Nice restaurant in Valdecabras, only 15 kms. Far away from Cuenca. Typical food in a beautiful village.
This restaurant is worth your visit; you’ll be one hundred per cent pleased and satisfied. Sympatico Francisco one of the three partners makes sure you’ll enjoy your effort coming to this little village in the valley between the Mountains of Sierra Cuenca, about 20 KMs North of the town Cuenca.
The quality of food is without doubt top; the house wine is excellent and all is modestly priced. No rip off whatsoever. Highly recommended to visit this hidden corner (Rincon) between the Mountains, and experience an unforgettable time:)
Your patronage, highly appreciated, is expressed by an after dinner liquor on the house!

We ordered an assortment of entrance dishes including two mixed salads. All these were shared among our eight guests who were visiting us from out of town. While these were being devoured the chefs were busy cooking the house specialty of baby suckling pig. These are only cooked to order so it took some time but the wait was worth it.
We were so full and satisfied that we had to share some of their special desserts.
The after meal coffee with cognac helped to make the outing a perfect one.

Do not be deceived by the tatty street - this is astonishingly good cooking served in beautifully and thoughtfully decorated rooms, by charming and attentive staff. Definitely worth the michelin star. Loved the red water glasses!

Wonderful welcome on entering this restaurant. We had the set evening menu for €18. First, some little appetisers, then a choice of wonderful soups. Main courses perfectly cooked - the chicken in honey and rosemary was full of flavour, and the pork loin cooked to perfection. Choice of interesting desserts. The price included a glass of house wine, which was of good quality.
When you're in Alarcón you have to eat here, but if you go at the weekend or in the summer, make sure to book.
This restaurant is comfortable, and the kind of place you like to stay a while - not to mention the fabulous views from the back of the restaurant and the Terrace.

We went here last night after asking our hotel receptionist to recommend a Spanish restaurant. It's down a back street and wouldn't have been that easy to find, but was completely full of Spanish families, with just one table left inside.
The menu is all in Spanish and the staff don't speak English, so with our very limited Spanish we ordered steak and calamari with a house salad. All was beautifully cooked and presented, and with a decent bottle of house red wine, water and bread, total bill was a very reasonable 50 euros. They are generous with their portions so you don't need to order too much. They don't take bookings so it's a bit hit and miss whether you'll be able to get a table, but it's worth going to if you can.

I have just visited Meson Darling with my Spanish friends. From the outside it just looks like a typical Spanish bar in Cuenca. However, as soon as you step inside there is a lovely atmosphere, a seated dining area or seats around the bar if you prefer.
The free tapas with a drink is excellent and varied, the variety of food on offer is varied, tasty, and really good quality. The specialities of Cuenca are delicious, I particularly recommend the morteruela which was superb.
Forget the more expensive restaurants in the old town catering for foreign tourists, give this place a try, you won't regret it!
The wine is also great value!

If you can find this down the hill, from the old town,it is well worth the trek. Restaurant opens at 2:00 but you can reserve ahead- best food and presentation I have ever seen! Limited English, but we managed. Had salad with tuna, absolutely beautiful, Husband had the cod, gorgeous, I had the chicken. Amazing presentation and quality of food. If you are a foodie, do't miss this one.

We took breakfast, lunch and diner here during three days and we kept coming back because of the honest kitchen and the polite and exceptional treatment we received.
The food was always fresh and well cooked.
For the price the restaurant asks and the quality they offer one can only be pleasantly surprised. (we took the day menu)
We tried various fish and meat dishes and both were tasty and well cooked.
Take this and the way we were treated and you have a winning team.
We would like to express our special thanks to Javier! What a lovely man and perfect host he is! (and we forgive him his opinion about the bruges soccer team...)

Everything about this restaurant is classy with a great attention to detail. The staff are welcoming and professional, the decor is sparkling yet muted and the dishes are executed within a millimetre of perfection.
The combination of dishes are often to personal taste and others will want to comment but it is fair to say that the dishes we experienced were both presented and cooked to Michelin standard. Ingredients were fresh with an interesting fusion of flavours.
Chef Jesus Segura visited the tables and was humble and yet welcoming to this new restaurant which deserves to succeed in crowded space in a fascinating city.
