the Toledo District for over 20 years. It' a small local family run establishment owned and operated by Iconie; who is both your cook and a fine, friendly and fun host. The dining area is located on the second floor of our businesses building ( i.e. Casa Bonita Apartments ) with a unique and unrivaled south-eastern view of both the sea and our botanical Gardens. The Mangrove is a family and children friendly operation with a Seating capacity of between 24-30. We do not maintain a bar - but offer fresh local fruit juices, instead. For those who'd like to have a " drink " with dinner we encourage you to bring your own wine, beer or spirits. We also would appreciate it if you try to make a reservation, so we can do everything we can to make sure your evening's meal is both enjoyable & memorable. For larger groups, we offer a delicious buffet where your group get's to enjoy a little of all we offer with virtually no waiting.
My boyfriend Jim and I had dinner at Mangrove. The owners were fantastic people and made us feel comfortable. The food was great. I had the snapper and Jim had the snook fish. Everything seasoned to taste and fantastic. The town is cute and the people friendly and helpful. This restaurant is a must if you come to PG. I highly recommend it.

Despite the name, they have an excellent veggie burger. They also make unusual local drinks which are always worth a try. Go with some friends and enjoy the beautiful view, pool tables, and swinging chairs.

Lots of parking - Lots of tables - Lots of laughs, you're in Belize and you'll find the real Belize here. From the moment you sit down your blood pressure will drop a few points for sure. The pace here is Belize, no rush, where else do you have to go in such a hurry. Take your watch off, park your phone and talk to the locals. The knowledge they have is better than anything you'll find on your phone. Ask all the questions you want, the help will glad to point you in the right direction. From what to order to where to dive. Looking for things to do - ASK - some of the best tour agents come here to chill after being out all day. Soon you'll see the sun has set, the moon is rising and you're asking yourself "what just happened to my day." Drinks are good. Food is plenty. Keep in mind, you're in a population of 6000 and, chefs plan on what they normally serve.
