Yearning for the laidback feel of a rural fishing village with white sand beaches, combined with the luxuries and mild year-round weather of the Mexican Riviera? Punta Mita has all this plus championship golf, diving, sport fishing, surfing, sailing, sea kayaking, whale watching, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, Jeep tours, and rainforest excursions. Walk into town for beachfront restaurant dining and Pacific Ocean sunsets. Kids can safely swim at Playa El Anclote, where the rock jetties calm the shallow waters near restaurant row. Surf El Anclote’s long slow waves. Or seek out those special surfing spots along the coast, like near Punta Sayulita. Enjoy kayaking. Take the family sailing. Tee off overlooking the breezy blue waters of the Pacific Ocean at the Jack Nicklaus-designed Pacifico Course, rated among the best in Latin America. Pacifico is renowned for its optional 19th hole, the “Tail of the Whale,” a 199-yard par-three where you tee off over the Pacific Ocean onto a large island green. The Bahia, another Nicklaus-designed championship course, has six ocean holes, and is lined by beach sands and gated resort properties controlling course access. The Bahia Banderas (Bay of Banderas) and north towards Sayulita is great for fishing and diving volcanic tunnels, or just watching whales, dolphins, turtles, and ocean birds. Snorkel color-splashed shallow reefs. Spend a day on a ponga, a motorized open-bow fishing boat in search of mahi-mahi (dorado), pugnacious pargo (big cubera snapper), Pacific sailfish, fighting roosterfish, yellowfin tuna, and bonita. From Islas Marietas and El Morro to La Corbetena and El Banco, the diving opportunities are numerous.

Tuna Blanca with the style and essence of Cafe des Artistes, but with a Mexican menu and atmosphere, beach type, chic and romantic, that gets in to a fusion with the best products of the region, organic, cultivated by the hands of local producers and fresh seafood provided by the fisherman of the Anclote beach. There is no doubt, an enigmatic restaurant, an obligated visit in Punta Mita.
QUALIFIER: We went to Tuna Blanca as a work incentive reward, so this review does not include cost as a factor.
Our group of 20 was seated at 2 reserved tables promptly. After a bit of confusion regarding drinks, we settled in for an enjoyable night of food and fun. After a (few) rounds of drinks, appetizers arrived. We ordered the Tostada Mar de Mita and the Caesar Salad for 2. Both were excellent. The idea of mixing the Salad at the table was nice, although it seemed like it took a long time (that's okay, more time for drinks).
Our main courses were the Mezcal Shrimp (fire grilled at the table) and Birria Short Ribs. Again, excellent flavors, excellent presentation.
It is very seldom that we order dessert in restaurants. However, it's almost a requirement at Tuna Blanca. Served to the table aboard a surfboard, it is a work of art, along with being delicious. I recommend the Callebaut Chocolate Fondant; wine filled chocolate cake, pistachio ice cream, and caramel popcorn. The portions looks small, but the intense flavors mean it is just the right size.

Couldn’t wait to write this review because we loved our time at Margarita’s so much. The drinks are delicious (fresh grilled peppers for the spicy marg and fresh mango for the mango marg). The ambience is sort of like a tree house, but with fresh guacamole and delicious prawns and lobster. The couple who owns the place goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. Margarita’s at least feels a lot more authentic than some of the more touristy places in Punta Mita.

I had dinner with a group of 20 for a work event of my husband's. We were immediately greeted in the outdoor lobby overlooking the infinity pool, and drinks came out in less than 5 minutes (even with an already full restaurant). After we enjoyed our cocktails with a view, we were seated at our 2 tables and presented with pre-printed menus for our group for a 5 course meal. We had 3-4 choices per course, and the amount of food was overwhelming! Every course was more delicious than the last, and even though the restaurant was so full that it was bursting at the seams, we still received great service. I really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely return!

Not the best Mexican Restaurant in town. Si Senor, next door. Service was slow, but waiters very friendly. Grilled octopus was the best, but everything else was mediocre compared to other restaurants in town. Even though we were in Punta Mita at Spring Break, at the height of the tourist season, Rosa's was not full.

We went here for breakfast with the kids today. The service was great and I had a huevos rancheros type dish, my wife had the chilequiles, and the kids had pancakes. The pancakes and chilequiles were really good and I wouldn't get the huevos rancheros again. The coffee was amazing and the kids loved the chocolate milk.

We are located 5 minutes from Four Seasons and St Regis.. Taxi service from hotel is available. Our family shares our home and table seasonally with guests that dine in our quaint private courtyard al fresco or air conditioned in door space. Enjoy our Lounge Bar area for light snacks and glass of wine Our menu is created fresh daily serving culinary treasures of Sicily.
Lasagna, gnocchi, focaccia bread, octopus over a bed of arugula with a lemon dressing. All very, very good. The atmosphere is quaint. The staff are extremely friendly. We were greeted by Ricky Martin at the door. I never thought I would find quality California Cabernet on a vacation in Mexico (we come every other year), but here they had a solid lineup to choose from. The Caymus was so generously priced that I thought it was a mistake (I’m from PA, where they tax us for the air we breathe). My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our experience. I think they can expand their dessert menu a bit, if I had to offer any criticism at all. We will definitely be back in the future.

The jewel in the Crown, Carolina offers a seductive and bespoke fine dining restaurant experience. With her five diamonds and AAA rating Carolina showcases the very best of modern Mexican cuisine from Chef Jose Meza Arroyave. Using only the freshest of local ingredients Carolina offers a unique and magical culinary journey
A review of this spot is a difficult challenge without sounding like an advertisement. Our table was perfect set on the Terrace overlooking the sunset and the winding trails of the resort. Our waiter Alvaro is nothing short of a true professional waiter European style, mixed with an encyclopedic knowledge of history and a true love for people.
We had the beet salad which is prepared such that the beet becomes the star of the dish. Earthy, slightly sliced with a complex combinations of flavors. We also had the Hearts of Palm another Home run.
As for Main course we had the Red snapper Zarandeado that was perfect however the surprise of the evening was the Chefs creation utilizing Barnacles in the same Zarandeado style preparation then presented to the table with a large hot stone set upon a bed of sea salt that is used to handle the final sear by the guest. We were very impressed it was excellent and the sauce in this style is to die for.
Discovered a new to us Mexican wine from a Vinters that is over 450 years old and the only continuously operating facility in the county.
Overall excellent seems a poor word to describe last nights dining experience wish there were more stars to award.
