If you want a pizza while in Houghton Lake, Buccilli's is the ONLY place to go!! They have tons of different options & everything is delicious. If you are dining in, there's also a large salad bar you can get.
Be prepared though - it gets busy on the weekends especially but it's totally worth it!!

The East Bay Grille offers a casual, but intimate dining atmosphere serving only the freshest & finest food available. Our chef will be happy to accommodate any special dietary requirements that you might have.
This restaurant is located inside the Springbrook Inn and offers an upscale dining experience which you do not usually find in the Houghton Lake Area. The meals are on the expensive side so we will probably not dine here again unless it is a special occasion. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and our meals were fantastic. They offer a wide selection of entrees and have a large selection of wines to choose from. Before arriving we had looked at their menu online and when we got there we found that the prices had increased and some of the menu selections had changed. This is something management needs to correct. Also, it was very stuffy in the restaurant. The air conditioner was not working or was not turned up high enough. It made it uncomfortable to enjoy the great meal. Also, the men's restroom did not have a door on the stall. I am not sure what the purpose it behind this but the gentleman in our party was not pleased. Next door to this restaurant is the Frog Tiki Bar which offers a more informal dining experience. It feels like you are in the Florida Keys and they often have live entertainment. The grounds are beautifully landscaped.

We love the banana splits! They are way better than banana splits we have been served elsewhere for way more money! We get to choose our toppings. There is an entire banana not just a few pieces scattered around.

Another stop on our mission to try new eating experiences as we travel home from Up North, down I-75. This was an average diner. It was pretty busy and appears popular with locals. The dining area was crammed with tables, making it difficult to navigate to the restroom. My husband had a cup of steak and ale soup that he enjoyed and said was obviously homemade. We shared the Logan’s BLT Club on marble rye. We took our waitresses recommendation and upgraded to onion rings that she declared addicting. The sandwich was nice, but missing the bacon. Our attentive waitress brought 2 slices from the kitchen. The onion rings were OK, not anything I’d rave about. The batter wasn’t overwhelming. The restroom could have used some tidying.

We didn't know where to go to eat that evening. We asked the clerk at Walmart and she said: "Lee's kitchen is the best!"
When we entered, the server promptly led us to our table. Part of the meal was Eggdrop soup, but it does have chicken broth in it. As we are vegetarians, that can be a problem. "One moment" said the server. Within 5 minutes she said that the chef would make a different recipe for us, a vegetarian one. Wow! I was quite surprised.
She brought our soup and some Chinese crackers to put it in the soup. She told us it was delicious. My wife found out it was not gluten-free, the server changed her mind: "It is not good at all. Forget what I said. It's a good thing you won't eat any of it!' We laughed and laughed and I ate all these crackers.
We ordered Egg Foo Yung. We were asked if we wanted lunch or dinner. The difference is that for lunch it's 2 patties, for dinner 3 patties. My wife took the lunch version and I took the dinner version.
When she came with my plate, my eyes popped out! No way would I ever be able to eat all of that. The server told me: "You have to finish your plate before you can leave." She was so funny.
It was delicious! My wife as well as myself were unable to eat it all. And all that for 20$, including the tip. Wow! This is a great restaurant!

We stopped for breakfast since it was close to our hotel and I am happy we did. The place is not huge so the food comes out quick and hot, I had the framers omelet which I recommend and the wife had the skillet, The place was very comfortable as far as it felt like you were part of the family.

Tonight we were very pleased by our visit to Randy's Family Restaurant. We were here for the Friday Fish Specials, and those dinners were delicious. The dinner included a nice salad bar and soup bar. The soup was French Onion (yum-yum) and Clam Chowder. There was something else we thought was "special" and that was our waitress Katlyn . She made sure everything was exactly as we wanted it to be. In fact, whenmy wife asked about a dinner roll Katlyn smiled and said she would be right back...with a nice dinner roll for my wife. Now, that is service! You've got to head to Randy's for your next dinner out in town.
