Pula is situated at the southern tip of the Istrian peninsula and is the area's largest city. Located beneath seven hills and with views of the Adriatic, Pula's unspoiled natural surroundings are magical. Known for its mild climate and tame, beautiful sea, Pula also has a long tradition of winemaking, fishing and shipbuilding. It is also home to many ancient Roman buildings, including the well-preserved, magnificent amphitheater.

We were the first time there and were not disapointed. Pizzas were good but nothing special. I eat pljukanci with vrganji, shrimps and kozice. I vas disapointed that I saw a shampinons here. It all wes full with cooking creame so the taste was average and sweet. The service and tnhe prices were great.

Easily our favorite restaurant in southern Istria - great food, outstanding service, excellent wine list at very good prices, and a splendid and attentive head waiter, Petar. He recommended wineries and restaurants in other places, all of which were lovely - as is the atmosphere and the quality in this restaurant. Meat dishes were excellent, as were the various fish offerings, and the chocolate dessert was genuinely divine. We liked it so much that we went there twice in four days and would gladly have returned if we hadn't had to leave the area. Fantastic.

We have visited Istria annually for the last 14 years and have tried more restaurants and konobas than you can shake a burek at :)
We always return here and are never disappointed
There are very few restaurants that consistently offer such high quality food, executed with a true passion that also go above and beyond the normal heavy style of Istrian cuisine
I urge you to go, this is truly a hidden gem
Dobor tek!

Attractively set,we chose this restaurant after Reading the reviews.Excellent service and nice starter. We asked the chef for Wiener Snitchzel which was not on the menu, although other veal dishes were. The meat was stringy. As we had chosen this off-menu,I didn't feel it fair to complain.Busy on a Tuesday night.

The place is close to the Arena and it is a typical croatian grill, when you can enjoy their local meat, such cevapcici or pljeskavica. Most of them served with fries and a special bread which actually seems a focaccia.
The dishes are hearty and the meat is good. The staff is kind and the bill is really cheap.
Not for aristocratic palates.

This restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of our holiday villa. It is very big with a huge outside Terrace overlooking the sportsgrounds. I wouldn't say it was cosy, rather more functional, but the pizzas a amazing. Light and fluffy dough, crispy and well topped. Pasta was ok, nothing special but good average. It was busy on a weekday evening and filled with locals. Always a good sign. Prices very reasonable and friendly and efficient service. Would definitely go back.

We are a small Istrian taverns with only 6 tables that serve traditional Istrian dishes. We are proud of our handmade pasta and homemade bread. Meat that is cooked on the grill are from the local areas. Wine and olive oil are from renowned Istrian producers. We hope you will find the time to visit us. PS: .If you are in a hurry we are not the ideal place to visit because some dishes need more time for preparation. RESERVATION REQUIRED

We had a reservation so nothing could go wrong. Place is indeed small, nicely decorated and outside Pula center on the way to the airport. Food is good, I had a nice pasta and o very good steak with truffles. My wife had good fish. Portions are not too big. We drank the red and white wine from the house and got something sparkling to start and tasty Rakya to complete. Owner was serving us and handled it friendly and professional. Was a good experience at the outskirts of Pula.

I went to have something not that heavy just a small lunch, and there were so many good options, bread, salads, wraps, dessert and smoothies. I tried one small salad and some falafels, maybe just missed something to give with falafel as I asked for hummus and they said was only for Sandwich. But both were really good!

We sat outside, nice location, close to the market with plenty of people watching opportunities
Istrian ham was average
Pasta with truffles good but small potion
Pasta with ox and cheese good but not enough cheese
Tuna steak excellent (large and tender but with a good grilled flavour)
Curried chicken good
Ribs excellent
Chocolate and orange cake very good
Cheesecake worst I've ever had (way too much gelatine and not enough lemon)
Side salad ordered but they forgot to bring it
Also my pasta and main course arrived simultaneously
Have been here a few times over the years but not sure I would return
Also not that cheap despite being right next to the fish/meat/veg market which has excellent produce at good prices
