It's been awhile since my last visit and based on how crowded this place always seems to be, I expected to have some good Mexican food. That was not the case on this particular night. The staff is friendly and efficient, but when my server handed me a menu that was full of lettuce and sour cream on the inside pages, I had a feeling things were going to go downhill. The chips were rather stale and hadn't been warmed. The salsas were fine, but it didn't matter because the chips weren't tasty. Our plates of food, while steaming hot, were also covered with a layer of cheese that had become crusted onto the tops of our enchiladas and rellenos. I was able to peel an entire crust of it off of my plate. I like cheese, but not in the excessive amount that was layered on our food. Everything was smothered in it. Maybe that's the way a lot of people like it, but I would rather taste something other than cheese. The rellenos were a mess. I had to dig down into it to find any evidence of a chili. It appeared that there was just a tiny sliver of chili that had been deep fried in the thickest batter I've ever seen. All I could taste was batter and more cheese. The fish tacos were unremarkable. Not a lot of fish and as we didn't finish them because again, everything was drenched in cheese - yuck!
To be fair, my husband and I didn't have this experience on our last visit. I don't know what's changed, but I don't think I'll be back for quite some time.

The coffee shop is right on the highway and very inviting inside and out. Free fast WIFI.
Service so kind and friendly and clean bathrooms.
Coffee is organic but US standard American tasting weak coffee (even dark roast). They do almond and coconut milk as milk substitutes.
Smoothie horrible because cloyingly sweet. We had to throw it out.
We were disappointed.

We love this little place, good breakfast only open til 2. Daily specials are very good and reasonable prices.... friendly waitresses. They also have a build a burger menu on the table... food does take a little longer because it is made fresh for you, it even says it on the menu, so don't be in a hurry to visit and get out. it's worth the wait.

Overall the food at this coffee stand is excellent. For something different try their hot dogs. But, best thing on menu is breakfast burrito. I moved up from L A area and have had some of the finest breakfast burritos there are. And for being Northern Idaho this burrito is great. Also, enjoy the fact that I can get just a plain cup of drip coffee anytime.

Three of us had a late breakfast (or early lunch) at this place we otherwise might have driven right past but for a recommendation from someone in Newport. My sister ordered an omelet with veggies and my brother-in-law and I both ordered the country-fried steak and eggs. Even though there weren't more than a dozen customers, we had to wait maybe 30 minutes or more, but it was WORTH it. The wait was not due to laziness or being ignored. In fact, the server was fantastically friendly, jovial, and helpful. The wait was due, in part, to this being a much more relaxed part of the world most of us inhabit (so RELAX), but was due in most part to everything being prepared FRESH, when ordered, not ahead of time. We could see the cook working.
Results: My sister was amazed at how large and tasty the omelet was, and the hash browns. My brother-in-law and I agreed on the GIGANTIC country-fried steak, cream gravy, hash browns, biscuit (homemade), and eggs were. In fact, we agreed that we would kill (figuratively) to eat that, there, over and over. However, you will need at least 24 hours between meals, because the portions were GIGANTIC. GIGANTIC + DELICIOUS + REALLY GREAT PRICES = FOOD NIRVANA.
I live an hour away (one-way) but WILL drive back there just for eats.

I was so excited to see a new pizza place in town. They completely messed up my order, although they did fix it but it still cost me time. Pizza wasn't very good.

Family owned for 31 years!! We have outdoor seating on our screened in deck, or inside, and also a banquet room for different occasions. We offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and Mexican food all day long! We serve beer, and wine. Come in for a great meal and good service!
Shannon and Ray are always there to serve and prepare fabulous, friendly food. Ray knows all his customers and Shannon remembers customers likes and dislikes! Fabulous chef (Shannon) and waiter (Ray).

We visited this restaurant several times during our stay in Priest River. We had the same server all but one day, and she was friendly, efficient and attentive. The food was very good. They had the fluffiest and lightest biscuits I've had since I lived in Georgia 40+ years ago. Very good food, cooked perfectly.

Stopped here for lunch on my birthday, so glad that we did! It's very clean and cozy, and the sandwiches are so good -- make sure you order the right size because they are huge! Very nice bartender and the atmosphere is really great. We will definitely try the pizza next time we go.

Had lunch here with 2 other people and while the service was friendly enough, the food was nothing to get excited over. Between the salads and sandwiches, everything was basic and uninspiring. Nothing I couldn't get elsewhere in town. Atmosphere is non existent.
