Wish we had booked as we were sat on our own outside so I think it lost some of the atmosphere (our own fault), but still glad that we went. You choose the size of steak you want and it's cooked to perfection, such brilliant flavours and a some nice beer to wash it down with. Helpful staff, and a gorgeous place inside, almost cafe like but more.
My girlfriend had pork, which she was told, would be cooked a little pink. At first this worried her a little, but when she tasted it, there was no going back! Brilliant food, if you're in the area, go try it out!

Advanced Booking is suggested, The Restaurant close at Midnight
Was greeted with a glass of prosecco. After ordering food received a complimentary bean soup with an assortment of rolls and bread all freshly cooked early that dayolive and tomato bread, walnut bread, aniseed bread to name a few. The olive and tomato was excellent. Just had main course with bottle of wine. The Florentine steak was cooked to perfection and nice but have tasted better. The seafood dish was very tasty. The ambience and service was excellent. The Restaurant was quite expensive but worth going there for a treat.

Four of us enjoyed a 3 hour three course lunch at this beautiful establishment. Very much out of the way of the tourist trail as evidenced by us being the only English speakers and no English menus. Didn't matter as my daughter is an expert in the language. You can eat inside or outside on the deck overlooking the hills and Mountains. I rarely find that 4 people each sing the praises of their main course at the one time. This happened here. Dishes ranged from Venison, very tender, to the best sea bass, full of flavour, moist and perfectly presented with sliced potatoes and mushrooms. Others included slow cooked pork which was voted excellent, and pigeon which was delectable. Appetisers included scallops and a flan of artichokes and seafood sauce. Deserts were all top notch. This place is a winner. Good food and great wine list, including our favourites from Avignonesi winery.

No menu and fixed price. If you like, you can drink some good wine. At your table, you'll be served (family style) 1,200 - 1,800 g or 2,400 g of top quality steak (600 g per person). While you steak is grilling, you'll taste a light appetizer to occupy your wait time and enjoy your steak with relish. Your steak will be done at sight on a wood-burning grill and will be accompanied by three side-dishes. A dessert will complete you dinner. The only extra could be the wine, if you like it, to be chosen from our rich list from €8.00 Upwards.
Our first visit in nearly two years was well worth the wait. Gerardo, his daughter Jessica and his wife welcomed us as though we were family. The excellent bistecca, appetizers, dessert and a nice Rosso from Montepulciano were all graciously served.
It was great to return and find the same excellent quality of the bistecca and the warm and friendly service. We will return soon!
Tip: Make a reservation.

The Good..
*Simply the best steak I have ever had, the meat was literally taken from the counter of the butchers next door and presented to me for my approval. Cooked perfectly. AMAZING. 3 course meal and lovely wine for 2 people for 60 euros.
*Waiter was friendly and passionate about the food and spoke good English.
*Food was freshly prepared and served within a good time frame between each course.
The Not So Good..
*Slightly small in size which meant a tight squeeze to get to the toilet.
*Not located in England for me to visit within the next month.

The Locanda is the new born of 'farm village La Casetta. Renzo and Laura offer you a menu with various dishes of the Tuscan tradition.
We had no idea what to expect, we walked up the hill from Hotel Monti, listening to the pipistrelle bats and the gentle hooting of an owl. We were welcomed most pleasantly and told it was a fixed menu. We tried the house chianti which was very nice and was part of the menu. We started with a mix of cold cuts, cheese and home made preserves. Then there were lots of little side dishes, beans, hot spinach tart etc. Then it was polenta with a fresh porcini sauce. The food just kept coming and it was all really good. We finished up with apple cake, coffee and home-made limoncello. The 'mom' came out a few times to talk with the customers and make sure everything was ok. The two sons were the waiters and the dad the chef. When we got the bill we really were blown away. 54 euro for the two of us. That really was the cherry on a delightful cake.

Came with my boyfriend to this restaurant after being recommended by friend from England. We walked In to a super clean and beautiful looking restaurant and was greeted by tiziano who was a partner in the restaurant! He then introduced us to erriu our waitress who took us to our table. She soon after took our order then bought us out a complimentary carrot soup and a glass of prosecco which was a lovely touch. Everything we ate here was explained to us in detail, the food came out well presented and was absolutely delicious I will definitely be coming back here again and recommending to all my family and friends! Compliments to the chef food and service was of a 5* quality

Don't be put off by the super-deluxe, stylish hotel setting: you don't have to put on your Sunday best to enjoy an excellent meal here.
This restaurant offers superb, tasty food and an elegant, fine dining experience. It's not cheap but it's worth paying for the quality. The service is discreet, charming and warm with attention to small details.
I woul heartily encourage anyone to take advantage of the social offer with The Fork and eat here - eat well and eat often!!

What a wonderful find while traveling in Monsummano visiting friends. The burgers are fantastic and fresh. Everything is made to order and the homemade dipping sauces for the fries were delicious! It's a very casual atmosphere and reminded me of a burger shop in the US, only much fresher and tastier with attention to every detail on the plate. A nice break from pasta and a great place to get a taste of home. A must on my next return!
