Thirty years in the business and certainly deserving of their Michelin Star. Every dish is timed perfectly. Presentation was grand and staff always professional. Comprehensive wine list. Sommelier produced a NZ Pinot noir after asking what we usually like to drink !! The amuse bouche were the best I have ever tasted. Nice little Menu offering interesting choices.

There are bad restaurants, good restaurants and then there are great restaurants. Amongst the great restaurants this stands out because it isn't just that the food is outstanding, which it is, but the event is pure theatre. Each course describes a part of the lives of the brothers that direct this fantastic place. Everything is superb, from the kitchen tour before dinner, through the inventive world canape, to each delightful dish. Everything is beautiful, every plate is amazing (the plate as well as the food). Plates that hold the exact temperature that is desired for the dish. To top it all, the biggest wine list I have ever seen and it is wonderful. The contents are great and the price range excellent, so good value can be had as well as good wine. The tour of the wine store after dinner is a further delight. Service, as you would expect, is outstanding. What a wonderful evening this was. It takes ages to get a table, but just do it.

Three times here. The first time, many years ago, we stopped by accident as we were late in the middle of a summer storm.
They received us with a glass of cava/champagne, love at first sight...
"Rovellons de botó"/wild mushrooms, makes me cry, surprise, taste and presentation.
Pigeon rice, cockle can, nitrogen dessert,...
Try to remain in the area for two or three days, if more, you will be addictive. Catalonia and catalans is a great and genuine place to discover

The reviews for this restaurant made my husband and I want to visit it. We could not get a table ad hoc on Wed 8th but booked for Thurs 9th July. What a revelation the food was, small portions as warned but the flavours were fantastic, the Patatas Bravas, reindeer and veal cheek deserve special mention. We ordered 6 dishes between us and had room for pudding, which was also full of flavour surprises. Even the bread (sourdough) was great. There are only 7 tables so please try to book, you won't be disappointed!

Visiting this cocktail bar is definitely a unique experience in each visit, if you dare to leave the classics gintonics, pisco saur, mojitos and enter the world of a professional like Mariona and her team, perfectly able to attend two rooms, one total of twenty tables more or less. Better to arrive before 11:00 PM. We have discovered that each visit must confess the mood and how many tips come from dinner, after this information let yourself be advised and the experience will be unforgettable. Normally, if I go with my girlfriend, we ask for two different cocktails, which is why I can assure you that I tested at least 16 different ...

Had an early dinner that could only be described as avant garde tapas. Extremely creative cooking going on here, and I have never had anything quite like it in Spain before. Excellent wine, excellent service, highly recommended.

We are closed until the 22nd of March. We apoligize for any inconvenience. Can Sophia Restaurante. <br>Our Restaurant is located in the old garden of this 200 years old mansion house. This cozy restaurant offers you contemporany dishes prepared using the finest quality and seasonal products. Can Sophia is twice elected as "Best restaurant of the Costa Brava".
Visited again as we had been slightly disappointed during our previous visit and were extremely pleased that things had improved.
We sat inside this time around as the weather was cooler however the ambiance was lovely and the area within the atrium bright and welcoming.
Having ordered a bottle of an organic white wine (delicious!) we started with the tuna tartar and thinly sliced iberico pork which were both lovely - the tuna was just perfect and there was plenty of it!
Mains were sea bass and beef entrcote. The sea bass again was divine however the beef had quite a lot of fat around it, although it was tender and well cooked. Maybe having a beef fillet on the menu would be good as this is what we would prefer and is always a good option to have.
Dessert was the 3 chocolates plus more .... what can I say. It was just beautiful. Chocolate cake, ice cream, mousse, a granita (chocolate ice!) and a sauce - chocolate heaven!!
Service was again fantastic and the welcome we received was warm and friendly. Thank you for making us feel so at home.
We will definitely be back next year (maybe to see a beef fillet on the the menu?!) and would recommend a visit to anyone visiting Tossa.

Had the evening tasting menu a few nights ago consisting of seven courses which sounds delightful! I am a foodie and was really looking forward to this. One of these courses consisted of really salty bread and another course resembled a slice of pizza but was sweet. The non bread related courses; some of which were wrapped in pasta and some of their contents were unrecognisable. Other courses which could be identified were covered in sweet sauces. It was clear that all of the courses were pre frozen and but one were served cold and the 'ping' of the microwave could be heard potentially heating our one luke warm course. All of the menu was 'cooked' by the chef who was also the waiter and the man answering the phone. No choice of wine was offered if ordering by the glass and my second glass of wine was different to my first even though I didn't request a change. The only positive I can take from this meal was that thankfully the food cost approximately 19 euros each. A real let down and would not recommend this.
